I stumbled upon this one the other day - it's not appealing to me, but might be to others. www.designsbyplannerperfect.com/The box is pricey but includes a TN insert with original artwork and a couple of pre-designed pages, a bunch of extra artwork to stick in around the same theme, and bonus goodies (the video I watched had a mug and a couple of washi tapes). The artwork is very different from the scrapbook stuff from mainstream companies. If someone loves painting but can't do it, this might appeal. Maybe not so much if you have your own artistic style already, like you do, Patter. I've seen a lot of other kits and subscriptions pass by on planner/TN instagram accounts I follow. I'll see if I can find links for some more. There's some gorgeous stuff out there but I can't afford to get hooked into a subscription so I usually look the other way! You might try searching etsy - I think there are some subscription boxes for sale there from smaller businesses. Wow, beautiful but so expensive for what you get. And yes, I kind of have my own style. I want to use these more for memory keeping not planners so the kits with lots of dated stuff I won't use. Keep the ideas coming everyone regardless if it's planner or memory keeping TNs. Some can certainly be used either way. I have some of her blank TNs and they are fabulous. They are a bit pricey ($30 for 3) but they are hand stitched, 80 pages and made from 24 lb Strathmore paper.

joblackford, all of my inserts are either dot or grid for the same reason - to keep my handwriting straight. Thanks for the idea - I need to start one to track the books I read. Another Jacki Q fan here!

I love traveler's notebooks! I subscribe to Cocoa Daisy and use the standard size Dori for my daily journal/memory keeping (one page a day). The remainder of my notebooks come from Yellow Paper House or Midori. In addition to the daily journaling/memory keeping, I have a notebook for gardening (photos, what worked/didn't work, plans for next year, plants I want to try, landscaping ideas, etc), a notebook for my card donations (with photos of the cards I send) and a notebook for month-at-a-glance (calendar on 2 pages for appointments, etc.). I'm getting ready to start one for home remodeling projects (to collect ideas while I'm saving money to begin said projects). I like what tsabhira said about TNs rescuing scrapbooking for her. I feel the same way. Love using bits of patterned paper, a photo or two, stickers or die cuts, stamps and a good amount of journaling.

It is a great cause! I've participated for about 5 years now and plan to send about 150 cards. In addition, a friend and I have adopted our local nursing home and provide them with Christmas cards for their residents.
Thanks for sharing this reminder.

I've had some old powders that wouldn't melt. I think I've had the most problems with white detail embossing powder.

Are you familiar with Wink of Stella brush glitter pens? One of my Christmas cards has an embossed snowflake on the front and I used a clear marker to add glitter to it. It's quite sparkly. I've also used this pen to add sparkle to snowdrifts, snowmen, etc. I typically use the clear or silver pens although I admit to having several other colors.

I'll be making Christmas card kits to take to my crafty weekend in November. I'd really like to take 25 kits with me (each makes 12 cards). Current total - almost 3. Long, long way to go!

Tombow adhesive refills. I found a place that has a good price and when you buy $100+ gives you an extra 5% off. Free shipping, of course. So before I start Christmas card production, I load up.

I would also recommend purchasing the Sandy Allnock hex chart download. I use my hand colored version all the time for making color selections and the pre-colored one for figuring out where I need to add colors in my collection. Find it here: sandyallnock.com/product/hex-chart/

As far as I know, they don't. I think the manufacturer keeps pretty tight control over the pricing and the amount of discounting allowed. Dick Blick and oozak.com both sell the Sketch markers for $5.24 each all the time. That's 35% off list and I believe it's the deepest they are allowed to go.
They are an investment, for sure. It took me over 3 years to amass my collection and they are one of my favorite and most used crafty supplies.

What crop(s) have you attended recently? I go to two 3 day crafty weekends a year. One in April and one in November (less than 5 weeks away!!!) We also have a monthly crafty day. After a bad experience at a sponsored crop, we decided to organize them ourselves and have been doing so for a couple of years. We usually have 10 to 12 attendees - 75% card makers, 25% scrappers.
What did you take? I make card kits to assemble while I'm there. I hope to complete 200+ cards in November. Besides my kits and regular tools, I'm sure I'll bring some extra stamps and dies. But I know I can borrow whatever I'm missing. With this group of ladies, a request for an item becomes a competitive event. Ask for a circle die and you are met with "Regular?", "Scalloped?", "Stitched?", "Pierced?" "Pinked Edge?" and then a mad scramble to be the first to find it. Things go flying!!!
What did you leave at home that you WISH you had taken? I can't think of anything. I'm usually well prepared plus see answer above.
What did you accomplish? I think I made over 180 cards last November and over 150 in April.
How did you store your finished projects for transport home? I bring a few empty Iris cases to store the finished cards.
What did you learn? (New techniques or designs? Or... about yourself? about the crop experience?) We have a very good/bad habit of enabling each other. I cannot tell you how many online orders are placed during the weekend because I plead the fifth.
What was the BEST part of the crop experience? Being with crafty friends who get this hobby. The food, drink, music, not getting enough sleep just add to the overall fun. Oh, and the planning that goes into what we are bringing creates so much excitement. And those texts and calls started about 3 weeks ago!
Who did you share the experience with? See above. I'm so happy to have these ladies in my life. They are the best!

I have lost 62 lbs following a ketogenic diet but I am quite strict. For example someone mentioned their low cal soup with carrots. That to me is not a keto soup. Carrots are higher on the glycemic index as most root veggies are, and Keto is high fat and generally higher calorie then most realize. I do what some might consider lazy keto. I do not eat foods that are non keto though. No wheat, no fruit but a couple of berries etc. Lazy keto is essentially counting your 20 grams of carbs (net, or up to 50 total) and not worrying about counting fat/protein. Non lazy keto is figuring out your macros which are pretty standard set at 75% of your diet is fat, 20% protein and 5% carbs. There are excellent resources for fine tuning those to your height and weight. I have been a moderator for a ketogenic FB page for a long time but maintaining my anonymity on this board is important to me. www.dietdoctor.com is a great resource. There is also cooking keto with Kristie if you plan to follow a clean eating style of keto. I am not completely clean though. I think it would be fun to have a discussion here but I will confess up front I am not very flexible and believe you have to be all in for this way of eating to work. I love http://www.dietdoctor.com. There are some great recipes there.

I'm not sure I conquered my DC addiction yet because I still miss it! I went cold turkey May 15. I also gave up all artificial sweeteners that day. The one thing I have noticed is that I no longer have out-of-control cravings for all things sweet.

I am a type 2 diabetic who would like to lose a total of 75 lbs. My doctor would probably say I need to lose more but I'd be over-the-moon happy at 75. It's very difficult for me to lose weight consistently. I started IF on May 15. At the same time I eliminated all artificial sweeteners and said goodbye to my beloved Diet Coke. As a vegetarian, I strive for a low/good carb diet. I also increased my daily activity.
I lost just over 25 lbs in about 3 months and then virtually nothing since then. I guess the good news is I have not started gaining. So I increased my activity, walking in excess of 55 miles a week. I vary my fasting hours between 16 and 20 hours a day and haven't cheated once since I started in May. I haven't tried a 24 hour fast but I might give it a try this time. I also think it might be time to get back to the gym for some weight lifting.
I had a check up at the end of September and my doc was extremely pleased with my results. My A1C took a pretty big drop. My doc who gave me the side eye when I mentioned IF about 2 years ago, said he thought IF was very good for diabetics.
I'd like to get back to losing again. Hopefully, this support group will give me the needed push.

Will definitely need to get my hands on Cowboy Country! Wonder what's with the Viking images on the Sweetheart line? “I’ve taken quite a Viking to you.”

I ordered the book and it has been delayed, but is expected to arrive tomorrow. Is anyone interested in a "challenge" or "support group" and possibly a new thread devoted to this? I would like to get started, but I feel a little overwhelmed. I've lost just over 25 lbs. on this way of eating since May 15. I'm still eating only in my window of 4 to 8 hours but my weight loss has slowed to nothing over the past 2 months. I need to recommit to low carb eating and would welcome the support.

Does anybody know where I could get something like the transparencies Ali has in her shop? I’m new to the DD game and they’d sold out by the time I saw them. I really like having a layered effect with different sized pages and transparent elements in my pocket albums, and transparencies would be perfect but I just...can’t find any to buy. Different places all seem to have different names for that sort of thing so possibly I haven’t found the right terminology? I’m not planning on adding anything to my Christmas stash this year except possibly some appropriately coloured sequins (oh and I got an album), so it’d be nice to have an excuse to get something new to use! Any help greatly appreciated If an 8x8 size would work for you, check out Pretty Little Studio. They have hundreds of transparencies and many of them are cute Christmas ones! www.plspapershop.com/category-s/2301.htm

I've pitched several rolls, too. Some shredded right on the roll - it was impossible to pull off any usable pieces. Others had no "stick" left once you unrolled them. I don't remember which brands they were. unfortunately.

I'd use it as a background stamped in versamark or a light ink color. And then I'd add a Santa image (maybe in the middle of a cluster of other Christmas images like evergreen boughs) - all die cut or fussy cut. And then a banner with a sentiment.
