I just bought frozen fries to test out the air fryer function on our new microwave. There were plenty here. I didn’t look for Fritos. I couldn’t find any gumdrops for DH this week at four different stores. They’re his favorite candy. Let me know if you need them—I saw lots of gum drops on a display today!

I wonder if it has to do with where you live. All 3 of my local stores had Fritos and some frozen potatoes. Have you tried Walmart's brand? I actually prefer them over the name brand. Also, my Walmart is able to keep their brand name things in stock. I ordered for pick up from Whole Foods their brand if corn chips—they had them and we like them too. I did look for store brands in the grocery stores I went to today and no corn chips, and none of that puff butter/cheese hull-less pop corn. Snyder had a version of it and it was weird (not normal) looking, tiny little chunks.

So why are no Fritos to be found anywhere?! I went to 4 stores and 2 beverage drive they’d looking for them and nothing! Did I miss a notice of a shortage or something? Also all the stores that I went to today were totally out if any kind of frozen potatoes—French fries, tater tots, hash browns, waffle fries… I don’t know about Fritos, but frozen potatoes have been out of stock everywhere for a least a month now. Lol…tells you how often I buy them! 🤣🤣

You can cancel a paid membership, go down to their free version where all your playlists will be intact. That’s is ad supported, so they still get money from *free* accounts. I moved all my playlists over to Apple Music. They have family memberships, yes. Yeah, I’m aware. I just posted that option for those who were afraid of listing their playlists.

I knew nothing about this until Brene Brown posted and then I had to figure out what was going on. I think the part that really gets me is that he has a lucrative contract with Spotify. It’s one thing to allow freedom of speech, it’s another thing to enable and reward someone for spreading misinformation. It’s gross. They do it/allow him to push the limits because of the ad revenue that Rogan brings in.

I’ve been using Spotify for years and years and have so many playlists. We have a family account so one person is wanting to switch over. I’m thinking about Apple Music but is there anything else? Amazon music…anyone use that? You can cancel a paid membership, go down to their free version where all your playlists will be intact.

Thank you for recognizing the bias of the writer. Perhaps we could have had a more reasoned conversation if you initially posted the other half of the story. No thanks. I don't need lessons on what *I* should do to have a reasoned discussion from someone committed to not having one. No lessons needed from someone who will do anything to avoid the appearance of ever being wrong, including throwing all manner of verifiable lies out to see what sticks or in hopes that people will just give up and walk away from your bullshit. Were you looking in a mirror when you wrote out this post? You’re full of gaslighting crap every post you make. In other words…You’re going to continue to lie, keep things out of context, only post your cherry picked parts of a story, and gaslight, in hopes that you don’t get called out. And then when you do, you’re going to twist like a pretzel to blame others for your babble.

We have a family account and we all use it every day. We’re checking into alternatives. I don’t think Spotify really cares about Neil Young and Joni Mitchell pulling their music. I think it will take someone much bigger and current pulling their music to get their attention. They may not care, but they are losing money. they are likely locked into a contract to stay, but I cannot imagine that it is as much as they have been loosing in value!

Have you tried massage for your dog? Or a heating pad under a blanket he lays on? Or warm baths? My DM facebook group says dogs with DM can't control their body temp very well and often pant because they are too warm. That they like a fan on them. But that doesn't always work, so it can't hurt to try the heating pad and see if that helps. Thanks for the idea!
She doesn't like baths but needs them because she smells so bad (bladder leaks). We have stairs and I can't get her up the stairs without lots of help. My 22 yr. old is coming over today to help us give her a bath.
I tried a massage a few months ago as our dog PT recommended it but she wasn't a fan. I should try again. Thanks! She has lost most of the muscle in her back legs as she hasn't been able to use her left leg since Oct. and her right leg since Dec.
Thanks for your suggestions! I appreciate them and often forget other options as I keep busy with her day to day care.
Our dog didn’t do much like massages either, but now that he’s used to them, we can go deep into his muscles and joints and roll his fur/skin. He loves it now and it settles him down every time. He’s been squeaking and pacing doing circles, couldn’t sit/lay comfortably lately because of joint pain/arthritis —he was doing it this morning and I got down on the floor and made him come over and I started in on his hind quarters and worked towards his toes and back up through his butt, back, spine, and he’s still sleeping right where I left him 2 hours ago! He tore right through his meniscus in 2020, a $5000 surgery and lots of rehab. He’s 16 years old and still thinks he’s a pup, but cannot always successfully maneuver steps. Try massage, it’s free and it’s both therapeutic for the dog and yourself! ❤️

I’m genuinely happy for all of you who are in a good place in your lives. Mine is chaotic. I have two adult children with mental health issues and my 6 year old granddaughter living with me in the home that was supposed to be for me and my husband. His death, in October of 2019, began the huge tailspin and it just doesn’t ever get better for more than a day or two. I crave peace and solitude. Edited to add: I recently got a promotion at work and received a significant raise which makes me much happier with my job. Try not to look at each “great, sunshine and rainbows” post as others always being in a good place… I tend to post my feelings in the moment in which I open the thread. For example, yesterday, we got not great news (but no life/death, more annoying) on a medical issue for hubby. The day before, I hated my boss for making me feel “less than” and feeling like a failure. Try capturing the sweet, positive moments in time when you can.

It's been a rough few months. My German Shepherd has degenerative mylopathy and can no longer use her back legs. She has a lot of accidents and we have a special harness to lift her. It's all so hard, but she has started whining around late afternoon until 11:00pm or later. It's just very sad and stressful. I take care of her all day, so get nothing done around the house. The whining is very hard as there is nothing we do that makes it better. She is only 9 yrs. old and is such a good dog. Have you tried massage for your dog? Or a heating pad under a blanket he lays on? Or warm baths?

Not retired but…lounging and leisurely!
I just had a facial, haircuts for the rest of the family, got an excellent coffee, Sun is shining it’s 8 degrees (when we all left this morning it was -7) hubby is now out helping a friend, quiet house today everyone doing their own thing, gave the dog a good massage, laid on the floor with him while he napped after, and I just made an iced coffee and am headed to my art studio to organize and play the rest of the day!
When hubby gets home, we’ll go back out, pick up from target, go to tractor supply and then grab dinner.
A nice slow weekend!

Let's say you walked into an indoor space that you were about to share with 100-150 other people for the next hour. Large space but not big enough for "social distancing." At least 95% of those present are wearing masks. Let's also say the room is a church, there are signs on the doors asking everyone to wear a mask, and there are baskets of masks available if you don't have your own. What would be going through your head that would justify you NOT putting one on? This is really more of a vent than an actual question. But I just don't get it... SMH I had an opposite experience in December. Walked into a church funeral (I HAD to attend) and while there were baskets of masks and signs in doors, about half was wearing one. Go to the luncheon following, my hubby and I, and a cousin and their spouse were the only 4 out of a room of over 60-75 who had masks on.

I know this is absolute conjecture, but do you think he ever reached a point where he went, “Oh, shit. Maybe I should have.” Or does he think, every step of the way, that he’s still going to get better? Or his family, since they didn’t “do vaccines.” Does this change anyone’s mind? I wonder about that too. A teacher at my husband's school just lost her husband to Covid. Late 50s, approaching retirement, recently became a grandpa to twins, unvaccinated. It's really sad, but geez. It didn't have to be like this. Another local guy mid-50s has been in a Covid unit in a Twin Cities hospital for a few weeks. He's a nice guy. Kids are in high school. It is unlikely that he'll make it and if he does, what will his life be like? Not vaccinated. It would have cost our government about $25 to prevent his death or this ridiculously long hospital stay. I’ve been hearing that families left behind of the anti-vaxx crowd just blame doctors for not trying hard enough, or blame the liberals. It’s a cult.

It’s all about money…
“Spotify said in a statement last week that it had removed more than 20,000 podcast episodes related to COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic. But so far the company has stood by Rogan, who was reportedly paid more than $100 million by the service in exchange for the exclusive rights to his podcast.
Rogan attracts 11 million users per episode, while Young brings in 6 million users per month.”
Actions have consequences—Spotify just list $4 billion in value this week.

Spotify’s stock tanked, lost billions and so many were canceling their membership, that Spotify stopped allowing people to cancel! Actions have consequences, they made a choice, now those who pay made their choice!! Now, how is that even legal to not let people cancel a service they don't want to pay for! They claimed it to be a “technical issue”

Nice. I've never read a book? I did read about the issue from the Left leaning Mediaite <Link “Back of the hand” can also be used idiomatically to mean rebuke. But then, so can the word “rebuke.” Reich chose the words he used." Previously, when he was chastising others for their rhetoric... "Reich was clear that the implications of rhetoric are the responsibility of the person speaking. Still, at this time Reich has taken no responsibility for his own violent imagery." If you read it there as you claim, did you intentionally leave this part out? Reich deleted the tweet, but not before there was a big reaction, and many conservatives responded to him with a screenshot of the now-deleted tweet.
or this one, along with Reich's tweet wholeheartedly condemning violence At the time of this posting Reich has not apologized for the violent imagery in his tweet, instead, he blamed “conservative media” for distorting and misinterpreting his remark.
If you read the article, perhaps a more balanced post or a more accurate, complete picture would have included the deleted tweet and the clarification. Since you chose to exclude those important, relevant details from your post, this thread seems very much like a gotcha post, despite your claim to the contrary. Again not an equal representation despite your attempts to portray it that way. Because that’s what she does. If it doesn’t fit her narrative and propaganda, she leaves it out, ignores context, refuses to consider anything outside her narrow minded echo chamber or she’ll move goal posts.
