Oh I LOVE his auto-tune stories! LOL The first time I ran across him, I watched it over and over. His laugh - and the DORITO CRUNCH he does sometimes. Make me laugh!

Is anyone else surprised by the amount of oversharing? I was astonished at first. Now, I can scroll right on by most of that. I saw one the other day where a lady was putting on her makeup and doing a play-by-play of what happened when her kids were with their dad. She needs to save all that for her lawyer and the judge. I definitely keep on swiping when I get to the makeup people pouring out their side of the story. Nope. LOL I mostly get cows and farming. Big surprise. My most favorite TikTok account is Homestead Diaries. Oh - it is just a thing of pure beauty. It is a gentleman from Wyoming who still lives and works on his families ranch. He reads an excerpt from his Great Grandmothers daily diary, from 100 years ago.. It is usually a short line or two, but he accompanies it with current video from his ranch. Sometimes it was his Great Grandfather writing, if the Grandmother wasn't able to that day. Simple notes on the weather, intertwined with what was going on in their lives. They dealt with losing several babies shortly after birth, so the undertones of this are heartbreaking... but of course there will be a good ending, since their is the Great Grandson doing the videos. He has THE BEST voice for it too. Give it a listen! If you are on a PC, you can just go right to TikTok without an account. Taylor Barnette - Homestead Diaries

My DIL got a special sock that monitors their heartbeat and sets off an alarm if they stop breathing. That would have saved me a lot of sleepless nights checking to see if the kids were breathing back in the day. The Owlet. I got one for my daughter with their new baby. It's peace of mind for sure!

I like them! I wanted something with just a little more support than a cheap flip flop gives, mainly for comfort. These fit the bill. They are a nice quality and very comfy. They are not super slick, like some of cheap ones.
I went outside on our cement steps in a cheap pair of flip flops once (Old Navy brand) , and didn't get stopped until I was flat on my a$$ on the sidewalk below. These do not do this!

just signed up for a free trial to watch the Friends Reunion on HBO Max and I can’t find it anywhere. Do you for sure have HBO Max? Not just HBO (which used to be called HBO GO and HBO NOW --- you must have the MAX version.

Still those maskholes who go into stores and shops without one. Guess I am a maskhole. Nearly no one is wearing a mask in my area. I don't go out much, but anywhere I have been, there have been almost no one with a mask on. My county is currently at zero cases, and the 7 day average is also at zero.

But sit me on the couch for an hour watching tv and when I go to get up it feels like every single joint has seized! This! I really need to get into stretching, it sounds like. Mine is more if I sit in a kitchen type chair for a long period of time. My poor DH gets so stiff this time of year when he sits for long hours in the tractor and sprayer.

The "cost anxious" one surprised me. The COVID vaccine is free in Australia. How much do you have to pay to get it in the US? And what about other countries - do you have to pay? For us, it is the cost in time. And it is a fine line... Right now, neither my husband or I can afford any down time for being sick. We work everyday of the week right now during planting and spraying time. DH has no time at all to drive 30 minutes to get the vaccine, the time it would take to get it, and then get home and back at work. Then, if there were side effects that knocked him down - that would be catastrophic. I also work everyday, but it would be easier for me to sneak away for an hour or two, but the down time of recovery (if that was necessary) isn't feasible at this moment. We also realize that having Covid could potentially be worse, so it is a calculated risk at this moment for us. We have nearly zero contact outside our bubble at this time. Our life is consumed with getting the seed in the ground. We don't go anywhere and we don't see anyone. This is normal!

In the small town that I live near (population under 2K) we have a local florist. He will do anything you ask But what you describe, to me, sounds like a 'bud vase'. The ones he uses are taller, about 8" tall. But it would hold one flower and a bit of greenery and babies breath. Very inexpensive and he often has a couple ready to go in his cooler that you can pop in and grab. Or he will fix one up quick to your specifications. You will most likely have a cup of coffee with him and a piece of fudge. He will also use anything you bring in, to fill.

Cascade pods. Same as always. Switch to Finish Quantum. The bag has some black/blue/and silver on it. You can get pretty small sized bags of those pods, so get the smallest to try it out. Also get a bottle of Lemi-Shine powder. It will be in with the dishwasher tabs. I pour about 1/4 cup or less in my dishwasher and use the Finish Quantum tabs. I had to quit using the Cascade, as it was just leaving a film all the time. Do you have a water softener? Does it need salt? Do you use a rinse agent in the dishwasher? Is that empty? These are supposed to last at least 20 years! Good luck on that. I do not have luck with long life on dishwashers!

I'd be getting a refund. Make the school eat the cost. I'd be so pissed, I would be on the bandwagon to make them reprint the entire damn yearbook, without the alterations! Oh, I'd be pissed. Our local paper made a huge f*ck up on one of my kids' pictures that was printed in the paper. HUGE f*ck up and I was pissed. I went in there and was very unhappy. They were like "oh we are sorry" .. And I didn't take that well. They weren't going to do anything about it. I made them reprint the entire section (it was for the Senior class photos) the next week and get it right. My kid wasn't the only want that had the major mistake. It was a small town and if they proof read it at all it would have been caught before printing. Oh I am still majorly pissed about this 7 years later - can you tell. They then had the nerve to come out a couple years later and ask if they could take some picture for storm damage photos for the paper. I said to go shove it up their butts and I made sure the entire time they were in the area, they couldn't get a good picture of our building without me in it flipping them off. LOL My poor husband has to reel me in sometimes. These look like school photos, that were taken while the kids were AT school, in clothes they were able to wear TO school. No excuses on this one. The morality police need this officer taken down.

I'm not trying to pay nothing. But I am not trying to pay 30% more on top of the agreed upon price. What would you do? Unless you had the final cost firmly in writing, with no contingencies in the contract - that is just how it is going to be. Right now, with any type of construction, things are going crazy. Really nuts. We have been in the middle of a big expansion in our facilities on our ranch. Luckily, for the main project, we had our materials delivered, and the construction was finished early this spring. We paid in cash (by writing a check) for all of this. We pre-paid a major portion in 2020, and then paid the final payment last week when the construction was finished. If we had not had the materials delivered at the time we did - we would be paying about $500 more than what the original contract was for. There was a line in the contract that allowed them go go back and get more money. We knew of this, and that is why we pushed very hard to get our materials delivered so we would not get pinched for more money. This is with a major national building company. All in all - if we were to build the exact same building, pricing it today, it would be nearly 90K more than what we contracted for last December. IF they could get the building materials. IMO - you are lucky if you get your landscaping done and the price doesn't go up significantly. Paying cash is never an issue for us, but I would be frosted over paying a CC fee... but most places around here won't accept CC, because of the fees they incur.

Dh and I were visiting some friends in NC; their pastor was at their home when we arrived. Do you think this was coincidental to your visit, or was it a setup? I always reply with "I do not discuss religion and politics in polite company" with a smile. If they ask again, I reply with the same answer and the same smile. If they continue, I ask if they do not understand my request, again with a smile. I don't play into their game.

I can totally understand your frustration.
But the Facebook post is a no-go. Delete it. That was wrong on your part. You need to vent - I get that. That is what we are for here! Vent away.
Take the passive-aggressive stuff off Facebook immediately and own that fact that you made a mistake in doing that.

I'm going to get another quote tomorrow. But for tonight, has anyone had to repair/replace their garage door opener assembly? They are not hard to replace. I just bought a new opener- the full kit with opener, remotes, keyless entry, and sensors plus an extension kit because it is an 8' door for $250 in my small town hardware store. I could do it myself, but I will need DH to help lift and hold it. We have replaced before and it doesn't even take that long. No wiring, since you just plug it in when you have it up. Most things are not that hard to fix on your own. YouTube is great if you are unsure of where to start and what you need. For me, the hardest part of most repairs is holding stuff. Like putting up a new light or ceiling fan. If I have someone to hold things for me - it is super easy. I can fix anything from my iPhone to installing a new ceiling fan

We stopped buying Thomas' because they were so darn hard to get apart without ripping them. Now I see they are advertised as easier to split so we might give them another try. Do you know there is a correct way to open an English muffin. You are supposed to use the tines of a fork to go around the circle. Not a knife and not your fingers. The tines of the fork keep the "nooks and crannies" intact. Hmmm... I toast a couple for our breakfast every morning and just use a serrated knife to split them open. I never knew about the fork, but I'm going to keep using my big knife Just quicker. I haven't noticed a big change, but I get the plain ones to make egg sandwiches. I do think some batches are better than others, but it has always been that way. Taste is the same, but some are just a little puffier. I used to get Pepperidge Farms English Muffins, and those were really good. I don't know if they quit making them or I just can't get them in my area. As a rule, I prefer the Pepperidge Farms bread products over everything else. Their hamburger buns are great and I like their farm style oatmeal bread. I have to travel to get it though. My small town near me doesn't carry that brand. I stock up every month or so on things I can't get at my little town store.

Don't go overboard. Space is very limited, and half the crap you think they need, they never use! LOL
An extra long USB cord is great though! My kids laughed at me when I got them one, but they all said it was the best thing ever. I give them as graduation gifts now.
If you have Amazon Prime, you can add them to that. Then things go right to their address. That is so handy!

Text back "new phone, who dis?" i would respond "you're not my boss, applesauce" and block the number. Don't open any links. Ignore and do NOT reply. If your curiosity is beyond that (I know - I understand! LOL) .. get a texting app that gives you a different number and text them from that- but don't open any links on that either. But if you must ask who they are - do it with that. Most of the time they do not respond.

This is why I paid $25 more to go into my nearest little towns hardware store and buy something that I did have in my Amazon cart. I am a big Amazon shopper. I live in a rural area, so it isn't always easy to get what I need locally and of course the cost is almost always more when I shop local. But I really feel like I must try to keep what money I can away from him. I would hope others do the same.
He needs to spend money on his EMPLOYEES! Not a trip to Mars or a new boat.
Plus I got a nice visit in with the store owner. Supported MY town and I had it right away instead of sometime next week.
Shop local - screw Bezos! He is an awful person.

That is nifty! It is not easy to get something to load out in a pasture! These bulls do get loaded a lot, but it is still amazing work by those dogs!
I sorted 10 bulls out of my pasture this week by myself. They were in with 85 cows (and it was time to get them out before the cows started cycling). It took me two days on a Gator, but I got it done! LOL. I didn't have to put them in a trailer, I just sorted them out and pushed them through a gate into a smaller area and then once I had them all sorted out I moved them down the road into a pen until they are needed, towards the middle/end of June. I had help moving them down the road, since I had a couple open spots along the road that needed a warm body.
Our bulls are pretty mellow, for bulls. And love is not in the air yet. LOL

Nothing. Sometimes the kids get me a plant, but I really don't care if they do or not. We are planting, and we are always planting on Mother's Day. Even if we were not, I would never want to go out and eat with the crowds to deal with.
I think it is a commercial holiday and it is nonsense. Women who get their panties in a wad over it are ridiculous.

Now that I went down the Hot Fudge portal... I am going to make the Better Than Sex cake! I always use a jar of Mrs. Richardson's hot fudge on it.. It's so good, and that cake is so rich! I am only good for about 1 piece (but I could probably eat the whole dang thing!) I just make a box mix chocolate cake. Poke decent sized holes in it after it has cooled a few minutes and pour a warmed can of sweetened condensed milk on top. Let cool some more and pour a warm jar of Mrs. Richardson's Hot Fudge on that. Damn. Damn!

On the other hand, as one employee told me, it’s not clear that average Basecamp customers know or care much about Basecamp the company, and no one predicts a mass revolt of the user base. I have never even heard of Basecamp.

I seldom go to Starbucks, but when I do it is a real treat for me. My only customization is for them to add less 'pumps' - as what they normally put in is way to sweet for my tastes. But I love my drink when I get it.
I don't tip there.
I have a very small town local coffee shop that is only open a couple days a week. I tip big there. For example, if my drink is $4.95 - I give her a $10. She makes homemade meals on Sunday and takes them to older folks and shut ins. She uses this money to make those meals. She takes a lot of really good meals to these people.

I used Windows Movie Maker and it was SO awesome and easy to use. Of course they don't put it on Window's PCs anymore, and haven't for years. But I was still able to install it and use it 5 years ago. I am not sure if it is still an option anymore. * I searched for it, and it seems to be a lot of 'free' downloads are now ones that want you to download their trial software and then buy it. That is not the real Windows Movie Maker.
If I had to do one now, I would probably use my iPhone and use the iMovie app. It's also easy to use.

I think common core helps some kids learn, but when you are good at math, it is just exhausting. Oh yes. This is so on point! My kids had a taste of it, especially my youngest. It was officially adopted in Iowa until 2010, but I remember helping the last one a bit with homework in elementary school and I was like WTF are they teaching you! I have had it explained to me, and why it is 'helpful' .. and I get that. I also can see why it can be very confusing to parents, and to a lot of kids. I have to say my kids all did well in math, and I am NOT wired that way. DH is, but I struggle. The common core stuff threw me for loop, but I kept my mouth shut in front of my kids, so that they did not use that as an excuse to balk at it. My first two had the 'good' math teacher all 4 years of high school. My last kid finally got the 'good' math teacher sophomore year, and it was like watching a flower open. What a difference! They all graduated high school with a lot of math credits. One of them didn't have to take a single math class in college (the other two had math heavy engineering majors). TLDR; I think the bottom line is how good the teacher can teach!

Would this be the same type Christian Man that would be Josh Dugger? Josh Dugger who is currently under Federal custody for child porn? Who molested his own sisters? Who actively cheated on his wife?
They need to take a deep look at themselves. They are the problem.
