It appears the last Maggie Holmes collection, Woodland Grove, was released this past Spring (see discussion here). If you're interested, American Crafts has two new brands with a feminine & floral aesthetic: Celes Gonzalo ( Rainbow Avenue, as discussed here) & Bea Valint ( Poppy & Pear, as discussed there). HTH.

In addition to do-it-yourself with inks, crumpling, etc., a couple suggestions from a quick Google search for "parchment scrapbook paper:" Antiqued Parchment PaperParchment Cardstock PaperSince both are from HL, it may also be available in store (M-Sa; if you have one locally) so you can verify the color/texture/etc. HTH.

... I don't care for birthday sparkle... not enough contrast, and way too much pink. ... Birthday Sparkle - ... Wish there was more depth to the color palette. ... ... Birthday Sparkle is forgettable. Looks like so many other more feminine birthday collections. ... Agreed. This popular stereotypically feminine color palette lacks contrast & depth, & I especially dislike the bright yellow.

Wow, all the dude phrases are so awkward and forced. It is just not necessary to add the word dude to all them. ... I completely agree!

Thanks for your responses. Overall, the release feels feminine, floral, & yellow. Only the Honeycomb Stencil from SV Spring Garden is added to my wish list.

Thanks for your responses. With the exception of the Winnie the Pooh collection, the rest is similar to prior releases. Only the Checkerboard Stencil in the Have A Nice Day collection is added to my wish list (for board game layouts), & I hope the CheckerBoard collection will eventually include neutrals (e.g. black, charcoal, grey).

I think I am thrown by the names of these collections. None of the colours in True Colors appear to be "true". They seem washed out and have maybe a grey tinge? I think I should look more closely at the B sides. I like the starry pp, wendifful . Maybe there are others. ... So I think this line is an 80’s theme if I’m looking at it right. True Colors is a song by Cyndi Lauper that came out in the 80’s and I can see how it fits. ... Same! Although uncertain whether the song actually inspired this collection, I've been singing it for the past week since first seeing the collection/posting this thread.

Remember - ... Not sure about using it as a memorial collection though as it feels a little too "romantic" for that. ... IMHO it seems incredibly "old-fashioned" & feminine with the abundance, style, & colors of florals, butterflies, & (often flower-adorned) phonographs, cameras, & office supplies (e.g. typewriters, bookplates, labels, tabs, bullnose clips).

Thanks for your responses. While I appreciate the Wizard of Oz collection is a rare exception to the same themes on a loop, half of the reverse sides of papers are also themed, three are gingham, one is tone on tone yellow dots, & the other two are tone on tone green patterns. It seems a missed opportunity for multicolor stripes, plaids, &/or dots to use this color palette outside the narrow theme. I already have classic patterns in similar colors to the spring/Easter/baby collections. Therefore, nothing from this release is added to my wish list.

Thanks for your responses. While not interested in either the Shakers or Value Bundle, I appreciate the cool color palette of Snow Much Fun & the non-themed patterns on reverse sides of many papers (for Charlotte Hornets-related layouts).

Has any one bought this type of item before? This makes me hesitate " **Due to the nature of these bundles, contents may vary from the provided image.**" I exclusively scrapbook, am theme-challenged, & use few embellishments, so I've never considered a Value Bundle. Like you, the disclaimer would give me pause.

... We have a new little grand baby and her mother adores the color purple and anything with fur or feathers. This will be a perfect paper for maybe next winter. I will need to remember to find her a purple snowsuit. Congratulations! Hope you enjoy all her firsts this holiday season.

... I also love the B side of "Life in Color" from True Colors, because I'm just a sucker for an all-over star print. From the True Colors collection, this same pattern in pinks & orange is found on the reverse of the 2x2 - 4x4 Elements Paper & small wonky stars of various colors on a charcoal background is on the reverse of the This Is Me! Paper. Note there are also various star patterns in upcoming Echo Park/Carta Bella releases (see January, February, & March/April).

I love EP but they repeat themselves too much. Agreed. EP/CB, like many manufacturers in the industry, have become repetitive/formulaic/predictable resulting in the same tired sentiments/icons/colors for the same themes on a loop...ugh!

I like peach but am not interested in incorporating it into my wardrobe or home decor. Peach (&/or coral) has already replaced (&/or been added to) pink in collections released during the past year+. IMHO peach pairs well with navy, charcoal, grey, &/or white.

I don't have plans for any big purchases in the near future. Maybe Crop & Create if there are spots available in January. I have a tough time restraining myself from purchasing EVERYTHING this time of year. My mind and heart are busy saying YES! to purchasing gifts for others, while my credit card is sniveling in the corner whimpering NO! Most of the time I can hold myself in check b/c I know: 1) my family will probably give me cash or gc's to spend on scrappy goodness after the holiday 2) there is a chance that at least some of the things I want now will be on sale in the week after Christmas when I actually have my gc's in hand. The "devil" on one shoulder is holding you in check & your credit card in time out, while the (Paper)Angel on the other *whispers* There is also a chance that at least some of the things you want now will be sold out post-holidays! Remember "The best laid plans ... often go awry." - Robert Burns

I'm wondering if the fresh air collection will coordinate with hip hop hooray? The colors look similar Agreed. Both Fresh Air & Hip Hop Hooray appear to have a vanilla base & similar colors. Given its a popular color palette with Simple Stories, select pattern papers & embellishments from various collections would likely coordinate/match (especially if you're not opposed to mixing white & vanilla/off-white/cream)!

I'm in the southeastern US & also think hockey whenever "the Stanley Cup" is mentioned. It appears the reference was to the Drinks of Happiness Paper & Element Sticker sheet in the EP - My Best Life collection. Of course, the oversized reusable cups are adorned with flowers in compliance with the industry's current florals trend/obsession...ugh! I saw two cups on there, and from what I could tell, only one had flowers on it. It’s pink. As quoted, the poster "LOLed so hard at the Stanley Cup paper and sticker." It appears your comment is in regards to the linked sticker sheet only; note the orange tumbler has a floral accent, while the pink cup is unadorned. The pattern paper, also linked, features various colors of the oversized reusable tumblers, each embellished with a flower.

Um...are they stuck in the 2010's? With. Those smiley emjois are so 10 years ago as well as the black outline hearts. The phrase "Have a Nice Day" and the smiley faces are from the 1970s, as is one of the fonts used. ... It's my understanding both the phrase "Have A Nice Day," which was first used in a 1940s film, & the smiley face created by Harvey Ross Ball in 1963 were popularized in the 1960s...& still used today!
