How many layouts can you scrap in that one day you finally get to actually scrap?
I knew I was a slow scrapper but after reading some other threads I realized I am a tortoise compared to everyone elses hare! I am a simple scrapper and it still takes me anywhere from 1 to 3 days to complete just 1 layout. I have been scrapping since the early 90's and have only completed 5 full themed scrapbooks and the rest are just random pages since I scrap only photos that inspire me at the time. I haven't even touched my digital photos, only the ones that have been hanging out in traditional albums. I think I will have to adopt a hybrid style of traditional scrapping and project life pages to get things moving along faster.

crazy thought but maybe put the tins in the freezer for a bit and it might constrict (hopefully!) enough to let you open them. They are in the freezer now. There is just so little to the bottom pan to grab onto and I have arthritis in my left hand making it extra difficult. I'm definitely putting a ribbon inside if I ever get this thing open!

My DH "projects". He thrives on them but somehow they always involve my help so whenever I plan "me" time he comes up with something that is just imperative I do immediately and it's always a time consuming activity. My parents passing so close together threw me off for 6 years. Now I feel overwhelmed by a messy scrapping area as I go through my supplies and do some purging. I have honestly forgotten what supplies I owned. It's slowly coming back, I'm starting to say "hey this paper would be great for Xyz" and it's a nice feeling. I also miss the inspiration I got from all the magazines and stores, the fun of buying something and going home and using it right away, the time lag from online shopping just isn't the same.

I can't get the tins open!!!!! I've had them for years but seldom used them so I thought I'd dust them off. I can't open those large thin tins. Help please, I've tried prying it open with a screwdriver with no success.

I have been flipping through old albums and noticed a few things about my scrapping/scrapping in general. First is that I always have and always will gravitate towards distressed papers. Even if the color is more on the bright side, I just love how it gives color and pattern without overwhelming the photos. Second is that, despite the season, NEVER use bright christmas green as a background paper or mat. It just looks hideous especially if they are photos of your kids under fluorescent lights! (note to self to go back and redo those hideous layouts...what was I thinking).
So what have you noticed or lessons you have learned from reviewing old albums?

Just cataloged my stamps and found I have only 1 animal, 1 sympathy sentiment and 3 Happy Birthday. I also need some beachy icons other than seashells. I have loads of Thank Yous though. I also lacked yellow patterned paper which I bought Saturday.

I just bought a number of their small clear stamps, they all stamped perfectly. No stamp set was over $2.50, were free shipping and all arrived with in 3 weeks. I am very pleased.

I wonder if you can run some type of small air purifier in your room to help with the horse/barn clothing issues? I'm a substitute so it's not my room, I have been seating him as far from me as possible when we do small groups and keeping a stash of kids benedryl fast melts in my purse. Took me a while until I figured out what was triggering the asthma attacks.

I can avoid the horses (just not this particular student). A rescue inhaler will work well, I just didn't want a strong one like the over the counter primatene was.

I have a savings account separate from my husband for emergencies, I have around $5000. Most of our savings is invested or in 401K etc for retirement. We know there won't be a pension or social security to rely on so that has always been a priority for us. We are in a good place to make savings grow right now. Kids college is nearly paid off, house is paid off. DH has a good job. It feels so good after struggling for so many years.

I have mild asthma, usually smoke induced and I need to ask the Dr for a very mild as needed inhaler. I used to have one long ago but have have forgotten the name of it. Does anyone use this kind of inhaler and know the name of it? With everyone using fire pits on cooler nights it's killing me, I race around the house closing every window at the first sniff of smoke but often it's too late and I sit and wheeze for hours later. I can't attend any parties that will have a fire going or be near a fireplace. I also have a student that occasionally wears clothes to school that he wore to the horse barn and within minutes of his sitting down I block up. I have major horse allergies. I really need to start using an inhaler again.

This goes along with the oldies but goodies thread.
What stamps did you just have to have then found out you never or rarely ever used?
Alphabet stamp sets, I have all sorts from tiny to huge but other than an occasional letter here or there they just sit. I guess I find it tedious to fuss with all those tiny letters, line them up straight then put them away again. I have never used my Prima Finnabar background stamps but just had to have them too. (sigh)

I have been adding to my stamp collection so I decided to catalog them. I realized that the first stamps that I ever bought have been my favorite and most used of my entire stash. I adore my tiny rubber stamps of holly and christmas tree baubles. They still stamp beautifully and have been used hard.
What is your oldest/most cherished stamp?

I found some shammys similar to Sham-wow that I bought and never used, they have been working just fine. I cut a large one down into 3 pieces so I grab a dry one while the others are drying. I wash them out in the sink after every stamping session. I also used it along with my homemade stamp cleaner.

I couldn't resist the Christmas Delivery paper either, I have tons of Christmas paper but that line will work perfectly with my girls Christmas dresses when they were 2! I have been holding off scrapping those photos just waiting for the right papers and my kids are in their 20's now!

I bought these washi too, they seem so versatile so that justified the purchase. My freeze was just broken by Joann's 50% of stamping supplies and the extra 20% off entire purchase coupon this week!

I have been using my Versafine pad so much lately that I was thinking I need to buy a reinker for it. How long do these pads last? Which do you prefer, buying the reinker or just replace the entire pad for cheap.

I scrap for a creative outlet more than memory keeping. I've always been a crafter but never really finding my niche until scrapbooking. Unlike most crafts, scrapping doesn't become obsolete after a few projects. It has a useful purpose outside of my need for artistic expression. I don't want to chuck everything and move on to a new hobby after a few tries. Heck I've been at it for over 15 years and I still enjoy it. Crocheting is the only other hobby that even comes remotely close to scrapping for me, but you can only use so many afghans and the retail therapy aspect isn't nearly as much fun!

Woke up at 5:30, tossed in some wash then started cleaning/organizing my scrap area if that counts. Found more paper I had pulled for the vacation album I started 4 years ago and most of my blue/green/gray cardstock that I couldn't figure out where it had gotten to. When I get back this morning I have to start packing for the beach and celebrating my DD birthday. I did stamp a gift card for her present.

I dislike pink. My girls dislike pink. I own very little pink and will avoid most lines that contain it. I find pink hard to use. I can't tell you how many times I look at a line and think "wow I really like the designs if only it were offered in a different color scheme".

I just found a bag of rubber stamps I had bought and misplaced 2 months ago! Where were they? Right next to my scrap table but I didn't look there because I stamp/emboss in the utility side of the basement on top of my chest freezer.
