I believe the only thing that will bring systemic change is the fear of lawsuits like this, while money will not bring back a murdered man, it might prevent more from the same fate.

We had an unpleasant discussion tonight here at home. DS 40, and DIL 37 both believe vaccines are just ways the public has been duped into keeping the pharmacy companies rich, and that Covid mainly kills people that would have died soon anyway. They never get flu vaccines, and follow some doctor who thinks vitamin D, and gargle in iodine will keep you from dying if you get Covid 19.
I despair. And will be hunting down an appointment as soon as permitted.

WE have hundreds of bottles of my son’s own Oregon Pinot Noir. He’s also bottled up Riesling and Merlot.
In addition he’s got about 100 bottles he’s picked up from vineyards like Eyrie, ( our favorite), Maryhill, Evesham, and more affordable, Chateau Ste Michelle.
I used to be all about the big reds, but living here has converted me to the Pinots
If you’re in SoCal, the Temecula area is gorgeous, and has tons of vineyards for a fun day wine tasting. My favorite is Doffo, but that’s because they are sort of relatives

Well, here in the good ol’ real world, a lot of people are in a position where they don’t like their job and want to quit, but if they quit their employer would stop paying their health insurance and salary and things like that. H&M were no more stuck than any other person. Do the job, get the benefits, quit the job, lose the benefits. That’s how shit works. Most people don’t quit their job and then whine that their former employer is no longer paying for their life. Princess Madeline of Sweden stopped being a Senior Royal after she married. She even moved to New York then Florida. She's a King's daughter with 3 kids that hold Prince and Princess titles, just no HRH. Her family moved to New York, were her husband worked and she started at chair of a children's charity that her Mom started. They had no security, none. They then moved to Florida, still with no security, and both hold jobs, his as a banker and her as head of a charity. I've only seen them do publicity when they or just she goes back to Sweden for events. From what I've seen on Instagram and read, they live a very quiet life. Jennifer Do you really see that as a safe option for H and M? As for the comparison to those of us who work at our own jobs, my employers have never told me what I could do on my days off, or required that I accept being hated, threatened, isolated, and much more. I don’t care what palace they live in, clothes they wear, jewels, ect, even before this interview I’ve never felt that would be any kind of way to live. Something I read recently called the RF puppets living in fear of the press.

I agree, the body language interpretation was interesting. but they quit right after Harry started speaking. I don't think it's unusual that Harry would be tense in a situation like this-- and that Meghan would be more comfortable in an interview situation with Oprah. I would imagine that Harry wouldn't be as comfortable speaking about family situations, considering that the royal life is business as well as family, and that he grew up having to 'protect the image' of the family, so to speak. After being indoctrinated your whole life that you must make the RF look good at all costs, speaking openly about it had to have been hard. I compare it to being the child of alcoholics who insist the children deny the problem. I was about Harry’s age the first time I spoke aloud that my mother was an alcoholic. I instantly felt a deep seated sense of being a betrayal. Even though it took my mother’s death for me to face her alcoholism and what it did to me. So I did not have to fear her reaction. I cant imagine the stress Harry was feeling.

I truly hope they’re getting as much action as you fear. As a celibate lady in her 60’s, I’d like to think there’s hope.

Several have said that if they’d have remained as “ working royals”, the security for Harry and Archie would have been paid for.
Ok. So they were stuck? Remain in that situation where courtiers are telling them where they can go, and what they can say, and oh by the way no you can’t get treatment for your suicidal feelings because that won’t look good, and no you can’t have lunch with your friends because you’re already too much in the news. And can you please dial yourself back about 50%?
and so they try the soft leave, we still serve her majesty, but need to step back a bit and are told it’s all or nothing , kids.
So the choice was stay in that toxic environment, or go it alone even though Harry and Archie have targets on their backs just because of who they were born to? The reality is they must be protected by expensive security. But what I’m hearing is they would only get that security if they toed that very narrow and appalling line. No wonder Harry described it as trapped.
I’m really glad there was enough resources to get them this far, and I hope for continued success to pay for the ongoing cost of their security as they make their lives from here.
I remember the media latching on to the debates about their security costs when they still lived in Canada.
It’s not like they can find a ranch in the suburbs and settle down. Lemonade sales on the sidewalk, and putting your recycling at the curb. But they shouldn’t be stuck in the impossible situation they had been in, either.
The curtsy story I thought was just funny. Harry didn’t realize Meghan would be meeting his grandmother at that point, and so asked if she knew how. No where did I get the idea Meghan looked down on the custom. It was just something she didn’t anticipate. No need to point fingers, it wasn’t that big a deal.
The only reason the bridesmaid dresses story was relevant, was the extent with which the leaking of stories was twisted to create a narrative of good Catherine bad Meghan and the helplessness Meghan felt being caught up in it.

This makes me think of my stepmother. She is “so concerned” about my Sister in law’s health. Right. It’s all about her weight, it comes out in her comments, and has completely poisoned the relationship with not only her DIL, but her own son. It is so easy to see that it’s really about looks, because, really, we can’t really see another’s mental or even physical health, can we? But we can see their weight.
This has been a wake up call to me, as I have a son in law in his 40’s whose dad died at 50 of complications of morbid obesity. I adore this man, and can’t bear the thought not only of losing him, but my dd being a young widow, and my DGS losing their dad. Over a year ago, my son in law asked DD to support him as he did low carb dieting. DD has, and has lost weight and looks and feels terrific, even though she was happy at the size she started at. She makes and packs all the meals for her husband, doing everything she can to support him.
But SIL will drive though fast food on the way home, which I know from my own experiences , sabotages the low carb goals. After 14 months, he is the same.
I’m sad and frustrated that my daughter has done as he asked and yet it hasn’t improved her beloved husband’s health. I’m truly worried about him. This has been my mind set. It doesn’t help that I’m not a fan of the high fat low carb diet, but I do feel if that is going to be your eating plan you should stick to it.
And no, I have never, ever, ever, said anything to either of them about their health, size, or diet. That is their business, and what I know is because my DD has shared it with me.
All this to say that it has still been a wake up call to try to get my worry and concern out of my head and just love my SIL for who he is and let him make his own decisions.

I can’t stand Oprah, but I feel Meghan has been butchered in the press to create drama that sells clicks, and they have every right to tell their story if they want to. Just because you don’t want to participate in the lying tabloid circus doesn’t mean you must be a hermit.
I just wish it weren’t Oprah.

I read a book about this decades ago soon after it happened. Like a PP, I can’t help wonder just what unsavory things are known about JS, that the church was so quick to buy this stuff up to hide it?
BTW, anybody notice how many ways JS and Koresh were similar? Answer: A lot.

I have very high hopes. The Mayo process is famous for a reason. Er are not just a liver or a heart or a brain, we are a complex machine, and the different specialists cooperate to come up with answers.

My DS took a loan so he did not have to lay off any employees. I thought that was what the loans were for? DS is not hurting financially, but he would have laid off his crew at least some of this last year if not for the loans.
I’d like to know if all the people who are criticizing businesses they really know nothing about have sent the money from the stimulus payments back to the government. Unless, of course they lost their job, and did not receive unemployment plus extra money.

I've always thought Pat Sajak looked down on the contestants or at the very least was just going through the motions as a host. I agree. Decades ago it really showed. He was practically barking at and snapping at contestants. I thought perhaps he felt trapped and as if his career was not what he dreamed of, but he was stuck. Then he improved, got friendly and nicer. My theory was he got medication. I haven’t watched in 8 years, though. So if he’s gone back to being mean, I haven’t been watching to see it.
