1. How far out of town do you live? 2. How early do you have to be at work? 3. Will you be able to get a ride home? If it isn't too early, I could probably come and grab you. I'm off of Greenbag Road. Thanks Angie! I'm not too worried about it one way or another. I may be able to hop a ride with my DD that morning--she drives to MTech in the mornnng, but we would have to leave pretty early to get me there and her back to MTech--not much later than riding with DH. I've been texting coworkers, and several are thinking about working from home that day, so o can just join the crowd LIL. BTW, we are practically neighbors--I live in the Grafton-Goshen Road area! Let me know if you do end up needing a ride. We are almost neighbors!

I am assuming this is in WV? Please, please, please tell me it isn't near Morgantown. We are going to visit my dd at school this weekend and I don't want to deal with that. Yep, at the Met on High Street. But it should all be gone by this weekend.

I'd say no, not racist. Northern Aggression refers to the opposition of the Union side to continued slavery and their desire to promote non slave ways of working the land. So in that context it is the opposite of racism. I think it's the downplaying of slavery and racist issues that makes it racist, not that the north was racist. It's the lack of acknowledgment that the south did anything to provoke the war, and that people who call it that are justifying (thats not the right word but I'm on pain meds and can't think of what I'm trying to say) that way of life. Granny on the Beverly hillbillies called it the war of northern aggression. That's the first time I heard it when I was a kid. Some of my grandpa's old friends would say it occasionally and I think I heard my great grandma say it a time or two. ETA: I'm not sure the phrase itself is racist, but I've only ever heard it said seriously by people who were racist. Thank you, I now understand. I was told I wouldn't understand because I'm not a "person of color". Then I got booted from the group.

It is what southerners called the Civil War. Right. I'd never heard that it was racist, though.

I've been told that the phrase "War of Northern Aggression" is racist.
I've not heard the phrase since high school, and all I remember is that that phrase is what many Southerners called the Civil War.
I googled some but I'm obviously looking up the wrong thing because I'm not finding an explanation.

This guy posted that he's trying to find an ancestor. No biggie, until he mentions that he, his dad, and his wife took DNA tests to find this ancestor.
I start reading closer and he says his dad is the son of his wife's half sister.
Doesn't that mean dad is wife's nephew? And the OP is married to his great aunt?
I'm still trying to figure out ages...

One of ds' friends asked me to watch it with her. She said she wants someone to understand. 😢 I don't know if I can watch the scenes everyone says are horrible, but I'll try for her. If you want to preview it... the worst episodes, in my opinion, are 9 & 12. Though 13 is a whole lot of disturbing. I would be careful about watching it with someone else's kid, depending on their age. Because I think there are a lot of parents who are saying NO to it. This girl has been raising herself for years - we've offered to let her live with us but mom doesn't want to give up the money she gets from the state. Mom does come up with a bullshit story whenever she gets a new boyfriend and wants the girl to stay with us for a few days though. She won't say "no".

carpal tunnel doesn't (usually) cause pain unless it's quite severe. numbness and tingling that is alleviated by ice sounds about right, actually. You can also help with the symptoms by stretching the tendons by bending your hand backward on the wrist, putting pressure on the fingertips. There's little to no numbness. It's mostly intense itching/burning, especially between my fingers.

Peripheral neuropathy is like saying you have a headache. It is simply a description of burning/tingling pain in your hand, not the underlying cause. Just like many things can cause a headache, many things can cause peripheral neuropathy- including carpal tunnel syndrome. Go to the doctor, as it could also be due to things like high blood pressure or diabetes, although your MS is a likely culprit. Yeah, that's why I put "lol". My doctor loves to see me, she says I always have such interesting symptoms.

Disclaimer: I have an appointment for Friday.
Okay, I have MS and years ago, a doctor said I had carpal tunnel in my right wrist. I do not have any pain in either wrist.
What I do have is intermittent tingling/itching/burning in my left hand from my fingertips to my wrist. The itching is usually worse between my fingers towards my palm.
The only thing that seems to make it go away is ice - sometimes just holding an ice pack12.org, sometimes I have to fill a bowl and shove my hand in it. Pressure helps temporarily. It isn't usually there in the mornings and is much worse if I've been sewing. And it will go away after a week or two, then be gone for a month or so.
Anyone have symptoms like this? Dh thinks it's probably carpal tunnel, I'd say it has something to do with my MS (I don't remember it happening before my diagnosis), and WebMD say peripheral neuropathy. Lol

If you're 100% certain on the curriculum- buy that sucker today!! Anything you do now will cut down on the fall sticker shock when you start buying books! We homeschool two right now... buying new curriculum is fun, but paying for it isn't! It's Teaching Textbooks - I'm hoping there will be a sale or group buy discount this summer. I've been pretty lucky to get most things at a discount but he'll be in 9th and the sticker shock has already started.

I applied to 3 - the one where my boyfriend was going, the one in my hometown because my grandma was sick, and the one I absolutely loved but had no chance of being able to afford, but wanted that acceptance letter from. I got the acceptance letter, my grandma said she'd disown me if I stayed, and I've been with my boyfriend (now married) since 1990.

right out of the gate?!?!?!! I saw a couple of posts with this hastag and just figured it had something to do with Trump's garish decorating style.... I am not sheltered, and I have heard this sexual term before, but seriously did not go there the first, second or third time I saw it. Am I the only one? (Trying out the new label the admin set up.) We need to take away your Pea cred. You should automatically always go "there"!

I do my shot right before bed, so most of the time, no reaction. When I do have a reaction, I take tylenol and turn up the electric blanket. It takes about an hour to ease and is not fun. However, it means my body is still not "used" to the drugs, so still working. Is it comparable to the "flu-like" side effects of Avonex? I used to freeze and ache all over.

Tecfidera. I started on rebif but the side effects were terrible so I went on Tysabri which was the best drug ever. But then I had to stop taking it because I became JCV+ I get sick easily so my doc has put Tysabri on the "no" list.

I have RRMS and have been using Beta Seron since March 2000. I am currently waiting for Plegerdy to be approved for payment here. One shot every two weeks instead of every two days. There are so many options now. Good luck, let us know what you end up using. How long do the side effects from the shot last?

What treatment medication are you using? I've been using Avonex since I was diagnosed but I'm having another flare up and my doctor said it's time to change. He gave me a list to look over tonight and research. I figured the Peas are as good as Google, maybe better, when it comes to user reviews.

Sorry this happened. I agree with freecharlie about meeting with the neighbor and explaining why you reacted the way you did. This way, he will also know what to do the next time his dog is out and around you. Wanted to add that I'm glad you aren't reporting this as a dog attack when it wasn't. Yes it is. If a dog makes unwanted physical contact with me because his owner was breaking the law (i.e. Committing a crime), I am reporting it to the police. This. How will you feel if this unleashed dog does this again? Only next time, someone does get seriously hurt? I'm not talking about just biting - if I were jumped on/at by a dog, especially if I wasn't expecting it and could brace myself, I would fall and likely be hurt.
