Hello!
Does anyone have/use the Elle’s Studio alphabet die sets? I’ve never used dies before, but I have and use the heck out of the Jane alpha stamps. I’ve resisted the dies but I’m thinking about biting the bullet.
My questions about them are:
Do they come apart? They look like one big piece, and I don’t see how that would fit into most of the manual die machines…
What manual die machine works well with them? Another big reason I’ve held off on them is the small detail of me not owning a way to use them. 😆 any recommendations on a small-ish in price and size die cutter?
Thanks so much for your time!

One mmore idea, make your own stencil. Cut down a cereal box, draw lines where you want them and cut with a ruler and craft knife. I have several for just that purpose. I also use the stencil to score my lines from the back side for an embossed line(s). Don, flipping GREAT idea, thank you so much for sharing this!!! I’d love to see some examples of both stencils you’ve made as well as what you’ve used them for!

If you are open to drawing/tracing, you may try searching for planner line stencils. I've seen some inexpensive ones on Amazon. OMG LIGHTBULB!!! 💡💖 Stencils!!! Freaking GENIUS!!! Thank you so much for this idea!

I have these stamps from 100 years ago. The brand I believe is Autumn Leaves Stampology collection (which I think was a division of American Crafts). They're about 6" long too. You might be able to find them on eBay or Mercari. Sweeeet Hallelujah, THIS! THESE!!! Oh, they’re so beautiful….🤤 Thanks so much, ladies, y’all gave me some great options!

Hello hello!
I’ve been searching for a simple stamp…I just want journaling lines. No numbers, or comments, or space to add another stamp….just lines. I’ve come across some that are part of a set, but they’re smaller than what I’m looking for.
My dream set ( are you listening, American Crafts?💖) Would be a 6 x 8 sheet with the following: a stamp with 3 lines, about 6” long, one with about 4lines to fit on a 3x4 card, both horizontally and vertically, and maybe something to fit on a 4x6 journaling card that would have maybe 6 lines. That way, if I don’t have a ton to write, I can just stamp it once. If I have more to write, I can stamp to either fill in the journaling card if I’m using one, or just however many times I need on the page. Come to think of it….I wonder how difficult it would be and how expensive to just have it made….?
Any ideas on either finding stamps that fit the bill, or, advice/info on just getting it made?

Hello!
I’m visiting a friend 3 hours from home, or I’d just check my own albums myself.😝
I’m starting to plan out how I want to tackle a yuuuuge project- a once in a lifetime trip to Europe. I’ve come up with a couple different ways to organize/tackle it, and I’m curious as to about how many pages usually fit in a 12x12 album. I favor the strap binding as well as 3 ring binder type. It’s making me crazy that I can’t just walk into the family room and look, lol!
I tend to scrap with several paper layers, stickers, and I guess the only dimensional stuff I use are thickers and enamel dots…so fairly flat and compact pages.
Roughly how many pages do you comfortably store in strap and 3 ring albums?

Hello!
My dear friend just became a Grandmother this week, and I want to give her a gift to commemorate this. When I had my first grandchild a couple of years ago, she gave me a custom T-shirt with my "Grandma name." I don't think she would appreciate a t-shirt, and I don't want to repeat what she gave me anyway. What can yall come up with for me?? I'm at a loss!

Hello hello!
In my quest to find and gather all the classes I've taken into one central spot, I remembered one that I can't put a name to. She was a former Garden Girl, she had blonde hair and spoke with a soothing, beautiful accent. Her style was really watercolor-y and floral and feminine, lots of mixed media stuff. I remember she had 2 or 3 daughters that were the subject of many of her pages. Does this ring a bell? She was so kind and I loved her to pieces, I just can't for the life of me remember her name!

Hey guys!
I'm trying to gather up into on place all the scrapbook/lettering/journaling classes I've taken, and I need help. I know there's a couple I'm missing and it's driving me nuts!
I need all the sites yall can think of that offer multiple classes, both free and with a fee. The one that's on the tip of my tongue isn't related to an individual person, (Shimelle, Amy Tan, etc.) it's a site that has many contributors. Not Big Picture or Scrapbook Generation, but along those lines. IIRC, they also had several prompts, tips, and ideas accessible for free.
Any help you can share would be most appreciated!

Oh my gosh, I feel so "well traveled!" I was actually here almost exactly one year ago....I live in Texas, and was able to go with my husband on a business trip. We were in London for 4 short days, and this was a top site I wanted to visit. I didn't get to walk the grounds, as I only had time to see it before the gates opened. With some uh, creative acrobatics for a 50 year old, I was still able to capture some beautiful images. It is truly hauntingly beautiful, and so serene. If I'm ever able to visit London again, I will definitely make this a priority, to have more time here. I want to say "I loved" but that's so cheesy, and I can't think of another way to say it....it humbled me, to see the scars of history, and it changed me.
America is such a baby, as far as history is concerned.....the oldest american building I've entered was on the east coast and it was a church, a couple of hundred years old. I thought that was incredible! There was a marble monument in the vestibule, with the names of church members lost during the civil war carved into it. Then, a dozen years later, I walk the halls of a church built CENTURIES earlier (Westminster Abbey)....read the tombstones of people like me, they lived, and laughed, and raised families, that lived their entire life 500 years before America was a thought.
Sorry for the ramble....it's just literally been one year (late Aug-early Sept) since this trip of a lifetime for me, and I've been reliving so much of it...."one year ago today, we were at Winston Churchill's war rooms...This time last year, I was walking on ancient stone roads and touching the stone walls surrounding part of Barcelona, that ROMANS chiseled and built...."

dude, it makes me C R A Z Y!!! If you want it gray, make it gray, but leave the white alone! I hate the grungy look of their "whitish' against actual white, or any other clean color. Such a bummer.

Not trying to beat a dead horse...I love pink, and I use it a lot. But geeeeezzzz with so many colllections using it as a main color!!! I was just watching a sb video and the background paper she chose had pink stars among other colors. It made me wish the pink stars were orange, since that was one of the main colors in the photo she's using. (Not a lick of pink in the photo, though😜).
So if you could choose the color that replaced all the pink, what would it be? Mine would obviously be orange, lol! Or a sunny golden yellow. Those colors look great with blue skies, green trees, grass, plants, and gorgeous with beach/lake/water/pool pictures. (Tangent- another color pet peeve of mine is how much blue is in the majority of summer collections. I want the papers to contrast with my summery photos so they pop off the page, not blend in! ) For the record, I also love the crap out of most shades of blue, just find it difficult to work with a lot of my pictures. Except for a nice navy...not black navy, but....
Yup. I'm rambling. I'm in a house with two mostly grown sons and a husband....I need some female crafty talk! 😆

dude, I am SO sorry...for your sweet daughter, and for you. As a Mom, its our nature to want to "fix it" what ever "it" is. The ones we want to fix the most, are often the ones we can't touch, like break ups. and in the middle of all this #($*& that she can't even escape or have much distraction. And with the length of time they dated, Im sure you were attached at least somewhat as well. That really shook me and took me by suprise, how much the break up hurt me as a person, besides being the bystander. We lose a family member as well!
No advice, just hugs and empathy. Hang in there.

Thank you to each contributor, for the laughs and blast from the past! I love this board so damn much. We still got it! PS, I wish we had more than just the thumbs up, like on facebook. I can do many things but add a photo isn't one of them🙄
I forgot to mention that I did turn it off and back on, and l will try to explain what is happening. The paper looks like the silhouette was bumped during cutting...the files are cutting way off from where they are on my computer screen, it's overlapped and skipped and some lines aren't cut at all.

Hello, Peas! I've been working on decorations for my grandson's first birthday party this weekend. Using my Silhouette for a over an hour with no problems. Then it lost it's everliving mind! I was trying to cut a design I had pieced together, along with some tiny banners. I have a picture of what was sent to cut, and what actually happened. I ruined 3 pieces of paper, trying to re-cut and check my settings, guides, everything. And this happened 3 times in a row before I called it quits. Aaaand looking at THIS page, I have no idea how to attach the photos! 😖 I'm going to post this msg and hope I can figure out how to edit to add photos.

Hey guys! I've had and used the crap out of my cameo...I've had it since Christmas 2011! The past several projects I've used it for, it's given me fits. BORING DETAILS AHEAD, SKIP IF YOU WANT: I wasted SO MUCH stupid HTV trying to make a couple of tshirts for my daughter, and that stuff isn't as cheap as scrapbook paper! And while a couple of problems were user error, ( I was rusty at cutting the HTV) there were so many times it would skip around the design and not cut the entire design, or the vinyl would slip in the rollers and end up crooked (I almost took it apart, thinking debris or something hidden was caught somewhere and was knocking it off course). Last night it took me 4 tries to get a usable cut design out of plain cardstock! New blade, new mat, double check settings, the whole thing. SO FRUSTRATING. it looked like the design had been stretched out and was being cut wonky, and the whole design wouldn't get cut. UGHHHH. SHORT VERSION: I'm wondering if its time to replace my 9 year old Cameo 3.....it isn't dead yet but been having weird problems and wasting lots of materials and patience. An awesome looking pre-black friday deal was recently posted here and with all the weird problems I've been having, made me start wondering if it's time....or am I just subconsciously wanting the new one?

I was thinking about her a while back! If it's the same woman, it seems like she committed to making 100 layouts before buying anything....and she'd share the layousts as she made them. I thought it was a wonderful idea. If you're itching to get something new, scrap faster, lol!
