Why do I always feel guilty applying for jobs??? Because you are a loyal person...but don't feel guilty...that is how life is and you should seize the opportunity. I hope you get the job - best of luck and keep us updated if you can.

Oh that is so wonderful! I am so happy for you. I have been living debt free for several years now and I know how free you feel, especially from that credit card debit. Congratulations!!

Yes, we have a popular bistro in town with a few locations and their sandwiches, salads and baked goods are served out of glass cabinets like this. Their food is wonderful and it’s pleasing to see the food to help you make a decision and possibly try something new.

I would have a talk with him & tell him that he can’t control what comes out of your mouth or what you type and you don’t appreciate him “correcting” your text and he needs to stop. If he doesn’t stop after your discussion, I honestly would not text him - I would totally ignore his text (unless an emergency) & when he asked why you won’t respond, I would tell him because he hasn’t respected your request to stop correcting them.

I am feeling so sad, about 3 weeks ago, the owner of our LYS sent an email telling everyone to get the shingles shot because she hasn’t been in the store because she had gotten shingles and was having a hard time.
Today, her daughters sent out an email saying that she developed complications from Shingles, has to be hospitalized and she passed away yesterday. I am shocked and saddened.
I’ve been going to her beautiful yarn shop & of course have known her for years.

I know - that seemed like a plot hole there. I didn’t read the book, but a friend told me that In the book Isabella guessed about the photo frame because Maya doesn’t put photos up then suddenly had a pre loaded digital frame, so she determined it was a nanny cam frame. Maybe it’s explained better in the book???

I just finished watching a limited 8-episode series called "Fool Me Once" on Netflix - it was really good!
Following the murder of her husband Joe, Maya Stern was given a nanny cam by a friend to watch over her daughter Lilly. However, after watching nanny camera footage, she sees Joe, who was presumed dead, visiting his daughter. Meanwhile, Abby and Daniel, her niece and nephew, seek to find the truth about their mother's (Maya's sister) murder and the possible connections between both cases.

We just watched the movie The Leftovers with Paul Giamatti on Peacock. Very good movie! Do you mean “The Holdovers”? I haven’t seen it yet, but keep hearing good things about it.

I recently saw Disney’s “Wish” and thought it was just ok. I thought younger kids might find it a little hard to understand. It had quiet a few cute Easter eggs in the movie, nods to Snow White, Peter Pan, etc.

I love long road trips but haven't been on one that long before. I think it is fun if you plan some stops/sight seeing along the way to give yourselves something look forward to and it breaks up the trip a little. On my most recent trip (about 15 hours), we made stops to see a quilt museum and Laura Ingalls Wilder's home (where she lived her adult life with Almanzo and daughter). Of course we had a final destination, but it helped to have stops along the way and to see parts of the country that we normally wouldn't.

I've decided that I want to start my day off each day with a list of 3-5 things I want to accomplish that day. They don't have to be big or super important, and they won't be things I HAVE to do I have started doing this daily, thanks to you and I feel like I am accomplishing things better. I love this idea! Thanks for sharing it with us.

@quiltz - wow! I love those quilts…they are all beautiful! I finally tried the granny square yarn and it worked perfectly. Each round color changed exactly as it was supposed to. I did go down 2 hook sizes in order to get gauge. I really liked it though. Colorway: Aran-Cream

I just got my first tooth implant and honestly it wasn’t bad at all. It was a long process because you have to wait between times of pulling the tooth (to give bone time to heal - I didn’t need a bone graft) and you get the implant in stages, so it takes several months. The procedures themselves were not bad at all and I am very satisfied with the final result

I need to absolutely stop spending on yarn and ignore the sale emails/posts. I have more than enough expensive yarn to do me for 5 or 6 projects....ugh Ugh - it is so hard. I was at JoAnn’s yesterday and yarn was 25% off and I saw some super pretty yarn for a shawl and put it in my cart. After walking around a bit, I said to myself “What am I doing? I have so much yarn at home and plenty to make a shawl” so despite wanting to, I put it back. I do not need yarn but it’s hard to pass it up, especially when on sale.

Good morning! I was up past my bedtime last night, then had trouble falling asleep. But of course I was up at 5 just like clockwork. Apparently I'm starting 2024 with a crazy headache and stuffy nose too. Boo! Hiss! But I'm pretending like I was just too excited to work on my quilt today to sleep. Better than gifts at Christmas really. I got all my triangles done. Now the test of my skill will be if I can sew the blocks together right. That's how I'll know I did a good job making the triangles. I'm nervous to see how it comes out. Once Jeremy gets out of bed, I can go in and press them. I have decided I need to do a no spend on crafty stuff for quite a while. I have so much just sitting in my stash waiting to be used. I want to try hard to finish up some projects that have been hanging around way too long. Has anyone heard if the Tackle That WIP thing is going on again this year? I feel like I need her little chart... 😂 I fell right off the bandwagon last year. Anyone else feel compelled this year to stop the spending and/or tackle older projects? I only 3 WIPs, but one of them I am thinking about frogging, because I am not liking it. I do plan on putting those other 2 WIPs on the forefront though and really working to get them done. I think one will be completed pretty quickly, but the other one...I'm not so sure. I 100% vow not to buy any yarn in 2024 until I have used up a lot of my stash. In fact, there is a new self-making Granny Square yarn that I just wanted to try, so I told myself that I had to buy it in 2023 since I couldn't in 2024. 😂 I just got one skein to give it a try because I've heard mixed reviews. Have you seen it? It's pretty cool, if it works. I will let report back on my testing with it. I haven't heard of the Tackle That WIP thing - what is this chart you speak of? I'm looking foward to seeing your quilt and everyone's projects.

I haven't used it personally, but...I saw my dental assistant a few months ago and was amazed at how beautiful her hair was. Her husband died about 3 years ago and due to the stress and a health issue, she had lost a lot of hair. I told her that her hair looked so beautiful and she told me she had been taking Nutrafol. She said it took about 4 months to see real progress, but after about 6 months, her hair was back to normal. I have thought about it as well, but the cost is a factor for me, plus I worry about my patience of keeping with it for 6 months to see how it works.
