Playing outside until the street lights came on, walking to the park or school to play. We would pester my Mom for change and permission to walk to the store to get candy. Things I would never let my children or grand children do today. And on Fridays, my Dad would bring my sister and me a kids meal from Burger Chef. (The closest McDonalds was about 30 minutes away.) I can still remember be so excited for Daddy to get home from work. LOL!! That's so funny. We had a Burger Chef in my town also. Loved it.

So finally found a couple goodies at my local Goodwill I've found 2 Longaberger baskets, can't beat a $1.25 basket. Then today I found a paprika Longaberger large pitcher for $9.99 and a set of silver plate for $9.99. It was a good day after a bad week.

I got the Gelish set this weekend. I have had crap nails since my teens. I have been getting the gel powder on my nails, but wanted to reduce my spending so I am trying the shellac. This is the first time I've tried it at home. So far 5 stars. I am a nurse and wash/clean my hands near 100x a day. Now it's only been on a day, but I don't have any chipping. I used the OPI base and top coat and one of the brands that Sally's sells for the color. I would definitely recommend the Gelish set with the light.

Thats just crazy. Surely she (or he?) had to have owned a store or something to have that many. No store, the original owner of these stamps is getting help for her compulsive shopping disorder. I wish her the best and her family that intervened. What I find very sad is that I was able to find her name, her home address and her employer just from the auction listings. I hope she gets through this, it can't be easy.

Wow, have never seen from this artist before. Love the retrospect album. Think I will buy the tutorial for my birthday. Where do you find the large envelopes she has in her core kit?

Fluff Post: I was just sending my brother in law a link about a Paul Simon exhibit that's in town for another couple of weeks. I saw it and it's really neat to see the yellow legal pads that have some of the original lyrics to their famous songs written on them. Started to get goose bumps. That got me thinking about famous things that I have seen. Probably one that is a highlight of my life was seeing the next to the last space shuttle launch. I'm 62, so I grew up watching them on little black/white t.v. in school. The day of the launch was so exciting at school. We would carry our chairs into the gym and hundreds of kids would sit quietly and watch the t.v. So I definitely get goose bumps thinking about the launch that I saw. As I said, it's been one of the highlights of my life. What famous thing (can be event or an item) have you seen that gives you goose bumps thinking about it? I was also at the launch of that space shuttle with my family. It is by far the most spectacular thing I've ever seen in my life.

My son was at his friends house in Copeville. I could see on the radar that the storm was right over them. Wasn't able to get in touch with him but his friend's mom texted me saying they were in a closet and the house was shaking violently. About 10 minutes later my son called to let me know the house was destroyed but all 25 people in it were fine!! I went out to get him and help get the others to safety. All cars were destroyed so they were stranded. The devastation out hwy 78 was terrible. I haven't been able to sleep. I am so glad everyone was ok!

My husband needed a new iPhone.. We are with AT&T, went on Saturday and got him a new phone, and another iPhone 6 for free, we just needed to add a new line. The new line became youngest dd's new number. We also got the iPad mini for her, it was $99. A win for everyone.

I don't subscribe to her kits, but I've often thought about doing a old&new type of scrapbook. Like things from my childhood-- like How I spent Saturday mornings or Friday nights. Prom dresses. I was showing my 12 yr old this evening the old Gunny Sax dresses that were so popular in the 80's. Old dreams and new dreams.
Just some things on my list. Hope that helps.

As a nurse who used to work in Oncology, first call the dr. Then if no answer in 1hr I would go to the hospital they would send her to. She should be calling the dr for any fever over 100. She can become septic very quickly. Call and go.
