The Gina K bundle we got went on sale last night. I saw a quick snippet of this card in an Instagram story during the C&C weekend but could never find an actual picture. This card is gorgeous! If you don’t follow Dilay, do it! http://instagram.com/p/Cqokq6gPJAi

Prince Philip could not have been called King as a king is higher ranking than a queen. Thanks for that info. I’ve always wondered why he wasn’t called king.

Normal educated people know this.
The orange piece of shit said yesterday he can do whatever he wants with documents. You’re NEVER going to convince his moron supporters differently.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. It’s time to write off “republican” and stop trying to educate them.

I mailed mine on the 30th. I'm not paying to file electronically so mail is my only option. I'm not expecting my refunds until September like the last few years.

I think I have done four of the C&C card events. I didn’t do the first one and I wouldn’t have known about it if it wasn’t for this board! I am planning o doing the fall event but it depends to a certain extent on which companies participate. I loved the addition of Altenew this year, but I really missed The Stamp Market. So, we’ll see but I hope to participate! I could have written this word for word!😁

I was a loyal Stampin Up buyer but when I found clear stamps I moved on. Their designs just didn't advance like the other companies I found. I still have tons of their cardstock that I love and 15yr old ink pads that still ink as if they are brand new.
Papertrey Ink was the best and I dropped a TON of money there. They were innovative and their designs were top notch. But their horrible inexcusable business practices turned me off big time. A couple years ago, I spent my final stash of points and I won't ever shop there again.

MichyM I don't have any of their ink cubes but my first thought was "oh I hope she doesn't contact TSM because they are not going to be helpful at all". I will be honest and say that I've not had the best customer service experience with them either. I LOVE their colors, designs, stamps, etc., but their less than stellar customer service & high dollar free shipping threshold has stopped me from purchasing from them as often as I'd like. As for ink cubes, I store mine upside down. If I recall, the cubes have more of a foam pad like C&9. I wonder if it's the pad type? I've had Altenew, Gina K, Hero Arts, Distress cubes for years and none of them are dried out. But they all have a felt pad. Altenew are my oldest cubes (5 yrs old??) and a couple are just now starting to lighten but they are not dried out and have never been re-inked. It will be interesting to see if my C&9 pads last. Those are the only foam pad cubes I have. I've had them for less than a year but they are working great so far.

Let people have all the guns they want. Regulate the ammunition. Limit how many rounds. Tax the crap out of it. Really, really high taxes. Show an ID and fill out a form like getting Sudafed from a pharmacy. National data base that red flags purchases of ammunition. The 2nd Amendment doesn't mention ammunition. YES YES YES!

How are the tax payers of FL not up in arms over the screwed up mess he just created for them? It’s Florida. They are some of the dumbest people in this country. They are too stupid to understand what it’s going to cost. I’m sure Faux News did not cover that part.

OK, here's my epic long review. Not that anyone cares but since it's a lot of money, I want to give enough detail for a newbie to make an informed decision. ---------------------- Wow, what a weekend! I was so exhausted on Sunday night, I definitely needed Monday off to recover! I was skeptical about the weekend because it was expanded to 4 days. When I saw the schedule, I made the conscious decision not to attend the early morning classes. 6:30am was just too early for me to start crafting. I have not finished all the classes either. I’m hoping to work on those next weekend. Here are my thoughts… Thursday – I did not do anything on Thursday since I had to work. I will probably go back and watch the Crafters Companion class and try the products. I didn’t hate their products like I did for the last event. I watched Meghann’s class but haven’t made the cards. I LOVE the quatrefoil stencil and stamp. I cannot wait to use these products and try out different color combos. Hero Arts – I skipped this class for 2 reasons, I don’t like the products and it was too early. I heard a lot about the fence card so I may go back and watch if I’m bored. Spellbinders – Great class. I completed the first two cards but skipped the coloring card because that’s not my thing. I really like the background die and am looking forward to seeing different ways people use it. I think it was already released to the public. Scrapbook.com – what can I say, loved this class, it was all pink. 😊 I also have a couple other ideas for additional cards. Taylored Expressions – For the most part, I’m not a fan of TE stamps (they are just not my style) but really love their stencils. I did not like my ink choices but I’m looking forward to trying other color combinations. I really liked how Jennifer McGuire used blue and yellow together for the flowers. That’s not a combo I would ever use but it looked really good together. Ranger/Simon Hurley – I skipped this class because the cards did not appeal to me at all. I didn’t even open the product bag. I was one who thought Simon should get a full class and still believe that, but the desert theme was yuck. I will say my interest was piqued when Jennifer McGuire used his product and there are sentiment stamps with coordinating dies. I need to open that bag! I'm a huge fan of sentiments with dies. Gina K – I’m halfway thru with the class. I really like the concept of using the layering stencil with the die cuts. The layering of the pattern stencil was cool too. I really want to make this card with various shades of grey leaves and yellow flowers. I just love that color combo. Stamps of Life – I skipped this class. The products were just too juvenile for me. Lawn Fawn – I’m not a colorer or a critter lover but for the first time ever at C&C I completed the Lawn Fawn cards! I really enjoyed this class. I was bummed that the stencils were so small because moving the little squares around was a pain in the butt. I have a unicorn set from Hello Bluebird and the sentiments were perfect for these cards, so I used those instead. I like the look of glitter but jeez it is such a mess. I basically dipped my die cuts in the glitter jar over a coffee filter and threw the coffee filter away with whatever loose glitter was in it then stuffed my glitter jar in a ziplock bag. I can’t wait to send these cards to my BFFs 5yr old daughter! Altenew – I’m a Altenew fan so this class was a win for me. I have a couple of their Craft Your Life project kits and this was just a mini version of that. I do wish they would have provided a die for the flower stamp. If they come out with that, I’ll definitely buy it. Her technical difficulties with the camera didn’t bother me like it bothered some people but I already was familiar with how her stencils worked so maybe that’s why. On a side note, they are tempting me with that darn StampWheel. Brutus Monroe – I have not watched this class, but for the first time ever, I actually like some of the products we got. I like the flower stamp and stencil sets. I have a vision for color combos that I want to try so I’m definitely going to watch this class. I don’t care for the easel die but I think it’s just that boring vine that’s tainting my view. I really need to play with it to see if its gonna get tossed. C&9 – I did not watch this class live THANK GOODNESS! Cathy was bugging the crap out of me with her singing and wanna be fake Gina K calming imitation voice. I also cannot stand her trying show off her mani with every movement of her fingers. I really like her clean and simple cards, but she just bugs me to no end. OK on to class…I liked the products and completed 2 of the cards. I totally messed up the third but made my own version of a "postcard". I really like the postage theme and think there are a lot of ways to use the products. I especially like that there are stencils for the small postage stamp square. That’s cool. I’m not a lighthouse fan but I have a friend who likes anything light house so that card is going in the mail to her this week. Honey Bee – OK my first thought when I saw the cards in the book was ICK. Of all the birds, why an owl? I wasn’t even going to try the class but at the last minute did the homework and decided to play along. While I’m not a fan of the owl, the cards aren’t as bad as I thought. Even better is that I do have some other bird layering dies and now I’m not intimidated to use them. Pink & Main – I’m not a huge P&M fan but was really looking forward to this class. I never would have purchased the envelope die set but man it was so cool once I started playing with it. I wasn’t a fan of her color choices, but I definitely think I’ll get a lot of use out this die set. Jennifer McGuire has a couple videos for pop-up dies and she uses acetate to make elements look like they are floating. I’m excited to try some of those ideas. LDRS – I watched this class while I finished up other projects but did not make the cards. The cards are just not my style, and they were so age specific that I just couldn’t figure out a way to make them more generic. It’s very Heidi Swapp-ish and that messy stamping is just not me. Jennifer McGuire's video – I was so looking forward to this video but was completely underwhelmed with it. I really liked her first card using Gina’s dies to make a gatefold card and the tip to create a mask so we can ink the overlapping flowers different colors. Other than that, the video was a bore. I need to see the class line up for the fall event but I’m pretty sure I’ll be signing up. It’s going to be another 4 day event in the fall. Catherine said they would get the website updated with the new dates. I’m really glad the classes were kept to Youtube only and not going to Facebook for the question portions. Actually, I wish they’d get rid of that and extend the classes by 15 minutes. The only other thing that I’d like to see changed is on the printed schedule. They need to go back to putting the start and end times. I was so confused about when classes actually ended and how much time there was in between classes. I would like see a change in companies represented but I know that is very limited because it’s a relatively small industry. I hope The Stamp Market and Pink Fresh Studio come back. The Greetery would be a great fit too. Simon Says Stamp should be represented with their branded products with Kristina Werner as the instructor or Cathy Z using her own SSS line of products. I really don’t care for The Stamps of Life, LDRS, Crafters Companion or Brutus Monroe so if they were replaced that wouldn’t bother me. Overall, I think the event was definitely worth the cost even if I’m not using product from a few classes. I don’t really learn new techniques or anything I haven’t seen in a Jennifer McGuire video but these events force me to use the products and I really enjoy the time creating. I don’t have any other money spending vices except cardmaking so this is me getting my fix. 😆 Also, I don't have any real life friends who craft so I like the community vibe of this event. I actually like that this cardmaking board is getting more active too. I could talk crafts ALL DAY LONG! It gets my mind off the real world crap going on. So very long story short, if you are a newbie and interested, take the plunge!

Please don't get me wrong. I think Simon is amazing! I've enjoyed several other classes with him in the past. It was just that the whole desert vibe did nothing for me, at all, not even a smidge! I'll be happy to catch him again with a different theme. I totally agree. I loved his class at the last C&C and was one of the people who said he needed a full class not a mini class. But this time I was so disappointed in the theme of the products. I didn't even bother to watch his class because I'm never going to make the cards. They just aren't me at all.

If they are able to get past the two-factor authentication and still are able to change your password over and over, that is weird. I'd probably complain to Instagram, not that they'd do anything. Isn't your two-factor authentication linked to a phone number to text or an email address that only you should have access too? I find it hard to believe someone is able to get past both over and over.

I got quite a few cards made yesterday.
I was disappointed with my ink colors for the Taylored Expressions class but that’s on me. I really disliked my stenciling on Kraft cardstock too. I wonder if Taylor’s Kraft is lighter shade than what we got in our box? Hers was muted but not a brown mess like mine. 😂
Gina’s class was too early for me this morning and Stamps of Life is one I was planning to skip so I’ve been finishing up yesterday’s cards. I’ll start with Lawn Fawn at 11:30 pacific and then do Gina’s after the rest of the days classes.
Hopefully I can get some pictures uploaded later this evening.
Have fun today!

Definitely open a dispute for a full refund. Upload a picture that shows the defect too. Do not negotiate with the seller. Just open a dispute.

I love Meghann's cards. They were also my favorites of the whole weekend when I first went thru the book and her live did not disappoint. I think I'm in the minority because I like that the stencil is not a full sheet of the quatrafoil. There's definitely a lot of masking but I l think it's much more versatile with the smaller portions of a stencil. One tip for stencils, definitely use alcohol to clean them. This is a game changer. I got a tiny spray bottle, filled it half way with alcohol and put a paper towel in a rectangle Tupperware container and just spray my stencils in the the Tupperware and then wipe them off. These are the spray bottles I use: www.dollartree.com/crafters-square-2oz-clear-refillable-pump-spray-bottles-2ct-packs/296372

Update: I was in a meeting this morning and it was stated that a very important report hadn't been received. It was another thing she had said she'd do. I searched all over our server to see if it had been done and I couldn't find it. I did it and submitted it. And I sent an email to my boss about these issues going on again. I'm so confused. This was the perfect opportunity to let the chips fall. Why did you do it for her?

Well a tornado took off some roofs. And the snow is really low on the hills at the start of the San Bernardino mountains. It cleared up a bit so we could see it and now the clouds are back with light drizzle. OMG I cannot believe these dummies were just standing around filming in front of all those glass windows! Talk about dumb ways to die!
