I'd love to have a chance. I'm currently doing a monthly memory keeping journal using stickers, stamps and die cuts to keep everything really flat. These would be great for the month of December.

Lantern and/or flashlights. Especially for those trips to the outhouse after dark.
Something to do if it rains - cards, board game.
Binoculars.

I don't think the price is horrible. However, I wish the consumable supplies were a separate, add on option. I have inks, watercolors, etc. Also, I don't need your candy, camp swag and other stuff that will end up in the landfill. I'd much rather have a stripped down class kit and a lower price.
I also hate that most of these online retreats use only Facebook. I don't have an account and won't get one.
That being said, I would still ante up for it if it was a theme that I would use after the class. From the small peeks I've seen, those are not stamps I'd likely ever use again.

2 dogs 4 walks a day (unless it's pouring rain) First walk of the day is about 30 minutes, the rest about 15 - 20 minutes We have our routine walks around the neighborhood. On Sunday morning, we take a different route and the dogs ALWAYS know when it's Sunday and start in that direction. There is a metro park about a mile from the house. We go there on occasion but the dogs act totally uncivilized. It's embarrassing. My dogs love the snow. The cold doesn't bother them either. Rain is an issue - they'll go out in it but they look miserable and won't actually "do" anything. I stalk the Minutecast on rainy days to find any weather breaks. Soaking wet, long haired dogs still with full bladders is not my favorite.

Friday AMA: 1. The first batch of 2021 releases are showing up at retailers. Which NEW COLLECTION or product(s) are you most excited about? Which ones are already on your must-buy list?
I did get sucked into a purchase of some items from the Carta Bella Flower Garden release. I thought they might make some bright cheery cards for people dealing with cancer.
2. How has the PAST YEAR affected your scrappy ways? With few to no events happening, has your focus shifted? Are you documenting different photos nowadays? How does 2020-2021 look in comparison to your previous years of scrapbooking?
I'm a cardmaker and several of my go-to organizations stopped collecting cards during the pandemic. For instance, I usually make about 150 valentine cards for 2 organizations. Neither were collecting cards this year. So I'm having to refocus on other organizations.
In November, 2019, my friends and I held a papercrafting event to benefit the local humane society. It was really successful and we had plans to do two events in 2020. Obviously those didn't happen. But we are beginning to think about a holiday event for this year. And I'm buying and planning projects like it might happen.
3. How are you making this stay-at-home crop EXTRA FUN for yourself? Are you playing a TV show or movie in the background today? Listening to a podcast or music? Got some treats from the store? Got a furry companion by your side?
I'll probably listen to some podcasts, did my grocery pickup this morning (although there's nothing particularly treat-like there) and I'll have 2 furry companions nosing around.

Thursday AMA: 1. Which PROJECT are you most looking forward to working on during the crop?
First and foremost is making a birthday card for a local boy who is stuck at home for many months while recovering from MIS-C. His mother is hoping for 1,100 cards. Next, I'm back to making cards for Cardz for Kidz.
2. Do you have any good news to share for COVID-19 IMMUNITY? Did you already get a shot? Have your loved ones been vaccinated? Do you have an upcoming appointment or timeline when you'll be able to get the vaccine?
My second vaccine is scheduled for next Thursday!
3. What are you CURRENTLY drawn to in the world of scrapbooking, cardmaking and/or crafting? Do you have a designer or brand you're loving at the moment? Is there a special technique you've gotten into? Have you been meaning to try out sketch or product?
Since I'm all kid cards all the time, it's lots of cutesy, punny stuff. I've got a baseball card in process and next will be an 'egg-cellent' card featuring bacon and eggs. I did try some mixed media stuff as part of the 100 Day Project just to discover I am not a mixed media person. It's the cleaning up part that is off-putting to me.

Thank you for the reminder. I cleaned out my shelves last night and now have a big box of non-expired food to take to the local food pantry. I bought canned goods and extra pasta to have on hand just in case. It's time for them to go fill some bellies.

Last time in a restaurant - December, 2019
Last time eating out - March 7, 2020 but it was a fund raiser in a banquet hall so it doesn't count as a great dining experience. My friends and I had a lot of fun so I was glad my last time out was memorable!

I'm participating in the 100 Day Project and my focus is 15 minutes of crafting a day (that can be anything I choose it to be - actual crafting, watching a technique on Youtube, organizing, whatever as long as it involves crafty stuff). A limited time gets me in my chair - I may only do my 15 minutes or stay much longer. It's interesting that this daily focus has me thinking about crafting long after I've left my chair. Next step? Next project? What colors? What stamp set? And that thinking/planning has me excited to sit back down again.

How’s everyone doing with this so far? I’m doing a photo/journal post every day and so far I’m having fun. I just posted days 13 and 14 on Instagram. I kinda look forward to it at the end of the day. My Selfy is getting a workout! I need to make sure I don’t run out of photo paper before the 100 days are up! I'm happy to report I've done something creative every day so far. It's the longest I've kept with this project and my 4th time to attempt it. There has been a day or two when I've struggled to get in my minimum of 15 minutes for it to count (my rule) but most days it's far more time. And I'm enjoying the creativity. One day was spent playing with stencils and paste and I thoroughly enjoyed making a mess. It's just what I've needed as this winter drags on.

My mom used to make these and we kids thought they were pretty fancy. Mix together mayo, diced onions and shredded mozzarella. Place a scoop of this mixture on a small round piece of rye bread. Place under broiler until the cheese was browned and melting.

The cards keep rolling in! Four today and one Saturday. Three of today's cards had a postmark of 12/7 so, if that is any indication of the mailing time for my cards, you should be seeing them soon. And a special note to papercrafteradvocate, I-O.

First of all, thank you for the envelopes of holiday joy! I haven't opened any yet - I'm saving them for Christmas Eve/Christmas Day.
Next, my cards are finally all postal. I mailed the international early December and sent my first batch of domestic ones soon after. I was congratulating myself on being so prompt and then I slipped on the ice, tweaking my back and reaggravating my sciatica. For over a week I was unable to sit and craft. Needless to say, I got behind. So for the recipients of the last 11 cards that I just mailed, I'm sorry your merry messages will likely be late. I'll try to do better next year.

Katie Couric interviews Neal Katyal, who is brilliant. He explains the litigation. Worth your time if you are confused, or have questions. www.instagram.com/tv/CHY1j-slvmD/BTW, he has a series of videos on Instagram about the legal issues. Thank you for posting this link. It was great.

I was in the middle of a dental implant when covid hit. Since offices have opened up, I have been to the oral surgeon twice and my dentist 3 times. Although I've used that oral surgeon for two implants, I won't be going back. On my last visit, I had to remind him twice to put his mask up. He was going between 2 rooms and every time he came into mine, his mask was down.
My dentist's office is amazing. You fill out covid forms online and call or text when you arrive. When it's time to come in, they text you, meet you at the door, take your temperature and put you in a room. The hygienist wears a hair covering, mask and face shield along with her normal scrubs. You are asked to rinse with a mouthwash. There is a portable air purifier-thing running in each room. She is still doing the ultrasonic cleaning but this last time there was a second suction tube in my mouth to suck out the debris.
My dentist wears the same protective equipment and has the same air purifier.
I was initially freaked out about going to my dentist but I'm very comfortable about the procedures they've put in place. I think it's much safer/cleaner than my GP's office.

Yes, you can definitely snip them apart.
The only caution I would offer is to be careful not to cut apart dies that are meant to be connected. Examples would be a die that cuts both the inside and outside of a wreath or one that cuts the exterior of a mug as well as the interior of the handle . Usually the metal connectors are thicker if they are not meant to be cut apart, but not always.

I've always had a problem with the stylus staying in the groove of any scoring board I used. So I repurposed an old Fiskars trimmer by removing the orange cutting blade and replacing it with a black scoring blade. Works perfectly for me.
