How scary , hope he is on the road to recovery. Bike accidents can happen so easily. I'm surprised to read that so many people see people riding without helmets. I can't remember the last time I saw anyone ride without one. We can be fined here if we don't wear them. Several friends have had accidents which involved cars and would probably not be here if not for their helmets. Thanks for sharing your story, especially the details of his recovery. It brings home the reality of dealing with injuries long term.

I'm really surprised that people find the Aussie accent sexy!!! I love Irish accents. Oh, and my husband is Welsh but he came to Australia at 15 and went to a school full of English immigrants who couldn't understand him so he now sounds more English. I must admit I did like his accent when I met him. Corinne

I'm sure I read a thread that explained how to do this but I didn't think to save it. I have had my Cameo for 3 years and despite buying quite a few Print and Cut files I have yet to take the plunge and attempt to cut one.
I am thinking of taking some Kerri Bradford classes as I'm sure there is lots of things the Cameo can do that I am totally clueless about!
Thanks for any help, instructions or links to tutorials. Corinne

I bought these little brass bookplate clips that slide over the top of the spine from a stationery store. I use different coloured cardstock to make the labels so I can identify Holiday, Family etc albums. I just wish I had bought more because of course now I can't find them and I'm down to my last 8. As a last resort I'm thinking of just using my label maker to at least record the year on the spines. Like you I was recently looking for a particular layout and could not find it! Corinne

To be honest, I'll be a little bit glad to see the end of 2014. Within my family and close circle of friends, there have been 6 deaths- which included 4 people well under the age of 50. It has just been a sad year all around.
I wish I could be more organised and still have lots of things to even begin on my "to do" list, but I'm not going to stress about it. We are having a Christmas in July, mainly because my mum's dementia is increasingly worse and we are trying to spend more family time together whenever we can.

Another vote for the CM circle cutters. When you are trying to cut our photos it is perfect for seeing exactly where to cut. I have a Cameo but haven't attempted to cut out photos with it. Of course I am going to be in trouble when my blades give out as I never bought extras. Corinne

I so need to do this. I decided to do some scrapping today but instead spent 2 hours sorting through new stuff I had bought over the last few months. And I am currently waiting on an order of stickles, adhesive and some dies. Oh and some ink pads, cardstock and stamp/die set from Stampin up. Definitely time to stop spending and start actually using my stuff. Corinne

I bought the class from Allison Davis on using 6 x 6 pads and have made so many layouts from it. I love using it for embellishments too. It really is a lot easier to cut into than a new sheet of 12 x 12 paper. Thanks to all that shared links, I am going to check them all out tomorrow. Corinne

Thanks for the replies. I never know when I post if it is the middle of the night elsewhere! I shall start with the new album and look for those songs first. Corinne

Wow, this post brings back memories! When I first found 2Peas I used to download layouts to print, in black and white, full pages and I used to also print out quotes and titles from Pea Soup. I am pretty sure I still have a folder with lots of quotes in it. I was always planning to type them all out neatly under topic headings. I threw out such gems such as "titles for summer pages" and all those ABC lists. Just went and checked- I do still have it! It even has pages from DMarie in there. Looks like I started sorting them, some of them are cut out and pasted onto blank sheets of paper. Corinne

What a pretty room. I like the fact you have included lots of little decorative bits and pieces as well as all the practical storage items. I took photos of my scraproom a year ago - I must do it again as it's changed a bit! Corinne

My name is still the same. Although I was a member for 12 years I was mainly a lurker with under 1000 posts. I have plans to change this. Corinne

So although I live in Australia, I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I have never really heard any of his songs. He was a judge on The Voice here last year and sang a song this year as a guest. I've never listened to country songs but I really liked this one. I'm hoping there are some fans out there who can direct me to their favourite songs so I don't have to depend on the 30 second snippet you get on ITunes. I've downloaded "Shame" and "Without you" so far. Thank you! Corinne

Glad you had a nice birthday! I turned 50 in October and was dreading it a little bit too. 40 never worried me and I had planned a big fancy dress party for it. Unfortunately I was quite sick at the time and had no party. So I decided to make a big deal for my 50th. We planned a wonderful trip to Hawaii and had a Hawaii 5-0 party at home. Everyone dressed up, we decorated our back yard, ate pulled pork and played limbo. And like others I really enjoy this stage of life. I feel more confident in the decisions I make and the opinions I have. Life is too short to do things you don't want to do so I don't! I feel like I'm more in control of my life and more accepting of how things are. Yes, I wish I had my younger body, less wrinkles and didn't need to dye my hair every 6 weeks, but overall life is good and I wake up happy. Most days anyway. Corinne

I feel your pain. I think I have changed my ITunes password about 10 times. I write it down and it STILL won't accept it at times. To make it worse my husband set up my IPhone and IPad and somehow used HIS password so when I want to download a book or buy a song I have to remember his password. My work password has to be changed every couple of months and you cannot use anything remotely similar so I make sure my workmate knows what it is she is great at remembering stuff! Corinne

Interesting question. 1.My Mum's struggle with dementia. This is going to be a difficult one as it also includes the fact that my sister left my younger sister and I to deal with it and now refuses to speak to us and is lucky to visit my mum once or twice a year. I'm trying to document the positives - how close my younger sister and I have become, but I also think it's important to document the truth about the rift in our family. 2. Another difficult one - my brother committed suicide when he was 25 and I want to write about how this impacted the lives of our family. I also want to record all our childhood stories and memories about him. 3. On a lighter note- my career. I'm a teacher and have been lucky enough to teach in such a variety of jobs and I really need to document the highlights and reasons I teach. 4.I have never documented the story of how my husband and I met and how we finally got together. 5.I've decided to start sewing again and would love to make a few layouts about how I started sewing 30 years ago. I still have some of the outfits I made for myself in a suitcase out in the shed, so I should start by photgraphing them. (on a dressmakers dummy - unfortunately I don't have a lot of photos of me wearing them and even more unfortunately I am no longer a size 10!) Maybe by making this list it will remind me to get them done this year. Corinne

I'm glad I clicked on this. I have swollen ankles but as I was on Prendisolone for 10 years and am now still on anti rejection drugs ( which means I put on close to 20kgs) I just assumed it was another side effect. I didn't know it could be heart related. My mum has narrow arteries which is a genetic issue which lead to several heart attacks and eventually a bypass and she has had swollen ankles for a long time. I have just started using one of those electronic pulse machines when I get home from work as I have heard they help. Definitely going to ask my doctor some more questions. Corinne

I was just thinking about this! I was a member for 12 years and only started posting occasionally around my tenth year - only 848 posts. Like others, being in a different time zone was the main reason, but I read the boards daily and when they shut down realised how much I was going to miss them. So now that I have found this board I'm going to make a better effort to participate more! Corinne
