Like many have said, the frequency of purchases varies. And the $$ involved. I just cancelled my Spellbinders' kits, and that was the only given.

Dear Pinkfresh, Please don't stop making flair. No one else makes chipboard flair and I would miss it. Love, Bree the Flea While I rarely use dimensional embellishments, this unique product seems popular. Hoping the company will continue to offer it in the future. :fingers crossed:

... until new product comes out ... Most brands reveal & ship new collections monthly (or bi-monthly/every two months)!

Please share which choice most closely describes how frequently you purchase (not just peruse) papercrafting supplies in an average year. TIA.

ONE, since I'm always struggling to get the d*#^$ thing to connect, print, etc....UGH! I exclusively scrapbook & get photos professionally printed so only use the home printer for journaling.

Indicative of my linear style (& inability to achieve a straight line without assistance), it's a tie between my clear t-square ruler & (Fiskars ProCision Rotary) paper trimmer. :nerd:

As a spinoff of the announcement on 3/4 ( here) that Pinkfresh will not release scrapbook collections for 12-18 months while reassessing the industry & its products, what changes would you recommend (e.g. existing products to keep, new products you'd like to see added, aesthetic adjustments, etc.)? TIA.

Sadly, (yellow) gold is the primary metallic in the industry with few silver embellishments (despite its current popularity in fashion) & little to no other metals.

My (lack of) spending over the last few years is primarily due to frustratation with the stereotypical feminine & floral domination of the industry (& the few exceptions often having an odd yellow-dominant color palette that is equally unusable for me). Then, it takes at least 6 months to accumulate enough products (that I actually like, want, & are still in stock) to justify shipping or qualify for free shipping...UGH!

I know someone told how to tag someone, but I can't remember how to. ... The foolproof method is to open the Create Post window, click on the "Insert User Link" icon (@person image), type or copy/paste their username into the "Enter a username" bar, then click on the user in the drop-down menu to insert their @name in your post. HTH.

I exclusively scrapbook & use VersaFine Clair, a quick-drying, archival, pigment ink that yields saturated color, crisp words, detailed images, & is still embossable minutes later! For tone-on-tone stamping & embossing, I use VersaMark, a clear, archival, pigment ink that also captures fine detail. HTH.

This is giving me flashbacks to when ... I used to go to my local scrapbook stores and pick out all of the colors. Good times. ... Ditto. There are no LSSs left here, & I miss the in-person supply shopping experience - perusing entire walls bursting with a rainbow of Bazzill cardstock, aisles filled with multiple racks of patterned papers, pegs full of embellishments & tools, etc. <sigh>

... Is anyone else doing a double-take at the $4.99 price tag for a small package of enamel dots? Yikes. Unfortunately, $4.99 appears the current industry MSRP for 60 count enamel dot packs (e.g. EP - Happy As Can Be, CB - At Home, SS - Crafty Things).

... Bea's collection is a doppelgänger for Maggie Holmes. ... Agree ... On a side note, I'm SO happy AC is bringing their big sticker books back. Note the $6.99 stickers books in this release appear the same as previous releases, not the former huge sticker books with 30 sheets/800-1500 stickers & an elastic closure (like that one & pictured at the bottom of this PE blog entry).

... Does anyone else do this? Get an itch to buy something, but there's nothing currently in stores that is a favourite or must have. Even so, you find yourself adding stuff you don't really love to your cart because you've got that urge to shop? This collection will help me wait. ... Unfortunately, I can relate to the lack of must-haves from recent releases.

I’m not a fan of using florals, but agree that flowers can be a standard shape/pattern. The trend part to me is the over-saturation - they are everywhere and on anything, including icons that I really don’t want flowers on. ... It’s really gotten ridiculous and makes so many icons and embellishments unusable for me. Exactly!

... Also, I just can't justify $6.99 for Thickers. I love them, but I'll continue using my own dies and Cricut. Same. I stopped buying Thickers years ago (although it may not be obvious, given the couple wire locker baskets filled with them in my craft room) due to lack of stickiness, an inadequate amount of my frequently-used vowels & consonants, not always labeled as acid-free/lignin-free/archival, & price per pack (especially considering the above).

... Shimelle - Reasons To Smile - ... I really appreciate that the baking stuff isn't retro. I'm over retro cooking papers. ... Agree. Now if only they will update school-themed collections... ... Bo Bunny - Charmed Chronicles - This is fun and a bit different - the black and gold isn't a common color scheme in scrapbook products. ... Check out annual New Year's & graduation collections, for which black/gold/white or cream is the industry-standard color palette (e.g. Reminisce - New Year Celebration, Photoplay - The Graduate, Simple Stories - Graduation).

* ETA2: Matt at ACOT - As a follow up to this thread, it appears direct links to ACOT that include a + are still unreliable; I had to replace the + with a %2B in the URL, as previously suggested, to avoid an error message. Yeah, sorry - last time we looked into it and determined that the issue was with the way that ProBoards "affiliate-izes" links automatically. The service that does that doesn't handle plus signs like the rest of the internet does and so it causes issues. If you paste this directly in your browser it should work fine: https://www.acherryontop.com/shop/company/vicki_boutin/line/bold_+_bright I think we'll just have to start using "and" for these lines instead going forward. Thanks for your response. Another option is to use "plus" for future collections with a "+," not to confuse "and" for collections with an "&" in their names.

I just posted about the Groovy Darlin' by Jen Hadfield collection, I will try to delete it. I will post what I said here They have some of the decades mixed up, most of this looks like the 70's but we weren't saying "groovy" in the 70's also cassette tapes were the 80's. It is more orangey brown than I normally use but being a child of the 70's some of this appeals to me and it would be fun to get a few pieces. I edited the OP to add your subsequent thread. The collection seems retro, a mix of 1960s-1980s sentiments & icons, with that unmistakable orangey-brown hue.

The search function on this site sucks! I had to scroll through seven pages to find this thread. That's an understatement! Frustratingly, I often have to do the same. I ordered the Running collection and received it a few weeks ago and didn't realize until I opened the packaged, that it was not actual Photoplay paper but their co-company Colorplay and the papers are shiny/glossy. Thanks for the information; I dislike glossy papers. Unlike Echo Park & Carta Bella, Photoplay & Colorplay logos are the same in font, style, subtly, & not easily distinguishable at a glance. Also, the collection logo does not indicate which brand it is on the company website (as linked in OP) or at online retailers, which list Runner's High as a Photoplay, not Colorplay, brand (e.g. ACOT, SB.com). UGH!
