One of them got me last night! Even though the dogs weren't interested in the door at all, which should have been a giant clue for me, I got up and looked for the door ringer.

That’s wonderful that you two support each other in parenting. It certainly makes things easier. I don’t think it’s going to happen but would love to be wrong.
It has to be intentional, and it takes both parents on board. And it takes work. There are times I would love to be a smart ass and do something vengeful, but I don't because Ali is the one who would really be hurt.

This would not be typical for us. The second she contacted the parent she wasn't staying with, we would be in touch with each other (I hope!). And it would be made perfectly clear to DD that this was not an acceptable course of action.
I pay for the her phone, and if DD's dad took it away, I would support him, BUT I would make sure I still had a way to contact her and vice-versa; either he would let her use his phone (hahaha) or he would cut off wifi and ask me to cut off data in order to leave her a phone to use for calls. I would expect the phone back when she came home, even if it was handed directly to me, and we would have to come to an agreement about when she could have it back.

My DD's birthday is near Halloween, so we've done many Halloween treats for kids over the years. Go see what kind of things the Dollar Tree has - you could find a great Halloween themed goblet or you could let them each choose a costume accessory - boas, pirate sets, cat ears, etc. I always liked one better toy, even if it was cheap, over a bunch of junk.

I wear makeup most days, but some Saturdays when I am just out running errands, it feels good to slather on a bunch of moisturizer and let my face reset for a day. My normal makeup isn't heavy - it is really probably all gone by the evening, but I don't worry about reapplying unless i'm going somewhere special.

Ooooo, sorry, but my kitty just settled in for a long Saturday nap!
Or, more precisely, I’m on a school bus with 1/5 of the high school marching band dreaming of a warm cat nap.

Are there women at his level? Is he the executive sponsor (most company organizations have one executive that has ultimate decision making and escalation responsibility for each project or group)?
What is his percentage of women applying for those positions? I could be accused of not hiring males, but 99% of my applicants are female. I can't explain why - that is including external applicants who would not know the position was reporting to a female.

I would say that my house is too far out or not set up well for hosting. Which is true. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to blame it on DH - that he is more of a loner and doesn't enjoy group activities (which sounds like it might be true). I wouldn't say anything about him not relating to their spouses.

We did some tour company and some on our own during our last trip to Europe. I liked the tour aspect, because they arrange everything and move at a pace fast enough to see all the touristy highlights. Plus, you have an expert along to ask questions and who can add to the topic at hand. I also liked the part on our own because we are able to get off the beaten track and see things we wouldn't have seen on the tour.
In Edinburgh, I took a picture of a tour bus because I was so impressed with everything I saw. It was CIE Tours International. They seemed to be taking great care of their travelers, the ages were diverse, and everyone looked happy. Oh - and they were in the same hotel we were, which was really nice, as opposed to our student tour housing (which was perfect for students, but not quite as nice as the adults would have liked!).

The only time I have considered that one would be really handy was when a friend's son was in a car accident. He called, told them he was in an accident, and was disconnected. It would have been really nice to listen for the location in that instance.

Hormones, thyroid, vitamin D - all of mine are out of whack at 45! Losing weight has always been hard for me, but around 40, I found that I could no longer lose by counting calories - it is all about the carbs, which makes sense with blood sugar issues. I am seeing a hormone and weight loss specialist now. I cannot tell you the difference a little testosterone made in my energy level! Good luck figuring out what works for you!

I mostly use Audible. I don't go through audio books really fast though, so I subscribe to Audible for a few months then pause/cancel until i am ready for more.

I don't think I have ever had a boss who I couldn't have responded back with, "I tried that way, but I like XYZ better about the way I took today." or "I know what you mean. I like to change it up so I don't get bored."
As a manager, I am convinced that some people are looking for me to say negative things, so they read everything I say with a negative light. You may really have an overly critical boss, but since you mentioned self-esteem, I would consider whether you might be finding criticism in a good-natured comment.

Yes, but we use it so rarely that it isn't even plugged in. DD never has to print for school - everything is turned in digitally.

I don't think that was abnormal. I know kids now who are punished for getting bad grades. For my DD, I do expect high grades, because I know she is capable. She wouldn't get in trouble for a C, if she had been working hard though. If she was blowing off the class, we'd have a nice long talk and probably involve a tutor.

My ex completely disengaged like that, too. For about the last year of our marriage. DD and I were walking on egg shells when he was home. It was awful, frankly. I cannot tell you how much better things got for both of us when he moved out. The tension in the house left with him.
Let the decision be about you and your husband - the kids will be OK. Think about what you want to teach them about their own lives - if one of your kids found themselves in the same situation you are in, what would you want them to do?
Oh - and if he has continued to grope you when you have specifically asked him not too, his stated fear may be because he suspects he might be guilty.

If it were me, I'd rent booth space at a flea market or gun show to see if they would sell. My dad collects old cameras, and we run across them at places where individuals sell things. I also remember a booth at a flea market in London - it was fun to look at the cameras, and my friend even bought a couple.

I would work within my management structure. You are probably talking to a recruiter in HR rather than a payroll specialist, and you need someone who can work with the payroll specialist.

My DD has no desire to even try tampons. It would be easier at times. When she was your DD’s age, she liked a pad that came in a really bright, multicolored box (lots of purple, I think). She now prefers the same Always that I use.

I am doing low-ish carb. Under 120 net carbs per day, though I am almost always under 75. I’ve lost 40 pounds in about 4 months, and I’m very happy with that.
I do eat a lot of protein, but sometimes it is a Quest bar or a protein drink to supplement regular food. I don’t go overboard on the meat. I remember the first time my ex did low carb - he ate so much meat that he smelled like meat. Yuck!

I hated the end. What a horrible way to go out.
The editing was a little different tonight, which I was glad to see. Kudos to CBS for not spoiling the medivac (at least not for this episode - I did hear there was a preview where you could see the stretcher coming from the boat, but there was no indication that it was this week).

Are you talking with anyone at the schools? I would want to look pulled together for a Tulane visit, so I get it. What about rainboots that go over your shoes? Or wear your water shoes and slip into flats before you go inside. In NO, I'm most worried about comfort. It rained a lot last weekend in NO, and I was pretty comfortable in a pair of slip on Sketchers like these. BUT, I was just forced to step in a big puddle in them today, and now I'm a little miserable. lol I have another pair of Sketchers similar to these or these but in black that I wish I was wearing. I like the stability of the Sketchers in weather like today!

I don't know that there is a limit. I have my Kindle, iPad, iPhone, DD's iPhone, DD's Kindle, and DD's iPad Mini. When I look at my device list on Amazon, it says I am on my 15th i device, and I have probably never cleaned one off.
The only problem with sharing is that any books purchased are charged to the default card on file.
