Did the injuries happen before or after they took selfies with and opened the doors for terrorists? If it was after, oh well. I have only seen the 1 video and pic's of the same guy taking the selfie. Have you seen anymore? I think it's unfair to judge a whole population by one guy taking selfies. yes, I know that a lot of the police were pretty insufficient, but it sounds like some tried to keep people back, and got hurt, obviously. There were just too many people. not enough police, and the ones that were there were obviously not all invested. 🤨 |

GOOD. I hope she gets what she deserves. eta: I did try to watch that interview, but I couldn't get too far into it. her privilege and cluelessness is just so disgusting and off-putting. 'I didn't mean for him to feel bad... I'm really a sweet person.' Basically, she describes herself as a 22 year old "girl" and the 14 year old CHILD as a "man". She also doesn't understand how what she did is actually criminally racist. Victim culture on full display. 
Is it victim culture or the pretty timeless idea that white women are innocent and victims while black kids no matter how young are treated like adults? It’s not like they had time to secure any files and computers before fleeing to some underground tunnel. What’s done is done. What’s a bug sweep when you think of those spy movies and the 0.02 seconds it takes it copy an entire computer. They let them just walk away from the scene. Black people protesting their very lives in a pandemic were killed. One fatality today. That’s nothing and of course it would be a woman. Imagine what a history book would have to read like in order to paint the picture on this fuckery.

If Republicans have been called racist, it’s not without cause. Voter suppression targeted at cities, gerrymandering, voter ID laws and so much more are all power grabs, based in racism. What I'm saying is that ALL republicans are not racist. Just like All democrats arn't this or that. It's a blanket statement. just like the OP was saying. It's not fair to say it of one party and not the other. Yes, there have been racist things associated with Trump and the Trumplicans. But lets try and not let this color how we feel. Ive' only seen one picture and one video of a police taking a selfie. This same picture posted on here. We can't point fingers at all the capital police just because of one bad apple. When will this one bad apple idea diminish. The fact that they couldn’t protect the Capitol means they are all ineffective apples at the very least. The woman being escorted down the Capitol steps by police is the second and final bad apple. Everyone else heroes I suppose 😤 |

Seems the security forces have been infiltrated by traitors. The contrast to what is happening to these traitorous "protestors" and what happend to peaceful BLM protestors is so effin' infuriating. What a turn of events. I was so hopeful this morning and even considering when it would be safe pandemic wise to return and visit family. I am in total shock. Tuned back in to ensure the Senate seats were ours and this.😳Where was the preparation? |

Everyone has their own role to play and it all fits together. The only ones that should feel like they didn't do enough, would be the ones who didn't do anything. Some people are with us in spirit but have zero resources of time/energy/$ to help. While it may seem like they "do nothing" they might be talking to their family and friends to try to change hearts and minds... I maybe got to 10 postcards but I did talk her ear off the entire time. I also raided her fridge and ate some stuff before it could spoil. 😛🤪 |

Thank you for that! I tried to help a friend with a postcard goal and quickly realized I much prefer people shooing me off their porches! Great work! I'm very happy and proud to have a large circle of other white women who have worked very hard for progressive and other Dem candidates nationwide. My friend Carolyn bought 17 THOUSAND postcards for the Reclaim Our Vote campaign and found local friends in our area with about 130K people to write address and send them for the GOTV effort for the Nov 5 election. We had about 3 months to do those. Then, when we knew about the runoff elections, she purchased 14K more cards and we found people to complete them in 3 weeks. It was gratifying work to be able to do something which seemed it could make a difference. So glad we're seeing that it did, in fact, help. I'm very grateful to everyone who wrote, texted, called and knocked on doors like you did! Wow! That is impressive. There are so many lanes in this race! My friends goal was just 1K! |

I’m really proud of Stacey Abrams and Latosha Brown. A Georgia win wouldn’t have been possible without their hard work and dedication. Now to see what Joe Biden will do with the next 4 years. Hopefully he remembers who is responsible for the position he finds himself in. Queen Stacey Abrams! TEN YEARS of building the infrastructure to make this even a possibility! Now I need to look up Latosha Brown. Thanks for bringing her to my attention Olan. My friends and I in Cali sent $ and collectively wrote thousands of postcards to Georgians in Nov/Dec. Having written hundreds of postcards to Georgians in Nov/Dec and knowing there were sooo very many of us from all over the country doing so, I know we made a difference. Every single vote counts!
