I have 3 trips coming up over the next few months. I leave tomorrow (flying from Arizona to Rhode Island). I’ve been monitoring the news, and never thought about canceling this trip. I did book refundable hotels for the other 2 trips just in case. Our kids spring break is this week and lots of their friends have canceled vacations. I can see if you are elderly or have compromised immune systems or are in regular contact with someone who does. We aren’t, so we decided to go on our trip.

We leave for DC on Sunday.
We don’t plan to cancel unless public spaces like museums start closing. I don’t want to pay to go on a trip and not be able to see everything.

I have a flight on 3/24 from CA to Maryland. I’m going to help my sister out during one of her chemo treatments. I will go unless I’m told it’s not in her best interest. And then we have a flight on 4/2 to London (visit is not to the city, but where we fly into). That’s a maybe as it may be cancelled on their end. I expect I’ll know by the end of the week.

My son left for France and Monaco on Saturday. I’m not so much concerned about him catching coronavirus but being quarantined and not being able to get back to the states after his trip. But we never considered him cancelling the trip.

At this point, I think you have as great of a chance being exposed to the virus around your own town as you do elsewhere in the US. I wouldn’t personally be heading into hot spots, and I also wouldn’t travel internationally, for fear of being quarantined. But I would still travel within the US. That could change at any time, though,,,,
ETA: there’s not a chance in hell I would go on a cruise at this point…

I have a girlfriend trip at the end of the month that we haven't talked about cancelling.
One friend is in India right now and will fly home to Vancouver before joining a couple others and flying to Palm Springs. I drive up to meet them so will still go if anyone decides to cancel.
We have tickets for a couple big events, including the Palm Desert Food & Wine Festival, and will be watching to see what happens to them, especially after SXSW was cancelled.
ETA The 2020 BNP Paribas Open Tennis Tournament at Indian Wells has just been cancelled, so I won't be surprised to see an announcement about El Paseo Fashion Week and the Palm Desert Food & Wine events also getting cancelled.

We were planning to go to Vegas this summer. I'm actually still waiting to buy my plane tickets-- the airline hasn't opened up my return date yet. I'm going to buy the tickets anyway, because I believe I will be able to use the funds against a different ticket if I have to cancel. The hotel's cancellable up to 72 hours ahead...
We have an event we're going to. If it's cancelled, then we'll cancel and put the funds toward next summer.

We are supposed to leave for Israel on Thursday. They have announced they might close their borders so if they do we can’t go. It’s the strangest thing - to pack or not to pack. Our original flight was cancelled and the airline rebooked us. Originally we were flying through Europe. Now we go direct from Canada. I think the closing of their border has political implications so we’ll see what happens.
Dh and i have a trip to Scandinavia booked for end of April.
We ha e a trip to Vegas booked for Mother’s Day weekend.

We go to Disney World April 2-13th. Not going to cancel unless they close. I have a post about Disneyworld on the 2nd Covid thread. We're supposed to be there in early April. They have closed the Asia locations. It concerns me that they won't close the US locations even if the should (I don't believe they closed for the measles outbreak for example). I worry they are more concerned about money than safety. Mostly I worry about touching LOTS of things (especially the kids), and people from all over the world being there.

Not yet. Flying to Spain (from UK) for a long weekend later this month. Unsure about going but mainly due to worry of getting caught in a hot spot and not being able to get home. DH is self employed and no work = no income. We're kind of hoping British Airways cancels flights etc and takes the decision out of our hands.

Not at this time, I'll be flying from MI to TX in late May - I'll wait and see how things are in mid May before I make a decision. I'm over 60 but consider myself healthy so I'll probably go.

We're still planning to fly to Peru this Saturday. There are no travel advisories for anywhere in South America, and cases in Peru are few. We'll take greater than usual precautions with handwashing, sanitizing surfaces, etc. just to be on the safe side.
Reading the Harvard Medical advice that there is no reason for healthy people to suspend normal travel to countries without warnings helped a lot with that decision.

Heading to Arizona tomorrow from Minnesota. Spending a week there. A smidge worried we’ll be exposed on the plane, but other than that, no worries and we’re looking forward to it!

We're going to Spain in May. No point cancelling this far out, and I'm hoping we won't have to, but watching and waiting. We'll probably come in contact with fewer people for the whole week we're away than I normally would on a single day when I'm working; the flights and the risk of quarantine are the biggest concerns.
