I had to look up what a slam ball is. That looks like a great work out and stress reliever. If I didn’t have some one living beneath me...... It is! I use it outdoors because I’m sure it could go through the floor as hard as I throw that thing😂 |

My family laughs at me but I don’t go anywhere without my 20lb slam ball. Amazing stress relief. A TSA agent recognized me outside the airport from all the additional screenings I’ve gone through as a loc’d black woman traveling with a mysterious ball. 😂

I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. My only point was if you compare the sentiments in both threads there is something to be taken from the lack of concern. Not only just a lack of empathy but also a willingness to make us monsters. You think it unfair but imagine how I am feeling. I seriously have sat in bed praying for miracles for you women and if I was shot by police I am 100% certain peas would tarnish my name and say I had a smart mouth. Please think about what you really truly feel about black people and how it contributes to this. Everything that is big and black doesn't need to be shot dead. That Cards of Humanity shit isn't just laughs over drinks. Black people haven't been treated fairly in the past and America is failing us again. I don’t think Biden will win. 2016 election results shocked the shit out of me. I couldn’t believe it happened. I came to this board seething and essentially punching air. Not again. Predictable behavior and patterns won’t ever shock me again. Keeping my finger on this board has really helped shape how I feel about the potential of America. If I were a betting person, I'd bet you be wrong. I have followed and read enough to think that it's highly improbable. Clinton made a lot of mistakes. She made them is 2008 and she made fewer in 2016, but she made enough for the loss. Biden has not. For a nominee who I thoroughly disliked to begin with (disliked as a nominee, not otherwise), I am impressed with the people he has surrounded himself with. THAT is what is important. When you have chosen a group of people like he has, I think there is a lot of hope. I am clinging to it. What happened in 2016 also shocked the shit out of me, but it's what happened in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 that have made me sickened. I will not - absolutely not - stay in the country if Trump is re-elected. Period. I am lucky enough to be able to leave, but Canada is also welcoming Americans as political asylum. The reactionary response to Americans filing for political asylum isn’t something I want to even consider right now. I was very careful with my responses on my application for that reason. |

I think 45’s corruption began with dollars and sense though 😳the amount of debt he has!!!! I used to be in a relationship with a man who had a security clearance. It was TS but as far as I know he didn’t really have access to much of anything....every year we were “roommates” I had to submit a financial portfolio complete with my debts and who I owed in order for him to remain employed. The threshold was so low he even paid off a small balance of mine because he didn’t want to fill out additional paperwork. Meanwhile Russia only had to do some low level Pinky and the Brain work to find out America’s weakness is racism and 45’s pockets 🤷🏾♀️ |

Sincere appreciation. No one else could have said this. I have a personal rule to never post on threads that follow this pattern, but you have given me hope that we truly all are worthy to have a seat at the table. Thank you for extending it. Everyone who wants to help in the cause is worthy. I’m extending my arms in welcome. We need all the help we can get. I don’t disagree. I just don’t think we’ve got to lie to anyone about the progress that hasn’t actually happened or sit on our hands while white women excuse racist behaviors of white men. If you navigate racial tensions in a manner white women deem worthy of circling around and rewarding...that’s fine. But I don’t think it’s fair to me or the other black women who feel like I do to be demonized. I’d never set about doing that to another Black woman. No matter my age. And certainly not in mixed company. I took issue with the excusing of his behavior yesterday and I still do. I don’t think teachers or allies behave like that. Period. |
