From what I have seen, it will mean more in my pocket. I'd rather not have it given what we, as a country, are paying for this tax cut.

I hesitated to mention this in my last post since you may not have this option but decided it's worth a shot. For the last couple of years, I have donated excess scrapping/stamping supplies to the local Humane Society. They hold a rummage sale quarterly and raise in excess of $100,000 a year. They are very happy to get my lightly used/never used stuff.
Do you have any local churches or other groups that hold rummage sales that would accept your donation?

Another vote for checking out your local schools. I've given a lot of kid-friendly items (markers, ink pads, punches, stamps, etc.) and tons of card stock to the local elementary school.

New Distress Oxide colors 6x8 paper pads layering dies This card maker would love 6x8 pads. I can get 2 4x5-1/4 layering pieces out of a 6x8 piece of paper but only 1 (with a lot of waste) out of the 6x6 size.

I’m gonna miss seeing Lisa Spangler’s cards. She sounds a bit goofy but has sold me on sooo many stamp sets. Looking at it, I think SC has now totally walked away from card making. That would be the second time they've walked!

I am really disappointed in this month's theme. Although I haven't seen it in person, the colors look so drab. At a time of the year when all my pictures are drab and dark, I need bright colors! And, if I remember correctly, February is traditionally love and Simon themed. Not a fan of that either. In the past month, I dropped all my planner subscriptions because I don't use my Dori as a planner and lots of the stickers and embellishments were going to waste. I may be dropping more, depending on the March theme. Since posting this, I have received my kits. The colors are much brighter than I anticipated and the travel theme, while there, can definitely be worked around. I'm ok with this. There have also been peeks for the February kit and I'm already liking the colors. If I can make the travel theme work, I'm sure I can do the same for the love theme.

First off, I need to thank you all...your cards are totally brightening each and every day. I love them all, handmade and store bought I also want to give a HUGE shout out to @gemini_jen. She sent me a Hanukkah card which warmed every bit of my heart and is super thoughtful. Thank you! In my years participating in the swap, this is the first Hanukkah card I've received. I'd love to send Hanukkah cards to our Jewish peas. I wonder if we might be able to give the option to identify ourselves next year in case others want to make/send Hanukkah cards to the Jewish card swappers? Food for thought anyway.... Happy holidays everyone! I'd love to be able to send our Jewish peas a Hanukkah card. I don't have any appropriate stamp sets but this would give me the perfect reason to buy one (or two) I've really liked.

I ordered two 4-ft dog leashes that came in a box that was, you guessed it, 5 feet tall. When I saw the box, I got an absolute panic feeling of "were you sleep shopping and what did you buy?"

I'm running behind! I had to get the cards for the local nursing home done first and those were delivered on Monday. My first batch of pea exchange cards went postal today and I plan another mail run on Friday. There are 18 cards ready to be assembled on my craft table and I'll need to crank out at least 2 more designs after that. My cards are coming, peas!

I'm kind of new around here, but this thread caught my eye. I *love* this format, but I use May Books with the grid pages instead of a traditional traveler's notebook. It's basically the same size. But I don't do planning in it. It's more of a journal, a place to collect quotes I love, lists of all kinds...and a place to use all that washi tape that I've been collecting. LOL I haven't found anyone on YouTube who does it like a journal and misc list keeper like me, so would love to find some. Meg I just took a look at May Books and they look really interesting. I like that they are stitched. Can you tell me a little about the paper they use? Color? Any bleed through? Can you use watercolors on it?

Once a month, the Goodwill truck comes to the Village Hall for 4 hours to take donations. My goal this year has been to take something there every month. I didn't get 100% this year, but I probably hit it at least 75% of the time. This week I cleaned out more clothes and the linen closet and was able to take a big bag and box today.

For the Michigan list: www.scrappychiclivonia.com/Once a year, when we drive to MI to spend the day at Great Lake Mega Meet, we always leave time for a quick trip to Scrappy Chic. On the website there's video of the former store that had a classroom for 60. The new store has close to the same size retail space but a much smaller classroom space.

I've given up all other scrapbooking formats for travelers' notebooks. Like you, I don't use them for planning. Currently I'm using a Cocoa Daisy Dori standard size book for daily memory keeping (one page a day) and Yellow Paper House grid insert for the others. I'm pretty bad at finishing a monthly book but I plan to do better in 2018. I also want to start a separate notebook for reading in 2018. And a separate one for 2018 goals (with categories for health/wellness, financial, home improvement, etc.) Oh, I also have a notebook for gardening - recording what worked, what didn't and what I want to try for the next year.

I've tried OLW 3 times and never made it past March. For those of you who made it through the whole year, what kept you motivated? What was the take-away at year end? Do you go back and look at your albums and feel inspired, accomplished, something else?
I read these threads and think I should give it a go in 2018 but I don't need another failed attempt.

I have to say I'm glad I cancelled my subscription. Over the past few months, I found more misses than hits and this one would definitely fall into the miss category. Not that it's not a nice kit - it's just something I wouldn't use and I'm trying to limit what I add to my collection.

so are these leftovers from when the US companies made them? Or are they rip offs? Or? SaveSaveMFT stamps and dies are made in the USA. I believe what Ali Express is selling is a blatant rip off. I understand the cost difference. And you know, for simple shapes, like circle dies and tags, there's not a lot of unique design work involved. If Ali Express sells these at a low cost and they work reasonably well, I don't have an issue with it. But when a US company designs a specific set like the bears above and someone copies it image for image and sentiment for sentiment, I have a big problem with it. I want US stamp companies to be around for a long time and they won't continue to invest in innovative products, quality lines, design teams, etc. if their designs are stolen and sold for pennies on the dollar.

It's been a whole day since I bought anything online. By all means, let's see what else there is to buy on Monday! I've had time to watch some online videos. I'm hooked on Nichol Spohr right now. Of course, there is an exclusive stamp and die set that I must have from SSS, After forgetting a die that went with one of the stamps I ordered, I placed 2 orders over the weekend. What's one more? If they have some new deals, anyway. My SSS wish list seems endless. Waiting for those Cyber Monday emails to roll in... Please don't leave this stamper hanging? Which exclusive stamp and die set?
