I also struggle with both sides of this issue.
It is horrifying to see something like New Town, Colorado and Orlando and know that we are not immune. And yes, people who want to kill...will find ways...even without guns available.
But it has to be concerning that someone with mental issues can buy a gun. In our own family, my nephew, who is involved with drugs and has been in and out of jail..has come home with a gun. I don't know when/how/where he bought it...but luckily my bro-in-law found it and was able to hide/dispose of it. It really bothers me that nephew was able to do this. We live in CA so I know we have strict laws out here...
So, I have no issues with background and waiting periods. And as you stated only licensed gun dealers...no Walmart, no pawn shops, no Craigslist.
But then again, only law abiding citizens will purchase their guns this way...what about criminals?
My son is a police officer, he has caught young men on parole with guns in their possession...and guess what, said parolee is back on the street the next day. Before son is done with paperwork, perp is out. Shouldn't there be mandatory jail time?? But we have overcrowding to deal with...so out on the streets they go.
From what I understand we have laws, esp in Ca. But are they being enforced?
Would it be better if the federal government stepped in...what do they bring to the table as far as law enforcement...punishment? What is their track record?
So, I guess the debate is finding that balance of protecting individual rights, safety for the general public and the role of federal government.

for stickers, I have them organized by theme, put them in a sheet protector (with cardstock to support it) and place in regular magazine holders. But I do not have a lot. A couple of gals in our scrapbook group use the ScrapRack...and I see them a lot at the Expo crop...but it does seem to take a lot of 'real estate'. scraprack link

I am kind of hoping he shows up in Westeros to help her out...also I am hoping she finds Gendry and they team up also...I'm still hopeful that he is okay

in the book I do not remember any attraction between the two (but it has been a few years since I read the series). I think this is a level of chemistry between the actors.

I could be interested in doing a day crop. I usually do all 3 crops, but the cost of the hotel this year is just too prohibitive. When I tried to reserve a room, I missed the Expo pricing and it is $369 per night...cannot do that!
Sent a text to a friend who showed some interest and will get back to you.

I sub to Scrapbook Circle and don't see a lot of exclusives, except the acrylic word that I love... link..here is June's kit. For my Gossamer Blue, I like that the cards are exclusive..but the embellies are not.

I mostly scrap my grandkids, so right now, cutesy, cutesy and more cutesy for me
I am a mix of both theme and mood scrappin...but the embellies and colors that 'speak' a theme to me...
baby..onesies, tear bears, baby animals...pastels
Spring...flowers, butterflies, birds...in pale blues, pinks, greens, yellows
Summer...mermaids, flip flops, pool stuff (no lake or beach here)...bright fun blues, oranges, greens
Fall...woodland animals, fox, owl...deeper browns, greens, golds
Winter...well, this is tough, as I live in the central valley of CA, and we don't get snow. so, scarves, hot drinks...love the blue/brown combo in winter papers
birthdays...gifts, balloons, cake in the brighter primary colors
Christmas...love 'light' embellies and trees....traditional Christmas colors, though I like papers that have pink also

1. Looking back at the Month of May, what made you smile? I did enjoy these threads daily and my birthday month!
2. What, if anything, were you able to create in May? Worked on some dgd#2's album...and dgs#1's album. Made cards
3. Which challenges were you able to complete (from the TYS threads or from any other site)? a few, used a clock, washi tape, project life cards in a new way...used new tools, new products and pulled out some old tools
4. What is your next scrappy project? Completing 2015 albums for grandkids, up to Oct in the girls...Aug for dgs#1 and dgs#2 is not started yet. A mini album for my dd's mil is also in the stack.
5. What new--or old--products, photos &/or ideas are you looking forward to playing with? Well, thanks to yesterday's thread, the last trip dh and I made to Florida...but that will be fun.
6. What was your last scrappy purchase? pfffft, birthday month, been purchasing all month...teehee. Off the top of my head, bought some stamps from Crafting Desert Divas, that I have not opened yet. So looking forward to playing with them.
7. What's on the top of your scrappy wishlist? in my Scrapbook.com cart...Nuvo dots. I have 4, but do NEED more. kwim?
8. What is the last photo you took? dh and dgd#1 eating ice cream at Baskins yesterday
9. What is your favorite photo from the month of May? too many to declare a fave...but for mother's day I sent my mom flowers, my neice posted a pic of her with them...and she is smiling and looks so good. After thinking we were going to lose her last Christmas, this is a fave.
A fave I took was of my 2 cats on the bed together. My Percy (a.k.a momma's boy) is resting peacefully, while Winston (a.k.a the velociraptor) is standing behind his head...it looks like a sweet pic. The reality, Winston was just about to bop Percy in the head...off camera I had a water bottle aimed at him..the pic is of him rethinking and weighing his present course of action.
10. How do you plan to scrap that photo? with journaling!! for both of them
Thanks for the prompts this month. I have truly enjoyed it.

The big trips dh and I go on...I keep a travel journal and will scrapbook later in their own album. Thanks for reminding me, I have our last Florida trip to do. I also tend to be more themey with these trips.
Small family trips, will go in the grandkid's albums in the chronological order.
But then ds has pics that are of his Mountain climbing/hike...so he will probably get a mini album of the specific trip
My kids go on regular Yosemite, Shasta trips, luckily there are a ton of pp options out there to keep them fresh.

hardly take pictures of my self...or have them taken.
my problem is in my head I think I look like dd...then I see that picture and don't know who that old woman is...
yesterday we had an 'event' and my friend took some of me with the grandkids, if they did not turn out too awful, I may scrap them...

odd man out,
I still use glue sticks. Esp Like the Elmer's Photo Sticks. Hate the pioneer and uhu sticks...awful, awful, awful
I do have an ATG, but as with most tape runners I am jinxed. I always end up having the tape floop out of the dispenser and have to stop and rewind...and then the tape breaks. I do like it when it works, but for me ...it is a pain. also for dd's wedding invites I used Tombow permanant...then saw one of them at a friends house and it was falling apart! $7 per dispenser and it was not worth it.
Mini and Craft dots for embellies, pop dots ...the red permanant tape when these don't work
and a friend introduced me to a glue pen for those smaller or thin embellies that the glue stick is too messy for.

Love sketches, but don't use them very much.
When I started Scrapbooking the CTMH Reflections binder was my 'bible'...
I do have a handful of page sketch books, only one pagemaps though, and I keep the cards right next to my desk when I am lost and need that inspiration. Keep telling myself I want to use them more.
I also love seeing what others do with the same sketch, how personalities and styles can make it different.
