Thanks for your comments. I just found a copy hidden in my desktop folder -not the scrapbooking folder I expected it to be! I don't know if I can download a document here? I could also take a picture and post it but that wouldn't help you download it to use. I will give it a try.
Corinne
I just discover I actually have NO idea how to download a document or even add the photo to this website! Is there any easy instructions that I could follow listed anywhere? The reason I prefer the Goal Girl one is it is not divided into the months it just has boxes from 1- 100. This suits me perfectly as I scrapbook when I can. I do use two highlighter colours to mark them off though- Yellow if I complete a new layout from scratch and Green if I complete an unfinished layout. This is a goal for me as I have a lot of layouts that just need journalling or an embellishment I need to make on my Cameo etc.

Oh he is beautiful! He looks so much like our recent addition - we named him Billy. We didn't know if he was a girl or boy when we found him so we picked a unisex name till we took him to the vets. I do like Fred though. Our other cat is called Celia. She was a newborn kitten left in the roof of our school library- we heard her crying and rescued her ! Celia- because she came from the ceiling- if she was a boy she would have been named Rufus!

Hi, I had two trackers that could be coloured in as you completed layouts for the year. I have a copy of the one that has the months of the year made into block letters and another one that is titled Completed Scrapbook Layouts with Goal Girl written at the bottom. It has some pink and orange paint splashes around the edges. Unfortunately I have misplaced the copies I made for 2024. If you know where I could find new copies of these ( I would prefer the Goal Girl one if possible) I would appreciate it very much! I know they were free downloads from somewhere Thank You Corinne

I have two missing cat stories. Our 5yr old cat Badcat disappeared one day- we live in a cul-de-sac right at the end and our cats slept in a cat run at night in our back yard but sometimes went out into our front yard. We looked everywhere but no luck. 7 days later I arrived home to see him lying by our front door. I immediately realized he was injured and raced him to vets in a blanket. His back leg was damaged and the vet asked if we cared if our cat had 3 legs. His leg was amputated and he went on to live till he was 14. We never did find out where he was or what happened- we think he may have been trapped in a shed so maybe ask your neighbors to check. Another cat Jake (15 yrs old) disappeared and we couldn't find him anywhere. We were camping in the outback ( Australia) and I had a really weird dream that he had arrived home- he had been gone for 10 days. We returned home and that evening and my daughter said "you forgot to lock one of the cats in the cage, there's one by the car"' To our surprise it was Jake meowing but not dehydrated or injured. To this day we have no idea where he was! So there is always hope- they are mysterious creatures at times. I hope your furry friend finds his way home to you soon.

Thank you! I am lucky that my birthday falls during school holidays so I always get to do whatever I like - just spent the day at the beach eating prawns and relaxing with a new book! Corinne

We love her! We were lucky enough to see her live when she toured Australia earlier this year. We also saw Rob Brydon around the same time. We have made the decision to buy tickets AS SOON AS THEY are available. John Cleese and Eric Idle is still our best experience so far- front row seats, I caught a book which they threw off the stage during a skit, John Cleese spoke to me in front of everyone as I tried to sneak back into my seat a tiny bit late! Got home and found they had autographed the book. Corinne

I absolutely love Harrison Ford and as a librarian dressed as Indiana Jones for our parade when the theme was "Find your treasure" a few years ago! Still have my golden chalice. Some new Luxe theatres just opened 5 minutes from us so we bought tickets to see it in style. Huge comfy chairs with foot rests and recliners and delicious hot food and drinks delivered to us when we wanted it! SIX people ( this included husband and me) I loved the movie- it was what I expected it to be - adventure, bad guys( Nazis ...and of course romance!) We have actually started watching the series from the beginning again - one movie each night. We are up to Crystal Skull and although I know it is the"dud" movie in the series we are still going to watch it. Corinne

Hi, I have been using a free template to put two photos onto a 4 x6 photo - but it seems to have expired. The Apple store has one but while I have an Ipad and an Apple phone I don't use an Apple computer. All my photos are downloaded on my computer so I need something which will access them straight from my computer. I don't mind paying for something but I don't really want one with a monthly fee. I tend to scrapbook when I am not busy with work and can go months without printing photos. Any suggestions? Thank you! Corinne

So very sorry for your loss.
I totally agree with you regarding telling every man of a certain age to get tested regularly. My husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer a few years ago. As he had always had regular check ups ( he was 59) it was detected early enough to choose the path he wanted to go regarding treatment as luckily it had not spread too far. As he was considered relatively young he was offered different options- pellets, radiation which had the least side effects. The doctors told us that it can be a slow process and many men die of old age rather than the cancer itself.
However, he decided he wanted it removed as soon as possible, so the surgery was done remotely via a Robotic Prostatectomy. It was really strange to think that the surgeon was sitting in the corner of the theatre at a computer.
He was kept in hospital for a day and then came home with a catheter for a few days. His recovery was reasonably pain free with few complications.
Life is a bit different but we consider ourselves so lucky to have had the choice, have the surgery available so quickly and our medical health here in Australia covered most of the cost.

I am terrible at fussy cutting and usually avoid it at all cost. However, I subscribe to a monthly subscription kit from a local business here in Australia and as some of their papers have pictures designed to fussy cut I have decided to give it a go.
They have designed their own scissors that have large "handles" I can fit 3 fingers in one side and my thumb in the other if that makes sense!
To my surprise I am able to fussy cut more easily and accurately and expect I shall improve with more practice. The company is called Uniquely Creative - if you check our their website you can see them. I have forgotten how to add photos to posts here otherwise I would take a photo to show.

It's 8am on a Saturday morning here in Australia and I am currently sitting in my study/craft room listening to the birds outside my window. One of the reasons we love where we live is because we live at the end of a cul-de sac which are becoming rare so we have very few cars passing us. We live in suburbia but in the foothills and our native Australian birds are just beautiful to listen to. We are about to put out a birdbox because we have some birds that come and nest each year and sometimes they make their nests in unsafe places. We have kookaburras, possums and yes koalas in our yard at times too! I am making a conscious effort to de- stress my life so we have started walking around a local dam in the evening and that is so relaxing, listening to the birds, saying hi to all the other walkers and kids fishing.
I might try and see if there is an app for Australian birds. We have lyre birds who mimic not only other birds but things like car doors slamming, chainsaws, camera shutter and crying babies!!

Sweet Caroline…everyone always sings (yells) along. Good luck! Our principal recently retired and this is his favourite song so our Arts teacher taught the whole school ( 500 students from 5 to 12) to learn the words for the past few months in preparation. I love the song and have seen Neil Diamond twice so I am biased but being in a gym with everyone singing brought a few tears for sure! Corinne

Clearly some Australians on that train judging by the "budgie smugglers" underwear! I am surprised it hasn't happened here in Australia- it looks like fun and it doesn't seem like it is just limited to men only.

I loved "My dog Skip" but the ending was so sad. Our dog grew up with our grandson so when he passed away aged 10 I put together 10 pictures of the two of them together in a frame and used the last words on the screen as a quote. "The dog of your boyhood teaches you a great deal about friendship, and love, and death: Old Skip was my brother. They had buried him under our elm tree, they said-yet this wasn't totally true. For he really lay buried in my heart." Willie Morris, My Dog Skip. That was nearly 14 years ago and I still tear up looking at those photos.

All my Christmas pics tend to be yellow, or if I am being poetic, golden. And no one looks good. Especially me. Or I am stressy, trying to corral everyone. Last year we finally got everyone all in a bunch, pulled masks down for a quick pic and later my mom says to me, "Do you think we could do it again? I don't really like my neck." If anyone has advice for better Christmas pics, I am all ears. We used to take general present opening, food photos. At the end of the day I would organise everyone into family groups, photos with Nana, all the cousins etc. 2004- kids all hyped up, wandering out of photos, food on their clothes - don't get me wrong, I love these photos as they are real life. However, now as soon as family arrive ( we alternate Christmas between 2 houses) we take all the photos we need. 15 minutes and the rest of the day is ours to enjoy! And yes, we still take random photos! We get together at our house every Easter and in 2011 decided to take 1 photo of all us on, behind, in front of our couch. Everyone sits in their regular spot. Set up a tripod/camera with a timer. Yes, this means my husband is always sitting on the edge of the couch with his leg stuck out awkwardly as he sets the camera up and has to run back to the couch. Take about 15 photos- then pick the best one to scrapbook or frame. It reflects changes in our family- my mum passing away, followed by my auntie. Then as our grandson and nieces have grown up we have squeezed their partners in! Our nieces were young when we started and they sat on the floor, back to back with their arms wrapped around their knees. They have grown up into long legged teenagers but they still keep the same pose Corinne

Yes. Have even had nightmares. There’s a heaviness in my heart and I feel so helpless. I watched a video of a tank running over a civilian in a car. I’ll never forget that image and I dearly wish I hadn’t watched it. It was so awful to watch but I am pretty sure the man survived. Some people came and opened up his car. He looked like he was conscious. I hope he is getting medical help.

Maybe I should suggest this idea for staff at my school. We could throw rubbish around our cars to distract them! We are currently facing daily vandalism from crows attacking our cars in the carpark. They are pulling off rubber from our windscreen wipers- someone told my it cost them nearly $100 (AUSD) to fix them. Many of us have been wrapping the front and back wipers with material - however, yesterday when I had to leave early, I saw a really big crow attacking the material. I also noticed scratch like marks on my side mirrors- luckily they wiped off.
I think it must be mating season and they are being territorial.

I love the Notting Hill book store one. However, I find it difficult to find Photoplay here in Australia, so won't hold out hope that I shall be able to find it. The only scrapbook shop near me used to bring a few lines in ( they even bought the shark ones in for me!) but the current owner primarily stocks vintage, flowery lines usually designed for card making so I no longer buy from them.
I do buy one monthly kit from a local business that have lots of kits designed for Australia- Australian flora/fauna Christmas lines etc. Maybe I should suggest they design a book kit. One of the best things about their kits are the B sides are so multi-purpose and easy to use. I haven't done a lot of scrapbooking this year but I have no doubt I will be able to use up lots of the kits when I finally get some time!

I have several. I was wandering through our local shopping centre, when I noticed a man sitting inside a bookshop at a desk with a pile of books all by himself. It was Bryce Courtenay, one of my favourite Australian authors. I went in and chatted to him for about 10 minutes and he signed my copy of "The Potato factory". I have been to see Brian Cox a few times live and the last occasion, my grandson had just started university studying astrophysics so we bought him a ticket for a greet and meet. I was teaching science at the time and wore my galaxy printed dress. First thing Brian said was "I love your dress!" We all got a signed copy of his latest book. My favourite one- We had front row seats to see John Cleese and Eric Idle on stage. They did the bookshop sketch where the birdwatcher wanted a book with gannets. John C threw the book across the stage and it landed right between my feet!" During the interval, I went to show a friend who I knew was in the audience a few rows back- her brother opened the book and found that they had both signed it saying "Sorry about the gannet". However, the lights went down quickly and I had to try and sneak back to my seat. To my horror, I saw John C standing in a spotlight right in front of my seat, waiting till I returned! I looked up, mortified and he said "that's okay, take your time". The audience laughed and he said "It's ok, she's very nice".

We live in Australia so Fiji is our "island home". We have been on 6 trips so far, including our secret elopement wedding there. My husband is a scuba diver and as well as the beautiful coral there, he goes on this shark dive to Benga Lagoon - 12 times so far! They drop bins of fish scraps while the divers stand against a coral bombe and take photos. They see all sorts of sharks including bull sharks and occasionally a tiger shark has come. He has dived in Indonesia- Bali and Komodo Islands, Australia and Hawaii and says that Fiji has the best soft coral. The people are amazing- we have stayed at the same hotel and they remember us, upgrade us to suites if available. We have also spent a few nights at the more upmarket, "big name" hotels, but found they were not as authentic as the older Fijian hotels. ( very retro, 70's style) I have always thought I would never go on a cruise-but we have gone on a 7 day cruise through the islands twice now. The ship only takes 68 guests ( adults only) and actually ties up to a palm tree on an island at one stage! Lots of snorkeling, diving, exploring caves, visiting villages/church services and of course beach time. Last time I was lucky enough to jump on the boat when they sighted manta rays and got to swim above 3 of them! One of the most amazing things I have ever experienced. Corinne

Last night I watched a regular TV program here in Australia that takes older people ( living on their own) into a pre-school each day for a week, I think. Last night it was time to dress up for a party. One of the girls wanted the Elsa costume from Frozen but it had already been taken by Arthur. She chose another costume and the party went on. During the talent quest, Arthurs' older partner was trying to encourage him to sing a particular song. (she had taught music to children all her life) He wanted to sing his own song, which she then embraced. It was Miss Polly had a Dolly who was sick, complete with him acting out the song with a doll. Apart from being one of our favourite shows because of the amazing openness of the children and the positive effect it has on the older people, I actually mentioned to my husband how simple "gender" inclusivity is when children are young and it is disappointing when they feel pressured to conform to stereotypes as they get older. I cannot imagine spending my time being outraged by allowing children to be themselves. I have never understood the "boys don't play with dolls" , yet girls are encouraged to. Parenting isn't just confined to women. Corinne

I love these dresses. So beautiful and interesting too. Oh, I will have to take a photo of one of my favourite dresses! I'm a teacher librarian and buy lots of dresses from Modcloth. I have a summer dress with maps of the world all over it. A young guy approached me in a department store to tell me how much he loved my dress and "did I make it?" I also have a galaxy dress which I wore when I met Brian Cox after one of shows. (teaching science at the time) He said " I love your dress!" Corinne

I don't have the Airwrap but I do have the Dyson supersonic hair dryer. It is the best thing ever and when/if it ever breaks down I will buy another one immediately! I have a rare autoimmune disease which makes my skin extremely sensitive. ( skin often blisters/has welts/itchiness/constant burning sensation) I can still use the hotter settings in a hurry but generally use a mid range setting. My hair is shoulder length and using this dryer my hair is dry in about 4 minutes. At first it felt a bit bulky to hold because of the barrel part feeling heavy, but I was used to it within a few days. It is was originally around $700 (AUS) but is now about $549 (AUS) Dyson rarely goes on special but we were lucky. My daughter works at Myers and they had a sale that included the Dyson range and with her staff discount we only paid about $400. Now I am interested in the Airwrap! Corinne

So glad to see this post. My best friend whom I also worked alongside of for 10 yrs passed away last year after several years of illness. She was on sick leave all last year and due to Covid and her vulnerability we weren't able to see each other. We rang each other, then went to email and texting as she became more frail and I would love to print out all our messages. I used to send her cards as well and know what I wrote in them- song lyrics and quotes so I can print those out but do not want to lose our messages. I am going through photos at the moment to make a memorial for her in our school library- probably a lot of our Book Week photos- she was the queen of dress ups! Some are on my Iphone and some on my Google phone. I'm not very tech savvy but I shall certainly try these suggestions. Thank you, Corinne
