All my favorite lip colors that I can no longer find in stores live on on Amazon. I buy three at a time just in case, but I have been buying them on Amazon for years.

My parents live in Windsor which is next to Fort Collins. It is a nice area that has exploded in the past 20 years. Housing in CO is crazy expensive, but it is a beautiful place to live.

Since you are also in the North Texas area, you may know that there is an organization in Plano called Bed Start that has a similar mission. We frequently volunteer with them with NCL and YMSL. It is shocking how much of a need there is for this service. I was not aware of Bed Start.
Are you aware of Project Linus? I make blankets for them.
My daughter and I have made several blankets for Project Linus and donate them through NCL (National Charity League). We love doing this for them.

I am a proud practicing Catholic and it is very common to hear this at wedding ceremonies, funerals, or Christmas and Easter masses when there may be participants who are lapsed Catholics or those who are Christian but not Catholic. It is not ever meant to offend, in my opinion. It is just a gentle reminder that the Eucharistic sacrament is taken very seriously and participants have to meet certain expectations.

You can get a prepaid credit card. I get Euros ahead of time thru AAA. (AAA is much faster than my bank). Open a separate bank account & get a debit card to use for travel. Put a daily limit on your debit & credit cards. I have previously received foreign money through AAA, but it seems they have discontinued this since Covid. Just yesterday I went to a currency exchange at our mall to get Euros for an upcoming trip to Italy.

I need the diffuser part. I am going to Italy in 10 days and I just bought a travel hairdryer that comes with a diffuser. I hope it does a good job. Previously I would bring my regular hairdryer and diffuser and use a voltage converter along with a plug adaptor and that worked fine. Just a lot of steps to dry my curly hair.

We have tickets to see Stevie Nicks/Billy Joel, Taylor Swift (floor seats!) and Madonna. We are also going to see Bono in NYC. Considering getting tickets to Duran Duran and Depeche Mode.

How much is your son’s well-being worth? I would do anything I could to get him out if there NOW!
Take a personal loan, put it on a credit credit card, whatever.
Your son’s life is most important.

We spent a week there last June and I think that was plenty of time to see the park and surrounding areas. I would try to see other areas during the two weeks. We absolutely love Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons too.

We attended the Nutcracker in December and currently have tickets to see Billy Joel/Stevie Nicks, Bono (at the Beacon Theater in NYC), Taylor Swift and Madonna. Some are getting a bit long in the tooth so might as well see them when we can.

Couples will absolutely need to have pre-marital counseling by the Church. It is called Pre-Cana and it can be over several classes or an Engaged Encounter weekend. Also, all Christian religions are an "offshoot" of the Roman Catholic Church, not vice-versa. All that aside, your future son-in-law doesn't sound like a good mate for your daughter and needs to work a lot issues out, and that is much more important than what the Catholic Church will require for marriage. Has this changed? Is it church-wide? When we were married in 1994, we saw the priest three times. One of those times, we had to take some type of compatibility quiz. We couldn’t take it home to do it; we had to do it there. I thought it was interesting to see which things we were more compatible on than not, but other than that I don’t think that counseling did squat. We didn’t have any big issues going in, though. Not like the OP’s daughter. I was married in 1995 and marriage preparation called Pre-Cana was a requirement in our diocese (Los Angeles). It was not conducted by a priest, but by several married couples who shared their experiences on many subjects. My own parents held lead these classes for years while I was growing up. Our discussions with our priest, which took place separately, focused mainly around our compatibility concerning religion in our marriage and making sure we were willing to raise our family in the Church.

To answer some of your questions:
Only one person needs to be Catholic to marry in the Catholic Church and have your marriage blessed by a priest. However, both parties must agree to raise their family in the Catholic Church. If this is not going to happen, don't get married in the Catholic Church.
Yes, of course you will be required to make a donation to the Church to married in their facilities. Every church has operating expenses and will require a fee. "Sizable" is probably not accurate. $200-800 will probably be the range.

I listen to podcasts on my walks with both in. I can hear everything around me. I am usually with my two labs who would also alert me. Getting AirPods has really been a game changer - I walk for much greater distances having something to listen to and keep my interest. Gives me something to look forward to on my walks.

We did a weekend-long Engaged Encounter PreCana class required by the Catholic Church and covered so many important topics. We felt pretty well prepared by the time we married.
Of course we couldn't cover everything that would challengeus, but we had a calm, fair way of discussing topics which has served us very well almost 30 years later.

Has anyone tried HungryRoot?
We have been using Hello Fresh on and off for the past year and do enjoy it, but want to try something else for a change.
Hungry Root appeals to us because of the healthy options and a bit more flexibility in meals, but want some "real world" reviews before we give it a try.
If you have tried it, what is your opinion?
TIA
Also, I know the Australians think the name of the company is hilarious!

Every few years we make homemade vanilla (just vanilla beans and vodka) and give it wrapped in a Christmas towel (flour sack material) tied with red/white string with a Christmas cookie cutter attached. It is always well received. We start it in September so it is ready by December.

We stayed at a Sheraton very close to the airport and they had a shuttle that took us to the ship the next day for about $10 a person.

We have a possible job opportunity in the Syracuse area. It looks so beautiful! We are currently in TX but have lived in the north before.
Please tell me the good/bad/ugly. Any opinion on Catholic high schools? Our daughter is current sophomore.
TIA!

I would hate that layover. As a cautionary tale, I had a few friends fly Air Canada to Europe this summer and they had cancelled/rescheduled flights through Montreal and it looked like such a shitshow in that airport. They all blasted the airlines on social media and swore they would never fly them again. Put me off Air Canada for sure!

I am a Shannon which peaked in the 1970s - there were three in my high school. Now it is not even in the top 1000! I never seem to meet a Shannon under 40 years old these days. I think it is so pretty - wonder why it is out of fashion?

No one in our neighborhood does their own - all hire it out. We use the same guy each year and it is around $350.
