I love this idea as we are leaving for our cabin next weekend where I will spend most of my week making my Christmas cards!!! I also just happen to be scrapbooking my photos from Christmas 2015.

I tell myself this whenever my mom, sister or sister-in-law ask if I happen to have a photo of any given family gathering, even if I have photos of their children's events as they don't take pictures.

After 2 months of not meeting my goals (actually not having much mojo at all) I'm finally back to (and enjoying scrapbooking) again!! YAY me!! And just in time as we go to our cabin for a week the last part of June. That is when I make my Xmas cards. So my goal this month is 40 cards and 15 pages. I've finished 5 so far so I should make my goal this month....

I did this 3 years ago! My hubby and I being new empty nesters and summer fanatics made a bucket list of fun things we wanted to do that summer. It was the first summer we could actually concentrate on the things we wanted to do. It was wonderful! It included trips to the beach, new restaurants and a trip up north to hike and explore! I made a mini-album with the photos of each event. It is one of my favorite albums actually!

Even though I have always loved, and still love lots of dimensional embellishments on my layouts, I have started making flat pages. They fit into my albums better and don't bend the opposite page. I am also able to fit more pages into the albums.

I'm hoping to later this evening. I'm still at my DD's doing our garage sale. I didn't get any scrapbooking done this weekend but had a very nice weekend with my DD!! Also, I did get some photos taken!!

Since I already have my 2 Mother's Day cards done, I have my Mom's bday, a couple of graduation cards and a wedding card to make. I also want to get a lot done in my 2015 family album, I've finished up to July. I am hoping to scrapbook all next weekend for NSD so hopefully I will get a lot done then. Happy Scrapbooking everyone!! I guess I won't get much scrapbooking done this weekend... UGH!! My daughter was planning on having a garage sale in 2 weeks that I was going to help with. Well, plans changed and it's this weekend. Don't get me wrong. I'm very excited to spend a few days with her but just wished it wasn't THIS weekend. Oh well. I will have lots of other days to scrapbook considering I'm an empty nester. Happy scrapping to everyone that will get some scrapping time this weekend. |

I really, really want to like to stamp but I just don't...I never have no matter how much I have tried to. It's just not my thing. But the ironic thing is I love to make cards. It is kind of my way of letting others know I care and am thinking of them.

Unfortunately no. My LSS is 2 hours away.. But I actually love that place! It is amazing! They have a great selection there and the employees are SO nice! I go whenever I can about 4 times a year. It's well worth the wait to go.

When you have already finished scrapping an event and moved on only to find a photo or two that you wanted to include but didn't and there's no room to include it on the layout.

I had planned and hoped to get a lot done yesterday and today but unfortunately only got 3 pages done and although I like how they turned out I'm struggling as to why I actually did them. I had already scrapped those photos but did those for my DD's album. I had decided not to continue to do separate albums for her but although she seemed to understand why I was only going to do family albums she seemed a little disappointed not to have me do a separate one for her so I felt guilty so hence the repeat pages...

Oh my gosh!! What a wonderful idea! I wish my DD was in your class!! I would love that for Mothers Day!! I actually have a couple of pages my DD made for me of pictures of us framed and hanging up!!

I'm at a 3 day crop. Started yesterday at 3p. There are 5 of us friends together. My space all unpacked and ready to go.  This picture makes me SO jealous! I have been missing and regretting not going to my usual April retreat. I've been getting some pages and cards done at home but miss being around other scrapbookers and paper crafters. I'm going next fall for sure! Enjoy your weekend!!! |

I am all packed up for a weekend crop. Everything scrappy is in my vehicle. In the morning I just need to get myself ready and pack some clothes. Crop doesn't start til late afternoon, but I need to print some pic's, visit the accountant to sign my tax documents, pick up some stuff my LSS has had tucked away for me, and run some errands for dh before then, so I will be leaving in the morning. Love your owl pic, msliz . We have magpies around here, and they are not nearly as nice to listen to! Enjoy your weekend crop! It sounds like a wonderful weekend to me! This is the first year I didn't go to a weekend retreat that I usually always go to and am REALLY missing it although I have gotten a lot of scrapping done at home. It's always nice to be around other people who share our love for this hobby. It always gives me a lot of inspiration. |

I got to thinking I don't have a table to put scrapbooks or layouts on but I do have a couple layouts framed and hanging on the wall. On a trip last fall, my DH took a picture of me taking a picture. He then wrote me a short letter saying that he loves watching me take pictures because he knows how much I love to do just that. He gave me both the photo and the letter for our anniversary and said to make a layout using them, which is what I did and have hanging in our family room. It is one of my favorite layouts actually even though it's about me, which I rarely do.
