12, I think. I was not positive about a couple of them, so I didn't count them.

My cats have been doing this to my dog since they were little kittens, also on his neck. They are 8 now and still do it sometimes! I joke that they think he is their mama. I'm positive it is a comfort thing.

I was going to say plether and denim, but for Taylor Swift and Pink, I'd go more bubbly and fun. For Taylor Swift Reputation, my friend had custom t-shirts made that said, "We never go out of style" for us moms and a matching one with a different song quote for the kids.

If she is eating out in excess of 10% of her income, there is a different issue. ?? Not quite sure I understand this. Can you explain more? That was just my sarcasm coming through. A tithe is 10% of your income, which isn't comparable to a percentage of a dinner bill unless she has an income that is as low as her dinner bill.

I did odd jobs when I was in junior high - concession stand at the baseball field (walking distance from home), Wednesday night child care at church (parents drove until I was old enough), babysitting.
My first job that wasn't seasonal was working the information desk at the mall. Great first job! Most nights were slow, so I could read or study. I was 15, and I had a license but not a car, so I drove one of my parent's cars or they dropped me off.

I did. They were called flute-a-phones. My kids called them recorders. They called ours flutophones, too. In 6th grade, we had 6 week classes for us to explore all the electives we could pick the next year (band, choir, PE, home ec, shop, and I swear there was one more). The flutophone was used for the band class, and I was pretty good at playing it.

Our Samsung French door isn't great. I'll go back to a side by side for my next one. I don't like bending over to dig through the freezer drawer, and it picks up animal hair like crazy - we screw open the back and clean it frequently.

Its sub here with one exception: poboys are on crusty French bread and are usually stuffed with shrimp, oysters, or roast beef. They come dressed or undressed.
None of the terms except grinder or torpedo would give me pause though - I've heard of a grinder, but I would have to think about what someone was referring to if someone asked for one.

I only go to Buccees while traveling if we come across one when we are ready to stretch our legs. Even if I lived where there was a Buccees, it would still be a travel destination, not a regular stop - its too busy and not fast. The last one we went to seemed like it had more pumps than parking spots, but we pulled into a spot anyway since we were going to be a little while.

We are in the 85% range, but I'll be surprised if we see anything. Its overcast and thunderstorms are expected during the height of the action.

That sounds like pink eye.
A stye hurts in a limited spot...almost like a hard pimple on the skin surrounding the eye.

I'm guilty of doing this recently. I sat behind someone and even spoke to them at one point, but didn't realize who they were until we stood up an hour later. In her case, she had lost a lot of weight in her face.
I blurted out, "I almost didn't recognize you!", and I did tell her she looked great, too. From my point of view, it was more a comment on my observation skills than on her appearance, though, of course, the other person would have no way of knowing that.

I noticed one woman in the picture in your link looking up without the special glasses on. What about all the school kids that don't have glasses. I worry about their eye health. We're in NorCal so I think we get about 30% at most. I would hope the schools would provide them if they are taking the kids outside, but at the last one here, I remember a ton of posts about how to make pinhole devices so that you could view it without glasses just using supplies like a cereal box and tinfoil.

We're in the 85-90% band, but its also currently forecast to be cloudy and raining (but our rain predictions are consistently wrong, so I should take that to mean bright and sunny). I have glasses, and it will be fun to watch even if it isn't total.
For kids though - watching the near-total eclipse in 1984 (5th grade) is a key memory for me, so I hope visibility is good for those who are in the path. My class went to a classmates house in Louisiana to watch.

NBC ArticleI haven't received anything from AT&T yet. From the article I read, I can't tell how long AT&T has been aware of the breach or if the info has been circulating 5 years or has been sitting dormant on someone's computer for that long. They would be able to date the breach as 5+ years based on the customers on the list and their info at the time. There is a lot of PII on the list - SSN, names, DOB, addresses, AT&T PIN, etc. ETA: Upon further reading, they've known about 2 weeks and think it came from a vendor's database.

I get text messages for Eula all the time and emails for John. Eula's are spam, but John's are legit business emails. I suspect they are misspelling his email address or leaving off numbers at the end. And then someone uses my number at Gap/Old Navy/Banana Republic. I get an email with their receipt each time. Oh, and I can't get rid of my ex-husband's physical mail. They aren't even forwarded from the old address - companies have taken it upon themselves to find an address and send me his mail.
Those are just a drop in a bucket compared to all the other spam. I'm soooo tired of deleting the spam.

I tip where I am supposed to and I generally tip pretty well, but I would be more than happy for restaurants to raise prices by 18-20% along with removing the tip lines from the credit card slips, provided that amount would go to the staff..

Mine is in the attic now (thank goodness for DH - he willingly gets everything down and puts it back up), but my old house had the best storage space - it was a thin closet that ran the length of the garage. That was my Christmas space there!

They met in the college student union dining area, so, of course, we ate there every time we passed through that area at meal time when I was a kid, and I even walked my own kid through when she toured that school. He told her on their first date that he was going to marry her.

Lots of good suggestions. I also enjoy just walking around the French Quarter and stopping in stores that look interesting. We always leave a morning for the French Market and some time to wander down Royal St.
Also, the MS Gulf Coast is where I grew up, and we end up in Laurel at least once a month when we go to “the country.”

We have multiple parent-child pairs in my company, and the kids are often star performers.
My DD isn’t the least bit interested in a “desk job” and I’m not moving to biology or music, so we’re out of luck, I’m afraid. We would work well together though.

I watched videos before the season. Here's how I am remembering people:
Soda - reminds me of Maryanne. Bubbly Special Ed Teacher Maria - older woman who doesn't really seem older - carried the puzzle piece on her back! Tim - college coach Venus - tiny Bhanu - recent US citizen - got lots of air time Tevin - screams actor Randen - Orlando Ben - musician Hunter - started med school but dropped out to teach; teaches at a boarding school about an hour from me; has set up full Survivor seasons in the summer for his students Liz - Shambo look Tiffany - artist because someone told her she couldn't be an artist Jelinsky - young and goofy (and likes to quit things, apparently) Jem - has survival skills; Victoria Secret manager Kenzie - salon owner - I liked her so much more on the show than in pre-season Charlie - Spencer 2.0 Q - Ole Miss football player; top real estate agent; needs to brag less in the game than he was in pre-season Moriah, not Maria - may be lost without her spreadsheets Jess - rugby player - needs to get her social game together

I am so happy to have 2 Mississippi men on Survivor! It is about time. Q and Hunter seem like they will both be great representatives of the state. They also picked each other out in the preseason - Q had an Ole Miss football bookbag and tattoo and Hunter wore French Camp Academy pants. I'm going to try to go to a watch party at least once this season.

The best thing we as consumers could do would be to only eat there at non-surge pricing times to send a message. I guess that would change their surge times.

I think for the most part the denominations or sects that think Catholics are not Christian just don't understand what Catholics believe. If they read the text for any given mass, they will find the things they believe is necessary for salvation in every service - confession of sins, statement of Jesus as savior, etc. So, given many of these denominations' belief that you only have to profess that Jesus is lord ask for forgiveness and repent once (and really believe it), the Catholics are pretty well covered, as if they participate in and believe their whole mass just one time in their whole life, they're covered. Plus Catholics and many other denominations state their core beliefs frequently in the form of the Nicean or Apostolic Creed, both of which completely agreed with the teachings of the Southern Baptist church I grew up in (once they understand that little-c catholic means universal). I think other denominations get hung up on the parts they don't understand - praying to Saints, transfiguration, confession, the role of the priest in forgiveness, and Papal infallibility.
