I would think about things that you can make ahead + reheat, or that allow for everyone to customize their own a bit. - Tacos - grill chicken and prep meat at home, just reheat and build your own once you’re there. - Lasagna - Build your own sandwiches - you provide lunch meat, people build their own. Lettuce wrap for the carb watcher? Or, on this page, funeral ham sandwiches? - Frozen pizza? (Or takeout pizza one night?) - Buddha bowls - another build your own option. Provide proteins and rice (if desired) and people can pick their own toppings

I love Revel, they have the best customer service too, If you order a small jar and they are out, they will automatically upgrade you for free to the bigger jar. I love the specials they offer, there are some good FB groups out there also for tips and to see what the colors look like and for selling if you buy one you dont like you can trade with someone. Can you post the names of the Facebook groups? Thanks!

I’m in Columbus also. I had to go pack my classroom yesterday and my teammates were asking if I wanted to go to a patio for a drink when we were finished! I had tried to make it very clear that I was social distancing and made a point to request all be sure to wear masks when we had to be in the same space, We’re required to wear masks in the building, but not everyone is taking it seriously. I am hopeful that at least my teammates will get an earful from someone else. As it stands, I’m DREADING going back to school for the reminder of packing up and distributing stuff.
It’s a really uncomfortable position to be the only one in a close knit group where the rest are not taking it seriously. I wasn’t anticipating that feeling or how upset I would be as a result. I am really hope Governor DeWine makes some very pointed statements on Monday, but after giving the green light for places to open, I don’t know how that will play out.

I bought two sets (matching, two packs of 8) at Target on impulse this morning. I’ve been toying with the idea for awhile and figured I have time to wash them right now, may as well give it a try. Any tips? Should I Scotch Guard these before we use them? They are white with a blue stripe, a darker color might be a better option...

I think not sending even an acknowledgement text will look even more like you’re ghosting her. She seems to feel as though the relationship has changed, which, from what you wrote seems to be a fair assumption. If she’s a long term best friend, you’re better off speaking up and saying how you feel. It seems petty to stomp your foot and be upset the gift was “only” wine. Just food for thought!

Not wanting to start a debate, just genuinely curious! It seems as though my friends and family are split about 50/50, curious about the peas!

Hang in there. It gets better. That is how it was here a couple of weeks ago when I went. It took a day to recover emotionally, it was a big day. Now it is nice and organized with a long line to get in but an easy shopping experience with a limited number of people in the store. The line took 37 minutes to get in and by the time I shopped, waited, loaded up, and drove 45 minutes each way it was time to unload, shower, put groceries away and make supper. I didnt mind the line outside because it was beautiful but storms came in fast, bad weather could be worrisome. Stress filled, but calm. I wish inside of Costco was always like that. Steph, was that the Easton Costco? I’m considering a trip next week. Glad to hear it was smooth!

I am so sorry. You’ve been given great, straightforward advice here. If you’re the pea I’m thinking of, I think a few of us might be local-ish. Don’t hesitate to ask for help.

I would think that jeans to a Janis Joplin concert would be completely appropriate. I'm guessing she'll be dressed similarly. I can’t wait to hear what she wore ;-).

I would lean toward no. Parts of it are great, and would totally work. However, the chapter about how she met her husband and how their relationship evolved isn’t one I’d use as a model for positive self-image and how to put yourself and your needs first when looking for a partner. She talks about how they transitioned from a hook up relationship to falling in love. I wonder if you could use some chapters but not others? Or, plan specific discussion questions to talk about how her example of a relationship ISN’T reality?

I would send an email and ask. It seems like there’s more to the story here - how many kids are going on this trip? Perhaps it was an incentive for majorly struggling students.

I would either fly and plan to get in earlier that morning, or drive... It’s about a 5 hour drive, right? I would think drive, spend the night, and drive home the next morning would be way more pleasant than an 8 hour train ride with timing out of your control. Either way, I hope your visit goes well!

I would absolutely encourage study abroad, but definitely not Morocco. Could you offer to look through other options with her and see if there is something that would be a better fit? A J-term or summer option would probably be more fesible for her both distance wise and financially.

Those seem like two very different requests to me. After hours says “I’m not wanting to let my current position know I’m interviewing”, “I don’t have PTO left for the year”, etc. but they’re still interested in a face to face conversation and the position. A phone interview request would be more of a red flag to me.

I read One Day in December from start to finish last night. It was much better than expected. It reminded me of a well-written Emily Giffin.

What do you guys think of these? I had hoped they were a little less in-your-face than the solid metallic, but now I’m not so sure. View AttachmentI don't know if they're any less "in your face metallic", but I think they're adorable! I wasn't planning to do metallic shoes but like those.

I think your best option is to contact a few parents you feel most comfortable with and ask them to stay. Tell them you are hoping they would be willing to stay and be an extra set of eyes, that you will cover their admission. If you don't want to get into confusion of some parents staying/some going, could you ask a friend without kids attending or a family member to help you?

Fudge, or "Bumpy Cake" - there is a bakery called Sanders that stocks them frozen some places (I'm in Ohio, so not sure how common that is elsewhere). Basically a ho-ho sheet cake!
