Why does it feel like they're already realizing the stupidity in haphazardly deleting the message boards? I suspect they'll make a comeback with a stern warning that any criticism will not be tolerated and that the next time they have to address that problem, the boards will be deleted and never return as a threat to keep people in line. Oh no, that won't happen. Queen April would never even hint that a mistake was made. They'll forge ahead with all these dumb ass ideas. It was less than a year after getting rid of the card kit that they came out with the stamp sub FOR CARD MAKING that cost as much as the entire card kit had cost. Studio calico makes no mistakes. They meant to do things this way. THIS.

Does Gluestickgirl still work there, do we know? It seems to me that she was the only one who posted on the MB and I am pretty sure she was responsible for blog stuff, I am wondering if she left and that is why they want other people to come up with blog content. Why don't they make their DT come up with a blog post a month? Good grief, that should be part of the deal for getting their kits. Has anyone contacted them with ideas? I think we should come up with a bunch of snarky ideas and submit them! She still runs the content for different classes, don't know about the blog.

What IS the TN size? And are they all books with attached pages? I switched to 3 ring scrapbook albums b/c I like my pages to be in order but I don't scrap that way, and I am afraid of "messing up" a page that faces or backs a page I like. Even art journals, I am more likely to take out the page before I work on it. And I can mess up a cover pretty quickly with inky fingerprints. The standard TN (standard midori) is 4.33 inches by 8.25 inches. Passport TN (passport midori) is 4.1 inches by 5.8 inches. Pocket TN is 3.5 inches by 5.5 inches. Then there is the A6 and lots of other sizes! My favorite is the standard because there is enough room for a photo & some journaling. I make my own TNs and shameless plug: I have an Etsy store that I will not list here because I don't want to break any rules. I make pet health tracker TNs, running tracker TNs, etc. I've loved TNs for years, less intimidating for me than a 12x12 page. I still do a monthly PL and DD BTW- will not give those up!

Totally agree with you anniefb! Thanks christinebk. I actually have a couple of handbook albums so not seriously considering it but it just seems like a dumb idea to sell albums it's difficult to get the protectors for.

Thanks sleepingbooty . Ugh that's hopeless if there's no way of getting more page protectors. I have several packs of the old SC 4 ring page protectors- different kinds. I can part with a few. I am fine with $8 per set (I think half of the original cost) plus shipping (will be first class, but I have to weigh it) I have 3 complete sets (of the packages listed below) of the following: all are new in package sets of 6 1 single pocket 6x8 1 4 pocket 3x4 1 3 pocket (2 3x4 and 1 4x6) 1 special sizes 5 pocket and 6 pocket (shown below)

Was just coming over here to post this. Would have been nice to get a heads up- I would have gathered some info; people have often posted helpful tutorials on the board. Sigh, typical SC.

This will be my 8th DD album and still my favorite project of the year. I posted a photo of my albums on my IG and it makes me so happy. I started out doing 8.5x11 albums and then went down to 6x8 when those came out. It helps that I do PL so I normally think of my photos as 3x4 or 4x6, with the occasional 6x8. Sometimes I'll feel spunky and do the 2x2s. I'm a creature of habit though and it I have to really think about it and plan for those though. We'll see if having my girls do 4x4 albums will help my mindset or not... I prefer to keep up with my DD on a weekly basis, although daily would be preferable, I just hate printing at home. My PL takes a hit during December, but I don't mind. Thanks for posting this mom . DD is my definitely my favorite project of the year too. Have you ever had trouble completing it?

I finally finished my incomplete DD albums last year (I have been doing DD since 2012), so this year I am actually all caught up. Here are just my tips: 1) Don't sweat it if you have a day(s) missing and can't remember what happened on that particular day. Years from now, it won't matter if things are not in chronological order, only the fact that certain memories happened are important, rather than when they exactly happened. I have had this issue myself, and just simply put some filler cards on that day and put a special Christmas card that we received during that Christmas season in my 6x8 page. 2) It doesn't have to be 100% perfect, I have often felt that my pages were not perfect, but I don't know how to make them perfect- I go with "good enough" and call it a day. 3) This year, no kit spoke to me, so I just made my own album: I picked a beloved 12x12 collection, cut it down to size and have embellishments that go with it. Done. 4) Print out digital Christmas PL cards. I have some from Geralyn Sy, so I printed a bunch out 5) Planning doesn't really work for me, I just try to document at the end of each day or do a couple days worth at a time. So, if planning is not your thing, just wing it. (I only have a few days in December where I actually know what I will be journaling about or doing- We always celebrate Nikolaus Tag on Dec 5/6, etc) If I think of anything else, nothing is coming to mind right now, I'll edit Hope this helps!

Yes, i fold the bag over and seal with a glue stick. i fold in a direction that has the short edge of the opening showing so i cover that with washi tape. Helps me use some of the ridiculous amounts of washi i have also. Stick on my address label and return address label and mail. I need to you tube this stuff for y'all! Yes, please make a video!

This is the first year that I will participate. I'm a little intimidated by the sheer number of cards, but I think that if I buy some and make some, it will be ok. I love Christmas and it will make it even more cheerful to receive some more mail! BTW, internationals, I will definitely send to you- most of my family is in Europe, so I already have tons of those special stamps!

Oddly enough, I placed an order on the 3rd and it still hasn't been shipped I caved and bought the Tim Holtz set because I truly love it- last year I talked myself out of it. Sorry you had such a lousy day moraie, hopefully you had a couple of nice days in between!

Hi everyone! I dropped my SC subs yesterday; honestly the message sent from SC regarding their "resolution" for the warehouse debacle pushed me over the edge. Can anyone tell me the name of the FB group that has all the screenshots?

just checked mine and they do not match. Honestly it really does not bother me, I can still use them as not that different and still nice papers. The thing that does annoy me though is that they should have just been up front and said, he guys we had a print problem so we going to put all the wrong papers in with the kit for you as an extra. rather than make us feel we getting something extra, when in fact all we were getting is a defect. Agree with you. They should have been upfront about it, but instead they used it as a marketing too to get a lot of people to purchase. That is some disappointing behaviour.
