We're allowed to do our weekly meal for the football team with lots of new rules--the biggest one is that we can't do a normal buffet style, even if we are doing the serving. We have to have everything packaged individually. I'm happy to buy the individual fruit cups, but one mom thinks that's too expensive so she's buying a large can and filling individual cups...ok, whatever, but my leftovers will last until the next meal, but not yours. We have to do bottled water instead of water coolers with cups.
We're doing one of the boys' favorite meals--walking tacos--this week. Not a good idea in my mind. We have to have everything individually packaged...sour cream, jalapenos, salsa, tomatoes, etc. I'm not even sure how we're going to do the walking tacos themselves because the same mom is insisting we still buy the big bags of tortillas and use boats. Then there's the meat and the cheeses sauce. I get she's trying to be frugal, but she's going to burn herself out (at least she's the one offering to package everything...)
Other meals we've done include sub sandwiches, pasta night, pizza, grilled burgers/dogs, soups, etc.

Stamps usually ship free, so I’d rather skip the $5 shipping. I think they’re my main must have. AE stamps usually don't ship free like SC stamps. They usually sell out though and then are offered on a preorder deal--but I can't remember if the preorder includes shipping if it's offered outside of the box period.

I like a lot of the main kit, but since I bought the grey album HSN collection kit last month for less than the price of an album I will skip the main kit this year. There are a few things that should go with the color scheme of the set I already have so I'll try to pick up some of those. Unfortunately some of what I want are what I'm expecting to go fast and my excitement that release is happening on my day off is slowly eroding since I now have to take DS to a doctor's appointment and the to both of his schools to pick up books/supplies before classes start next week...not sure where I'll be at release time.
I like the star kit, but not the bag. I like some of the card sets and would consider just getting the digitals, but naturally some of my favorites have the foil. I really like the idea of the green felt album, but I don't care for the shade of green and I'm much more comfortable with a regular album (not to mention I already have one...).

I got the marching band stamp because I haven't done last year's band pictures yet. I most likely won't have any of my son in band this year because he also plays football and at the first game he didn't do anything with the band. I'm not 100% sure he'll continue with marching band in his junior & senior year, but just in case I figured I'd get the stamp set because there's not a lot of band stamps out there (and I can go back to college pictures and use the flag stamps for me!)

I am perfectly happy with a fabric curtain for our tub/shower. I've never been a fan of doors on a tub/shower, but if I had just a shower that might be a differrent story. I do not like plastic curtains though, just fabric.

I voted for mostly food items & then nothing because I'd be fine with nothing. Even though I wouldn't mind food items, I'd just suggest that it actually fit the theme & decor...not just be there to be there. Anything highly personalized is either not going home with us or isn't being kept too long.

I've had the same background on my laptop since we saw the Despicable Me 2 movie (its a scene from the movie). I've even gotten a new laptop since then and I kept it because none of my photos worked because of the wide screen. Otherwise I usually keep the default background on devices or pick one and keep it.

The only thing I'm re-watching on Hulu right now is Desperate Housewives and I assume that it's available on regular Hulu? Yes, that's available on regular Hulu (just finished watching an episode). I have ad-free Hulu and DH has Hulu Live (long story...) but I use mine for rewatching old shows and watching new shows from ABC/NBC/Fox. The new shows are available the next day which is fine for me, I just have to be careful of certain headlines when something big happens for a popular show. The rest of the family watches a lot on Hulu Live, but I only switch to it when I want to watch a Cubs game.

My store still has them...I think. I don't pay much attention to them because they thankfully put them down in the order I've always walked the aisles. I do ignore one because its in the aisle with the eggs & I only need eggs in the aisle and the next aisle is where the non-food aisles start that i never go down. I'm also thankful that they didn't put them down in the produce section because I would have ignored those too since I usually don't need to go by each section.
I know a lot of people have ignored them and I don't really care because they are hard to see on the floor because they don't stand out.

DH & I continued to work away from home. I did cut back my hours, but that was so I could help my youngest with his online learning (survived online learning should be an option...). Once he was done with that my free time was spent at older son's baseball games. Not much has changed other than a few more free evenings, but that wasn't enough time to do much on the list.

Definitely people first. I think if I had seen the whole picture without having to scroll I might have seen animals first, but the people are so very obvious to me that I don't really see the animals at all! I had to squint and stare to see what animal shape the rabbit turned out to be.

Everyone:I would love to see more silver instead of gold in DD! (And in most other kits too)
AE: let's do Bronze!

Even though I've been working this whole time (and even had a few days where I was by myself at work) I was still all too happy to encourage DH to take the boys out fishing and golfing this summer, just so I could be alone in the house. But honestly, it was more to get our youngest out of the house although being alone was a nice benefit!

Ugh...just got my SBTM kit and the bag is almost an inch narrower than normal--the chipboard was bent at the bottom and I had to bend it more to even get it out of the bag. I had even had the thought "these bags are getting smaller every month" as I was taking the cards and everything else out, then I noticed the chipboard. The pieces aren't bent, just the backing, but I certainly can't keep the kit in the bag. Started a conversation already...

I'm definitely restocking sooner than normal, but not necessarily overstocking. The one thing I do stock up on when I can find it is Method hand soap--especially the refills. I had 4 foam refills in my online cart at Target, but by the time I checked out a few minutes later I was down to only 1. I was sure it was going to get cancelled, but it showed up!
I've grabbed wipes as I've seen them (which is almost never) because I knew they'd be needed for school.

My brain doesn't work with preplanning an album that uses pocket pages. I usually work on my album during the weekend and do the previous week. I have to know what's going to work for both sides of a PP before I can commit to doing the front side--especially with DD when I know I'm going to be pressed for space.

Yes & no. School work can be as struggle for my 12yo so I'm definitely not ready for that to start up again. At least they are starting in person like normal because it would be worse if it was more online learning. This is also the first summer I've worked as much as I have, with little control on my schedule so part of me feels head that we didn't do a lot this summer (here in IA there is quite a bit open) but that also means he got to do exactly what he wanted to do--nothing but Xbox & play on his tablet.
As for my 15yo, it feels like a normal year & like I should have my normal emotions because he played baseball this summer & has been going to football practices...But his district is in a pissing match with the state about their return to learn plan and all we know is the start date got pushed back to 9/8...and that's it. No idea if it will be online, hybrid or fully in person. So with the uncertainty of that and the threat of no activities if they do go 100%online (against the majority of parents' wishes) my emotions are all over the place.

Some of it might depend on the other kid, how much experience he has in the city (maybe how his parents feel about it too). This might be a good opportunity to let him drive since its a Sunday, but with you in the car.
I had my son driving on the interstate & freeway in town as soon as possible because I have heard of so many kids (and adults) that are scared to...and its not like we're in a huge city like the Twin Cities.

Initially we had the option of a hybrid plan or 100% online. We had no problem picking the hybrid, but it really wasn't a choice because 5 of his 7 classes for the semester are at a central school that would be 100% online regardless (they pull in kids from 12-17 schools a day into one location and decided on online only to prevent a possible outbreak spreading from school to school via this central school). By choosing hybrid he would get to do band. But even if he wasn't scheduled for so many online classes already we would still let him do the hybrid plan. But then the governor said schools need to do at least 50% in person without a waiver, and our hybrid plan didn't qualify. So the pissing match started and our superintendent said "ok, then we'll just do 100% online"...they state then says the days won't count...district says we're still going online...state says anyone doing 100% can't do activities...district says we get to decide and we're doing activities...state says waiver denied...district says fine, we'll sue... As someone said, the two sides are having a pissing match and the students are the ones getting peed on... Most of the parents want a hybrid option. As of right now, we know school starts 9/8, but we have no idea what it will be. Those of us with high school athletes want the chance for kids to play fall sports (after a very successful baseball and softball season this summer) so we want both sides to stop dicking around and figure something out. We are ok with our kids playing sports and doing band, we've all signed the waiver and everyone is doing everything possible to keep everyone safe at practices.

We buy used and drive for as long as possible. DH tends to have bad luck with cars so he's had a couple more than me since we got married.
How we buy depends on why we are buying. With my van, I watched cars.com and waited until I found the exact Odyssey that I wanted--ended up taking 5 years, but in that time we saved up a lot for it. Six weeks after I got the van DH was in an accident with my old car and it was totaled. We bought a cheap old car hoping it would get us through the lifespan of the van's loan, but it died before we paid the van off. So then we had to look quick and take what we could find, but he had somewhat of an idea of what he wanted. When we bought DS's car this summer it was pure torture because he had no idea what he wanted because he had only driven 3 cars in his life (my van, DH's CRV, and a sedan at drivers ed). So one day I finally took him out to look at some cars that DH & I liked. Since he is 15 he technically couldn't test drive any of them, but he was right there in the front seat with me. I don't know why, but it surprised me that he wanted a sedan more than a small SUV, so we ended up with an Altima.
I'm to the point where I'd like to replace my van (it's almost 12 years old) but I don't know what I'll want. I won't need a van any more, but I think I like being tall like in my van versus short like in DS's Altima...it's like laying on the road!

I have a membership for DS15 that I should cancel, but at only $10/mo it's hard to do so because you can't get that rate any more.
I "work" at the gym in the drop in day care, but haven't worked since they shut down in March (gym reopened in May and kids club opened in late June). I was down to one day every week or two, just to keep my membership, but I wasn't working out like I want/should because I work 4 days at my other job. If the gym hadn't been sold to a large chain last year I could probably still workout even though I'm not working, but the new company is a little more strict about things. I haven't officially quit yet, but I need to because as of now I don't plan to go back (my boss/friend quit and working with random kids is a little too scary for me these days & I'm pretty easy going with the virus). If I could get a $10 membership like DS has I would go in today to quit and sign up for that, but I don't think they offer any memberships under $30 these days and I know I won't use it that much.

So I asked if they had fixed the ring issue on the 6x8 albums. Ali replies that they hoped so.... The WITL albums had that issue right? That was only 3 months ago. I thought production of DD took much longer? Sorry to be a hater so early on...just can't imagine SC doing the right thing so quickly. I really want to love AE, especially DD, but sometimes it's hard to part with my $$ with these constant issues. Yes, the yellow and white stripe album. Mine sat unopened until I worked on my album, then it was open flat on my desk...the first time I picked it up with pages in it the top part popped off. Now the bottom part has come off too...need to get it glued...after I get it finished!!!

That font took me too long to figure out what I thought was a phrase In the middle was. I couldn’t figure out what “Merry Vhervy nervy” was supposed to mean. I saw all "Merry"s at first, but now I can't unsee "Merry Cherry Nervy Merry"! I'm glad I've sworn off AE albums until we know that the ring problem has been fixed, because yuck...that is an ugly color...

The only time I can sit with both feet on the floor is at my desk at work--the chair is too tall for me to sit with a leg up under the other and still fit under the desk. Surprisingly it doesn't bother me there. Even when driving I have a hard time leaving my left foot on the floor, usually I prop it up on the side somehow (even just an inch up feels better). Here at my scrappy desk I often sit with one leg under the other, but I also sit criss-cross applesauce too. I hate going to movies or having to sit anywhere without some sort of foot rest.

I like the kind with a wire on my shoulder because I can walk around with one out if my circumstances require it and not lose the other one. Or ones that have the thing that rests on your shoulders and have wires up to the buds? I have these, but not the Active ones (mine are without the extra little ear piece). I've had them for a couple of years and really like them. As for sound quality I can't really say because these days I mostly use them for listening to a TV show from Netflix or Hulu as I'm making dinner. The battery life has been great--I can not use them for weeks or months and they still work. I like the idea of small buds, but since these work so well I can't justify switching.

They do serve a purpose, but I think some cities put them in strange places because they are the "new" thing (at least in the midwest...). It also depends on the size as there are some around here that are so small that I pretty much have to come to a complete stop to make the turn, I'm not sure how snowplows and fire trucks get thru them. I don't mind them for minor intersections, but I don't want them at major intersections.
They can be fun, but not when you have a fan full of flower arrangements and have to go thru 4 within a couple of miles!

This was a theme I was looking forwards to, but then I got really scared when I saw the add-on pictures...brown hearts? But I really like it (at least what I can see of the cards). I really like the color scheme because of the white--had it been all cream I'm not sure I would have liked it.

No because if DH wants something I don't like/want to make, he can make it himself for the family. That wouldn't include much, but meatloaf is one thing I can think of off the top of my head. However, I do all of the shopping so he would have to make a special trip for some things.
