Happy Belated Birthday! I'm sorry you were hurt by your bff. Now might be the best time to talk to her about things...mention to her that you missed your traditional birthday necklace & go from there. Transition is hard & maybe she just isn't sure where she fits into your new chapter? I hope you can work it out. HUGS!

DD's Orthodontist!! She had a 3-month adjustment (and was supposed to get new brackets two days after everything closed!), It's now been almost 5 months & I am SURE that is messing up her "treatment". Ok... also eye doc & dentists for cleanings. BASEBALL!!! I miss watching baseball!! We were going to go to St. Louis last weekend for a game. And SO had planned a little getaway for that whole weekend that also included a road trip to Scrapbook Generation in Springfield, MO.

I have a few opinion questions... First a bit of back story...my 13 y/o daughter was diagnosed with Juvenile Dermatomyositis 5 years ago. About a year into her treatment she was selected for Make A Wish. Her wish was a trip to NYC. It was a wonderful trip and we took lots of pics and made tons of memories. I am going to make albums for all of us. So there will be one for her, one for her big sister(she got to pick one person to go with her besides parents and she picked her sister), and one for us. Three albums, basically all the same, probably a little different Journaling in ours lol.
Here is where the questions come in... should I just print the pics and make three layouts at a time and basically finish all three at the same time? Should I just do them one at a time? Should I print all the pics out first (3 copies of each) or just print as I work? Heeeelp!?

I have the Epson photo printer. I am getting ready to print a boatload of pics to make a scrapbook for my DD from our Make A Wish trip.
Do I need to lay them out to "dry" or can I stack them up(or put them with page kits) right away? This is my first time making pages of the pics I print. Lol

So, I used to be a Bazzill snob, but now that I can't get it from a LSS anymore, where is the best place(online) to get either Bazzill OR a good quality cardstock?
Specifically looking for cream or off-white.

After his screw up saying that HE has ultimate authority and power to re-open the states (when it is actually the state's responsibility) & that "when you are the President" you can do anything... he needed SOME way to SHOW his "authority" and being a bully (and taking away funding & starting an "investigation") is how he does that... What will really be interesting is when his "investigation" shows that WHO did just what they were supposed to be doing, and did exactly the right things. THEN he will start calling them "fake" and saying that the ones who did the investigation (even if it people HE hired to do it) are hiding something because they have their own agenda.
He is such an a$$hat!!!

When one reporter asks a question and Asshole doesn’t answer it or swerves the subject around to him and people hating him and wanting to see him fail, why doesn’t the next reporter stand up and repeat the question? Just keep asking it until you get an answer? Why don’t the reporters work together to get the answers. also, I really hate when he accuses reporters and points to them about this fake news bullshit. I wish someone would call him on it to his face. and finally, I wish a reporter would stand up and say “Mr. President, why is Easter so special to you?” He said it’s a ‘special day’ to him and I think its bullshit and he’s looking for a brilliant PR stunt of having all of America gather at churches on Easter Sunday and he will be forevermore remembered as the President that united America on Easter. Nailed it! Yep!! Nailed it!!

Unreal! That’s quite the level of denial they all must have had. This is why shelter in place orders are necessary. Too many people can’t be trusted to make rational decisions about themselves. “This doesn’t apply to ME”... The bad part of that is that they are "essential" employees so shelter in place doesn't really apply to them so they'd have done it anyway!

So, I work at a very large cemetery. Our office is closed due to Covid-19. Our Administrator, myself, a p/t receptionist, and a P/t data entry person(we are changing over our website so she is just doing the data entry for that) are the only ones in the office(we are "essential" but not being forced to be here, just choosing to right now). There are still burials happening(with VERY specific rules!), and we are still answering the phone, and speaking to the occasional walk up visitor through our glass doors. We had a lady come up this morning and she was actually ANGRY that the office is closed. Our Administrator is home ill(he is NOT having symptoms of CV19 but she didn't know that!), and she was calling him all sorts of lazy for not being here! Ummm... maybe a little compassion?
Maybe it's just getting to me because of all that is going on in the world...I don't know. I have a child who is immuno-compromised so I'm torn between wanting to hole up in my home and needing to be at work (I can NOT afford to not get a paycheck and I do feel safe being here, if I didn't that would be a different story).
I see all of these feel good stories about people helping one another, and people doing what they can to help keep our small businesses and food service places open, and just being good neighbors... it makes me sort of sad that this is a "special" thing happening because we are going through a serious crisis in our world right now, and once this is all over, and things are back to "normal" those special things will likely not happen anymore...
Sorry... just rambling. Thanks for letting me!

Meh... not all that creepy. I'm the same way, straight to FB to see if I can find people. One thing that does stand out though... if he is going to use his FB for business (even partially), he should at least be dressed in his profile pic.

Now that I'm thinking more, I wouldnt think twice. We always thawed meat growing up by putting it on the counter overnight then fridge in the morning until dinner time. I didnt have any idea how big a heathen I was until I found the peas. 😆 SAME!! LOL I still put it out before I go to bed sometimes... depends on how big the package is.

And, I would file the civil suit... it will at least set a precedent and maybe keep other families in the future from going through what you are. I'm still scratching my head about it all... there is NO way we would EVER allow all of that to happen here no matter how much money he had... but since his friend has the "authority" as the sexton of the cemetery to do it, I guess that makes it all ok. BUT... the cemeteries that they were moved from should NOT have allowed it. There is a TON of red tape involved, and no matter who you are or where you are moving ANY full body remains HAVE to have a court order to be dis-interred. Cremains (ash remains) don't have the same rule because they are not technically "human remains" once they are cremated.

In our Cemetery (I work in the office of the biggest one in southeast Iowa), the graves can be sold back to the cemetery, or to other people, etc. They are treated just like any other empty plot.
He must have more money than he knows what to do with because court costs, dis-interment fees, re-interment fees, etc for that many people would be pretty steep!!
I'm so sorry you are going through this. Hugs!

I love the relationship she has with the neighbor! They have a "fun" friendship. I'm on the fence about her marriage/Toby. On one hand, she needs to get away from his manipulative poor little me attitude, but on the other hand, it sort of spotlights that "fat" girls, and ones that have had a rotten relationship in the past (Mark)can't be happy...

We have VOIP - Not sure what that stands for completely...but its voice over internet phones...or something...we have ear pieces or headphones for that...so if a call comes in it pauses the music and the phone call begins ringing in my ear. They are very nice, expensive and SMALL. Also wireless. No calls are missed. I have a tinted "window" basically like a dentist office type window but you cant see in until I slide open the window. The visitors have to ring a bell. With this information, I would say it isn't fair that you can't listen to music. Especially if your phones are answered using an ear piece and the music comes through the same piece. That doesn't even make sense!? How would a customer even know it's not just your phone ear piece? I mean, if you had on some big ol' Beats(brand) headset, I could understand...

I took about a 5-6 year hiatus! Life just got in the way and it was easier and easier for me to just not do it.
I am back at it though!! I've done about 30 layouts in the last 6ish months. I finally have my scrappy area set up and even though it's not my "dream" space, it works for me for now! I'm back to doing it mostly every weekend.
I missed the "me" time. I also missed the sense of accomplishment that it gave me. Now if I could just get caught up... lol
