You must live near my parents. They are in Winsdor.
I love a good roundabout. I feel like a race car driver going around a turn.

We were just in London in July and we had a wonderful time doing all the usual tourist things. Who knew that just a short six weeks later it would all mean so much to us to have seen all the Jubilee decor. I regret not being able to make it out to Windsor castle though.
If possible, eat at Dishoom for the most delicious Indian food in the world! They have several locales and a reservation is a must.

What is a thoughtful baby gift (boy) for a new mom who has all the basics taken care of? My go-to gift is a basket full of books and I may go with that. But, just wanted to check if anyone has a new idea. Several years out if this season and want to see if there is anything new and better.
ETA: budget is around $100.

We have a chocolate lab who considers dog feces to be the most delicious treat on earth. Her own or her dog sisters - doesn’t matter. The fresher, the better🤮
Nothing we have tried will keep her from doing this. We just have to be diligent about picking it up every day.
Our previous chocolate loved to eat crayons which would create “rainbow sprinkles” poop.

If you go into your account info, click cancel subscription and it will give you the option to pause your account for 1-4 months. During that time you can use up your credits and then call them to cancel after they are all used. I just had to do this for my account.

I too have been told that biotin can affect my tests. It even says it in the results. I have completely stopped taking it as a result. This has just been within the last 6 months.

We did it for my inlaws’s estate and it worked out very well for us. We hired the company and they came and did all the advertising and photography. They grouped items into lots and took pictures and wrote the description. The auction was live for two weeks but most of the bidding was done the last day. I think everything sold but 2 lots. Then we had a pick up day with staggered times.
It saved us numerous trips to donation and the dump, and trying to sell items on Facebook and deal with no-shows and haggling.
It was not a lot of work at all. They literally opened a cabinet and each shelf was a “lot”. Didn’t have to pack anything up or move it.

We have owned 2 weeks through Marriott Vacation Club for over 15 years and have enjoyed it. However, now the kids are leaving the nest and we just don’t need it any more.
We know we may be stuck with this purchase, but I am wondering if anyone knows of any way that is on the up and up to legally sell the weeks. Dave Ramsey used to endorse a company to help do this but it is no longer in business.
We are not looking to make any money, just don’t want to pay the maintenance fees for something we are outgrowing.
Any hope?

What does your teen like to pack in their lunch? I am hoping to meal prep items on Sunday that they can just grab throughout the week. Trying to keep ideas healthy and with plenty of protein.
Ideas so far:
Cut up veggies/fruit with dip Chicken salad to serve with crackers and veggies Taco salad - pack individual ingredients to mix at school Leftovers from night before Pasta salad Green Salad with individual toppings to mix at school Asian noodles heated in thermos - add grilled chicken "Home-made Lunchables" with Turkey, cheese, crackers Yogurt with fruit and granola Hummus with veggies
What would you add to the list? Trying desperately to be organized this year!

We have a three car garage home and yes, we can fit three cars. We only do that if hail is predicted and then, it is a very tight fit. Usually my son parks outside.

We are in London right now and yesterday was fine. However Monday and Tuesday are supposed to be 104 (40 Celsius). Yikes!
Luckily we will be in a cruise to the Norwegian Fjords and (fingers crossed) cooler temps.

Tell me about your timeline. I just turned 52 this month, and my period is still very regular. I almost never skip a month. I haven’t had my period yet this month, and I am wondering if this could be the start of having more irregular cycles. I am ready for this part of my life to start winding down!
If you entered menopause naturally in your 50s, when did your cycle start changing and in what ways?
What were your other symptoms?

Reach out to the person to see if they even received it? I sent cash gifts in a card to three different high school grads at the end of May and haven’t received any acknowledgment that they even got it. All were sent through the mail.
Do I reach out to see if they even received it? I would hope they would be send thank you cards right away but I know that may be unrealistic.

My 15 year old daughter has gained so much weight in the past year. We had an enormous panel done to see if there is any underlying medical problems. One thing that came up is sensitivities to gluten and dairy. It was suggested that she eliminate both for a couple of months. She is not receiving the news well To help her transition into this, I am searching for yummy tasting gluten-free breads and dairy-free cheese that will ease her mind that anything new is going to taste "SO GROSS!!" For those in the know, what do you suggest? We have all the major stores near us, so suggest away! Thank you so much!!

Mine was about 500 in ÇA. If we sent my son to our local high school, his class would have been approx 1850! Of course we live in Texas.

Update:
Surgery went very well. He definitely needed it and I am sorry we didn't do it sooner. He doesn't have any packing in his nose, but instead has stents that will come out in about a week. He does have the gauze bandage below his nose to catch his drainage. Practically no pain though he did take a pain pill before bed just to insure good sleep but nothing else. He needs to irrigate with saline solution a few times a day. Really, it is going much better than I expected and I am happy we did it.
Thank you to everyone who shared their experiences. *************** My 19 year old son is having surgery tomorrow to correct his deviated septum (not rhinoplasty.) We are expecting a straight forward recovery based on info from the doctor, but was wondering if there are any tips/tricks to help him heal as quickly as possible.
For those who have experienced this surgery, how did your recovery go?

30 years later, my two best friends happen to be sorority sisters. We still take a girls trip every year. Sororities also gave me invaluable leadership experience that I use to this day in my volunteer board positions - Robert's Rules anyone?
Sororities also gave me some of my best memories from college with parties, Spring Break trips, late night study sessions, etc.
I LOVED my time in a sorority and I really hope my teen daughter will consider joining one.

Do you have a driving school in your area? Even though my son didn't do his drivers ed through it, they offered a practice test (where they go over the results and things to work on) and then an actual test which is certified and sealed and they you can take it to the DMV.
We found this took a lot of pressure off the actual test situation.

We visited Paris mid-March and purchased pretty expensive (approx 50 euros each) boxes of chocolates to bring home for my parents and our travel agent. I sent them each in a USPS small flat priority box after I returned home. I mailed them through a shipping store that have used previously because there is never a line and they save addresses on the computer to make it very quick to send packages. The clerk measured the flat rate box and told me a price that was cheaper than I expected. I thought is was one rate no matter what, but I didn't question it. They do this for a living - surely they know what they are doing, right?
Well, as you probably could guess, this was a big mistake. About a week later, I track the boxes because I hadn't heard from parents or the TA that they received the package. The tracking showed they were stalled at various places in the US. They could go no further because postage was due on each package. I got the travel agent's box back quickly and was able to send it correctly. (After having very strong words with the shipping store over what big mistake they made. Spoiler: they didn't care in the least! Just a shrugging of the shoulders and "If you want to resend it, you need to pay again for the correct amount.")
I just got my parents' box back after about 3 weeks. My WWYD is should I send it again to them? I am worried the chocolates may not taste as good after their tour of the US, but maybe they are fine? The temps hopefully didn't get too high to affect the taste but I can't be sure. I looked on the chocolate company's website and to mail them a box, it will be around $100, but then I can insure the quality is better. Or, I don't have to send them anything. I never told them to expect the chocolates, it was going to be a surprise.
What would you do?

I am stumped on what to fill my son's Easter basket with. He is not a sweets lover, so most candy is out. I am thinking of a new swim suit, 1-2 novelty t-shirts, some protein bars, and maybe an amazon gift card. He is all good on items with his college logo and I think he is good on toiletries.
Is there anything you are putting in your son's basket that is unique that I haven't considered?
I don't want to go overboard, but I am trying to think of thoughtful things that will get used.
