I've never heard of swimwear like that, but my DD(16) refuses to try tampons, so she just doesn't swim if if comes to that.

I am by no means an expert, but have you tried a harness with the ring on the back? Maybe it would be better if it didn't touch his face. Could you bring him to a pet store and try different options for harnesses and leashes to see if he has the same reaction to all of them?

I would probably respond with, "thank you Captain Obvious." It really depends on who says it and how they say it.
Me, too.

It depends on the price. It might not be worth my time to return a cheap item, but I usually spend (what I consider) a lot on pants, and I'd take those back. I actually had a pair come apart at the seam recently, but my mom was visiting at the time, so I asked her to stitch it back up real quick.

I count in my head, and I often don't notice it until I am in the 60's.
I have also caught myself holding my breath several times lately. Not intentionally - I realize I'm holding it or taking shallow breaths while paying close attention to something.

It seems safer to me to have one than to risk food down the drain without one. I might put a strainer in the sink and FORBID the kids from moving it.

I did something similar the year we went to Disney during Christmas week. Our tree arrived about the same time we did!

I would want to find some way to talk to the parent who doesn't know based on my own experience. ExH has asked DD to keep two big secrets from me (moving in with someone then marrying someone), under the guise of wanting to tell me himself. She had anxiety attacks around that time, and I didn't have the information to help her! I told her if that ever happens again, to tell him no! Or at least give him a deadline of when she will tell me. Secrets are for presents, surprise parties, and trivial matters. They aren't for life events impacting a child.

I appreciate that my doctor's office has a NP who is left free for immediate appointments. I do see the doctor twice a year though. I haven't had a need for urgent care since our providers can get us in quickly, but I would imagine those are more heavily staffed with NPs.

My dogs are chipped, though they are hard to catch (one thinks someone trying to catch him is a fun game and the other is scared of everyone except us). Around here, there are events a few times a year that offer $25 chips, or you can get it done when the dog is being fixed.
I know nothing about dew claws!

I browse through their current and ending soon offers every day or two. I usually don't buy unless I find something unique or that is a good deal, and if I need the item quickly, I check Amazon (I also check Amazon for anything that isn't too unique since Zulily charges for shipping). As a hint though - if you are buying more than one thing in a day, the shipping is usually cheapest if you buy a single item then buy the other items since you'll get free shipping for subsequent items.

I haven't run across no cashiers yet, but it is getting closer and closer to that. A lot of stores will only have one or two other lanes open. I really don't like self-checkouts...somethings always goes wrong and it ends up being a pain.

A lot of houses in my neighborhood don't participate, and no one thinks a thing of it. Either they have kids who they've taken out trick or treating, or they aren't home from work yet, or they just don't want to participate.

I think the lease is a good option in certain circumstances. The way leases are done now, it is really a loan with a balloon payment at the end. When you reach the end, you can pay the balloon payment and purchase the car, or turn it back in, paying for excess mileage and any damage. I think they work well when: 1) You don't drive a ton, 2) You buy a new car ever 2-4 years normally or you want to move to that model and 3) You have the money saved up to give you options at the end of the lease.
I leased once when I knew I needed that particular car for about 3 years. I traded it in towards a purchased car at the end of the lease. Had I turned it in, I would have paid several thousand dollars in mileage since I am not a light driver. It worked for me at that time, but I wouldn't go that route under normal circumstances.

Someone may have covered this already, but the Survivors have to send photos of all the clothing they are going to bring, and then production goes through and picks what they wear. Sometimes, you’ll notice the starting tribes are color coded, even in wardrobe choices. They have even been known to give them clothes to wear when they aren’t happy with the choices. I am pretty sure I heard that Cochran wasn’t a sweater vest wearing person before the show. On a podcast I listened to this week, someone said they also often allow pants OR sleeves and not both.

Growing up, my dad stayed dressed until bed time, but he would walk around in his boxers and a white t-shirt after bed time.
I change into comfy pants/t-shirt or PJs the second I get into the house.

I got a good old-fashioned belly laugh out of the last scene. That was one of my favorite scenes in a long time.
I remember after the last evacuation, the players said it was basically a concrete bunker with a blanket or two and very minimal food. They weren't allowed to talk, though we know from hearing about the pre-season that they can communicate non-verbally, even before they actually know each other.
On the eggs - why on earth didn't they just pass them out and each do what they wanted to do with their share of the eggs? There was no reason it had to be all or none.

Where did it play? I haven't watched it (clearly) but have followed the story at least half-heartedly since the beginning since it is relatively local.

I'm obsessed with olives (any kind) and pickles. I love oysters, crawfish, stinky cheese, and sushi. I enjoy black licorice, the strong flavored jelly beans (black, white, some reds) and very sour candy. Oh and cabbage and rye bread. I have eaten and enjoyed rattlesnake, turtle (in turtle soup), and alligator.
I'm sure there is more! There are lots of foods I am strongly opposed to eating or even smelling but just as many that I eat that others don't like.

The hardest part is getting started! I think I need the accountability of paying money and having someone weigh me, so I'm seeing a doctor. He has a meal plan that is perfectly manageable (so manageable that I have done almost the same thing by myself in the past), and he is monitoring other weight-loss influences like my thyroid and hormones. Once I started losing weight, I found it easier to keep going, especially when the clothing sizes started decreasing.

Congratulations! Our state competition is in 2 weeks. I have enjoyed riding the buses, pushing the props, chaperoning the football games, and cheering the kids on, but, boy, am I ready for a break! And I'm not even the one practicing every day! We have a new director this year who is GREAT, and he really pushes the kids to their limits. Does your son do indoor percussion as well? Our football season is going to go so long this year (great season - every weekend in November for playoffs wouldn't surprise me at all) that I suspect marching and indoor seasons will overlap! Michigan? Because ours is also in two weeks at Ford Field. We're in flight 2 and scheduled to be there first group (actual performance time not set yet).
No - Mississippi. Good luck though!!

If you have Harry Potter fans, I would hit Universal because it has two Harry Potter areas (in different parks) and Hogwarts Express runs between them. The Hogsmeade part is similar to Hollywood, but Diagon Alley is completely different. You do need park-to-park tickets to ride the Hogwarts Express, but I always get them at Universal anyway because the two parks are close together, as opposed to Disney World. Universal is always my top choice these days - it has become the focus of our trips with Disney being the afterthought.
If you can swing a little time at Disney, one of my favorite things about Disneyland was being some where so familiar, even though I had never been there. I would visit Magic Kingdom as priority, and second would be Animal Kingdom because it is so different than either of the Anaheim parks. Hollywood Studios would be a skip right now because of the construction, plus it is California Adventure-like without as much stuff.

I have. It is definitely an exception and usually after a movie that gets lots of strong audience reaction throughout.
I've seen a couple of recorded Broadway shows in the theater, and people definitely clapped for those.

No, light keeps me up. I can turn on a light across the room (rather than blinding myself with the one right beside the bed) without having to stumble around in the dark by asking Alexa to do it.
If I have company, I leave the light over the sink in the kitchen on so that they have a little light to move around, and if I go to bed before DD, I turn on the light outside her room and give her strict instructions to open my door right before she'll be turning if off (the cats wake me up if they can't get in and out at 2:00 a.m.).

I would definitely check in with both my own dentist the one you were referred to for the surgery to be sure it is necessary.
It occurs to me that the orthodontist may not be allowed to call under HIPAA, unless your DD has specifically granted him permission in writing. Which, IMO, is ridiculous, but no one asked my opinion. If I have to pay, I want input! lol
For the record, I had to drive Ali to her orthodontist appointments, so I always went back and sat with her. I was by far the exception - many kids drove themselves, others walked from the school across the street (not our school), and many parents stayed in the waiting room.

My work is actually offering Hamilton tickets! I've asked a couple of people and the response was no group sales for this show of ANY kind from the theatre company bringing it to town. I'm shocked we're going to be offering them. Guess who is going to be logged in at 7:30 Tuesday morning. If I can get them my kid is going to be over the moon. What really sucks is the theatre where it will play has horrid acoustics so we're going to pay a lot of money to see them but not hear jack. Take your shot!
I bet work donates to the theater or some other organization that is given a certain number of seats. Good luck getting seats, and I hope they are really good ones! It is a great show.

I am going to pick a spot in her living room and put all of my possessions there. Like the chest by the door or the love seat - somewhere super convenient.
Then, I'll go pee on her toilet seat and say, "I didn't know I did that." (Someone is currently "restricted" from using my bathroom.)
I'm already stealing her clothes. I've lost some weight, and she likes to buy her clothes large, while I think loosely-fitted (if that makes any sense) looks better on me. Instead of buying everything new, I've been raiding her closet on occasion. When she complains, I just look down at my shoes on her feet.
I'm also going to take all of my best things (pants, hair brushes, whatever is needed for school tomorrow) over to someone else's house, leave them there, then borrow hers since I can't find mine.

Whenever I can fit them in, taking advantage of lunchtime to stretch my legs and Kroger Clicklist to avoid the nightmarish parking lot. I do as much online as I can.
This has been an insanely busy fall season for us between after school band practices, games every Friday night (3-6 left to go), and competitions most Saturdays. And I have chaperoned those games and competitions, so I can’t do anything during that time. This will likely bleed directly into indoor percussion season, if they don’t overlap. As much as I love the whirlwind of activity, I’m tired and my house is a mess.
