I have two "can" taco soup recipes that I really like. The first recipe is my favorite. It's been my go to quick meal for years. And the second one was brought to me by a friend after surgery. 6 can taco soup 1 can chicken broth 1 can rotel (we like mild) 1 can chicken or one chicken breast (Costco makes a good canned chicken) 1 can corn undrained 1 can ranch style beans (don't substitute this is where the soup gets the flavor) 1 can Campbells's condensed chicken and rice soup (don't add water)
Six sisters 8 can soup 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed 1 (15 oz) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, drained 1 (15 oz) can sweet corn, drained 1 (12.5 oz) can chicken breast, drained or one chicken breast 1 (10.75 oz) can cream of chicken soup 1 (10 oz) can green enchilada sauce 1 (14 oz) can chicken broth 1 (1 oz) packet taco seasoning

I made this tonight and each of my family members told me to keep it on the list of meals to make again. I added a bag of shredded cabbage, and carrots (cole slaw)
Korean Beef 1 lb lean ground beef 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup soy sauce 1 tablespoon sesame oil 3 cloves garlic, minced 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger 1/2 - 1 teaspoon crushed red peppers (depending on how spicy you like it) salt and pepper 1 bunch green onions, diced Rice, cooked Instructions Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brown beef with garlic in the sesame oil. Drain most of the fat and add brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, salt and pepper and red peppers. Simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors. Serve over steamed rice and top with green onions.

I haven't tried them in my Instant pot yet. But every morning for breakfast I put 2 cups of rolled oats 4 cups of water and a pinch of salt in a big glass bowl and throw it in the microwave for 5 minutes. Perfect, easy breakfast every morning. Jen

Depends on the traffic. Waikiki has horrible traffic. I actually like the Honolulu airport for strolling around though Goods shops? There are worse places to be stuck at for 4 hours. Jen

This is totally my fault. I should have checked my emails. I just noticed that Hawaiian Airlines changed our flight. It departs two hours earlier. Which means I we have a 4 hour layover in Honolulu. I called today to see if they could put us on an earlier flight which they could but it would be a $30 change fee PLUS the difference of the cost of the airfare. They gave us 14 days to switch after they sent the email out and it's been 28 days. So they won't help me.
I wonder if 4 hours in Honolulu is long enough time to show the kids Waikiki? Jen

I don't remember any of the Brown's kids going to a Mormon college. And don't think the Mormon church would allow any of the Brown's kids into Mormon universities since the church has made it clear that they want to stay clear of being connected to Pologamy. The church told Maddie that she couldn't join the Mormon church unless she denounces Pologamy and her family. Jen I do remember that about Maddie being disappointed the Mormon church wouldn't let her join. I must have my wires crossed. I need to take better spreadsheet notes. I can't remember why I walked into a room or a recipe I have been making from memory for 20 years. But I have all the useless information about the Brown family covered. It's pathetic! jen

Mariah does not attend a Mormon University. She attends Westminster College it's a private liberal arts college located near Salt Lake City. Jen I must have her confused with one of the other daughters. I could have sworn there was a whole episode devoted to them choosing schools and she chose a Mormon university. I think some people who are ultra religious may be less accepting of their own sexuality at first, maybe? The Browns, depending on the source your read, are FLDS or AUB. I have read both but Meri has stated they are FLDS on Twitter. Mariah has always expressed deep feeling and belief in their religion along with attending a Mormon university. None of these groups are typically accepting of gay members and don't support LGBT rights. So Mariah's announcement surprises me due to her previous statements and actions regarding her faith. Hopefully that clears things up lest this thread go down into "OMG you don't think someone can be religious and gay?!" territory. Mariah does not attend a Mormon University. She attends Westminster College it's a private liberal arts college located near Salt Lake City. Jen

We have one on the front door. I was against it at first, I think they look tacky on the front door. But I have come around and really like it. The elderly couple that lived in our house before us cautioned us how easy it is to lock yourself out of the house. Apparently they were out on the deck at 5am in 20 degree weather (smoke break) and accidentally locked the door behind them and were stuck on the deck for an hour before a jogger ran by. Ours is a deadbolt. jen

I found a really good series on Amazon Prime last night. It's called "Good Girls Revolt". It takes place in the latter part of the 1960's at a magazine office like "Time" and is about how women aren't allowed to be reporters on that magazine but are "researchers", and how they do the work of reporters, but only the men are allowed to write the stories and get the credit and their names in print. It's about the beginning of the women's movement. Very well done. I've watched about 6 episodes so far and I'm loving it. I just read yesterday that they are NOT making a second season. jen

I actually thought she handled it really well. It's better than trying to sing and being off. Good for her for not thinking could compete with not being able to hear herself sing.

Thanks for sharing. One memory that a friend asked me about the other day was when I was in the ER and I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. when the Dr said the words, "you have a brain tumor" I was relieved. I was filled with peace and wasn't afraid at all. Like the Dr had just given me the most beautiful gift, I wasn't crazy, I wasn't lazy, I wasn't making it up there was something serious wrong with me. After having daily migraines for a year and a half and having three Drs tell me I just needed to lose weight. The Dr was my savior. Sad to look back and remember my life during that time. And the fact Death seamed like better option to the pain I was experiencing. Jen

You can also stabilize whipped cream by using powdered sugar instead of granulated to sweeten it. It works great. I had a little leftover whipped cream that lasted over a week in my fridge without breaking down that I used powdered sugar in. I will second this. Powdered sugar is the secret to whipped cream that stays stiff. jen

Did you try the health insurances website? I would give them a call and have them look it up. I have to have a MRI in January. I called my Dr's office to make sure they accepted the new insurance that I selected from the market place. Good news is they do but I have to have a referral which I haven't quite figured out how I am going it get it. And why on earth my Neurosurgeon need a referral to do a MRI on a brain tumor patient is beyond me. I did notice on our new insurance website that you can purchase insurance directly through them and skip the marketplace. It was the same price. Jen
