Adobe Reader is just that - a READER. You can't modify. You need the full version of Adobe Acrobat to do that. Sorry. So even though I can edit the actual text I can't edit the size?

I am trying to edit a document that I downloaded and I can't figure out how to change the font size.
The instructions that came with the document says "How to alter the size of the name in the logo: To modify the font size in the logo, press CTRL+E (CMD+E on Mac) while selecting the text. The text dialog box will appear, allowing you to modify the size."
However when I do CMD+E all it does is bring up a box that says properties and says my name for the author. I can't figure out how to get to the font size.
We are leaving to set up for DS's party in an hour and I need to print these! (yes I know I shouldn't have left it for the last minute, but I figured it would be an easy thing to do!)

Or this in Mountain ViewShoot looking at all this we should rent our house out for 6 months and live somewhere else! Houses in my town with similar bedrooms/square feet are all renting at $6,000-$12,000 a month! That is way more than our mortgage + property taxes!

Ended up going to urgent care because I couldn't get a regular appointment. Doctor said sinus infection. Was supposed to call in antibiotics and cough syrup with codeine for my cough. I had dh pick it up on his way home - since it was nap time and I needed to get the kids home. Poor guy had to wait forever and they only gave him the antibiotics. We live 30-45 (depending on traffic) from the pharmacy, so I have to wait till tomorrow to try and get it. Do you have any sort of store nearby that might have vaporub he could run out for? I've never, ever gotten any relief from any kind of cough medicine, no matter what was in it. But with some vaporub on my chest, then the sheet pulled up over my nose, and a few deep breaths, I can usually get a cough quieted enough to get to sleep. (Even if he can't get it tonight, maybe he can grab that at the pharmacy, too... I trust it is safe for pregnancy since it's basically topical, but I'm not 100% on that.) Feel better soon! Thank you for the suggestion. I may try some essential oils on my chest tonight, I hadn't thought of that. Unfortunately the nearest store that is open is still at least 25-30 minutes away. We live in the boonies!

I'm reading Grethen Rubin's book, "Better than Before", and I'm finding it really helpful. I need to mull over some of the ideas that I like and figure out how to apply them. It's a very close look at habits, how we form them, how we keep or break them, and why. She stresses that different tactics work with different people, and talks about how to recognize what motivates you. I'd recommend for developing good habits, and breaking bad ones. ETA What I like about the book is that it explains why so many attempts or programs don't work for me. It's making me rethink my approach to a healthy lifestyle. This sounds super interesting! I would love to hear more, I'm in a fitness challenge and we are supposed to pick a book to read to help with our goals and this sounds like a great option!

Check that it was all taxes. Dh get a bonus in January, say it's 700, about 230 gets deposited, the rest goes between taxes and contributions to his 401k. It's nice he maxes out regular 401k contributions at some point during the summer, so bring home pay goes up at some point during the summer. If your dh has employee matching for 401k then it's better to not max out over the summer - you lose that matching for half the year. I decrease my percent so I get the matching every month of the year. That doesn't make sense. He has a certain amount that he can contribute to his 401k every year, his company matches a certain percentage of that total amount, regardless of when it happens. Unless I'm missing something.

Dh gets a bonus about once a month (normally the 1st pay of the month). This one was a decent sized one. But that must have put him in a much higher tax bracket. There was 3x the amount taken out for this check. Check that it was all taxes. Dh get a bonus in January, say it's 700, about 230 gets deposited, the rest goes between taxes and contributions to his 401k. Bad cold like symptoms since Friday. Tired, coughing, running nose. Nose started clear had moved to colored. Lots of coughing, of course worse at night - to The point that I have to have a cough drop in my mouth to be able to sleep. The most annoying part is that the right side of my head hurts - upper right side of my jaw, right ear, right side of my throat, when I cough hurts on my right side more. Sinuses along right cheek bone are tender to the touch.
Add in 32 weeks pregnant so there are lots of meds I can't take.
Any ideas?

Don't hate me....but I have already seen Episodes 1 and 2 of season 2! A friend of a friend works for Starz.
Some of the scenes still had green screen parts, but they were fantastic!
So excited for April!

I love to bake cakes!! I have a bunch that I have been happy with on my things I have made Pinterest board The Smitten Kitchen Chocolate peanut butter cake is to die for. It is what everyone in my family requests I make for their birthdays. I make the cake as stated, make sure to freeze the layers before frosting, they are very, very moist and make a mess if you don't freeze them. I usually use the amazing peanut butter frosting between the layers, nice and thick. And then I use the chocolate frosting from the Annie Eats triple chocolate cupcakes to frost the outside. Just made it this past weekend for ds's 3rd birthday. So delicious!!

We just started them for our kids and our family this past Thanksgiving. We drove out to Colorado from California and back. Along the way we hit Arches National Park and then the Grand Canyon. I drove dh nuts trying to get all the ones they had at the grand canyon - there were something like 6 different ones! Loving it!

I'll let you guys know--I just ordered one without hesitation. I've been a fool for basic grey since day one. I still have pieces of motifica I'm hoarding! For US, it was $10.95 flat shipping. I probably do too. I know I have a ton of Black Tie and Urban Couture. I have 4 large cropper hoppers full...and I would guess it has been at least 4 years since I have bought any of their paper...I guess I should try using it...

Mil and fil have scheduled themselves to be out of town when each of my kids have been due. With dd they came back the day I was released from the hospital. With ds he was 10 days early and thank goodness they hadn't left on their trip yet since my parents were living 5 hours away and we needed someone to watch dd. They are scheduled to be away for two weeks again when this current baby is due. With my first they claimed it was because dd was my parents first grandchild and they wanted my parents to get to enjoy brunt grandparents. Yet with both of their daughters they were with them for almost a month surrounding baby being born. Daughters do live a couple states away, we live 15 minutes away. Once we are home we are expected to bring the baby there, they rarely come to our house.
With my first the parents from the kindergarten class I was teaching organized a meal train and we had meals brought a couple times a week for the first month. But we live in a fairly rural (for the bay area) place so people rarely cone to our house anyways. So not many visitors.

Thank you for all the responses. I went to three different grocery stores (two different chains and a specialty) and couldn't find the Baker's German chocolate. But I found a traditional looking recipe in The New Best Recipes cookbook that I will use. No chocolate buttercream, just the coconut stuff.
I was asking since it isn't something I have made before. Plus we have been out of town for the last 5 days and I was trying to figure out how to make it during nap time today - and my other recipes don't take much thought. But it seems clear that won't do! So off to bake!

I've never had German Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, only the caramel, coconut, pecan one. The cake part of German Chocolate is not as chocolatey and rich as a regular chocolate cake. Maybe to take into account the sweetness of the frosting? I'm sure the cake would be fine though. In German Chocolate Cake it's really all about the frosting! Most of the recipes I had going on Pinterest used the coconut pecan between the layers and the chocolate on the outside with the top filled in with the coconut pecan stuff. Abd I thought it was more along the lines of what you were saying...part of why I was asking!

I'm in charge of dessert for my book club tomorrow night. All the women are significantly older than me (I'm early 30's, next youngest is 65) and they are all great cooks. It's one of the ladies 80th birthday so I've been asked to make her favorite, German chocolate cake. I don't like German chocolate cake (not a fan of coconut) so I've never had more than a few bites abd dint know the flavors that well.
My question,I have a fabulous chocolate cake recipe and another great chocolate frosting recipe. Can I use those with a recipe that I found for the coconut pecan frosting and call it a day? Or is there a particular type of chocolate cake and chocolate frosting that it should be paired with?
Thanks!

If there's a fashion capital, I live about the furthest from it.
My brother bought me a pair of Uggs for Christmas. I guess I should ask first off if these are still IN. Secondly, I'm not 19. I do see some younger peoples tucking their pants into their boots, but ya know...as I said, I'm not 19.
I have boot cut jeans. (still ok?) Is it ok to wear them over my UGGS?
Scarves: I often like wearing scarves. I try folding them in cute ways. Then I look at myself in the mirror and the TAG has jumped out in front. Do you all cut it out? How do you prevent this?
Crocs: Are these OUT? I have two pair that I like to wear in the summer and I haven't found something similar yet that I like as well. Suggestions? Are they out where you live?
DANSKO'S : just asking, are those OUT where you live. Just wondering. I don't have any but wondering. LOL Granted I dont think of myself as super fashionable, that being said I have annoying feet. So I wear flip flops as much as the weather allows and even in northern California that is most of the year. The rest of the time I am either in running shoes or Uggs. I have the mid calf Uggs and I wear my boot cut jeans over them. Scarves cut off the tags. Crocs, only cute on kids. Dansko, hospital or old lady shoes.

My 4.5 is a great eater, at the moment she is obsessed with black beans, which no one else in the house really likes. But since they are Good for her I try to serve her them at least once a week.
Ds is almost three and can be picky, I always make sure there is at least one thing on the table he likes. Tonight that was blueberries, that was mostly what he ate tonight. But he also had a couple bites of sausage and kale and black beans. My rule is they need to try at least one decent sized bite of everything offered, if they still don't "like" it, they don't have to eat anymore. Snack options are cut up fruit or veggies, once a day apiece of cheese and a couple pretzels or homemade vegan banana muffins - since lunch is usually around noon and dinner isn't till seve Ds needs something after nap to make it to dinner.
When I'm not pregnant we eat fairly paleo, with some milk and cheese thrown in for the kids and they really don't seem to mind. Once every two weeks we might do Annie's Mac and cheese as a treat, not stuff like that is far from normal. Also we rarely go out to eat since the nearest restaurant is 30ish minutes away.
I think it is all about what is offered and at least for my kids, if they are hungry enough they will eat it.

I'm pretty sure my parents love my husband more than they love me. me too! Even when they realized that his religious and political views were very, very different from theirs. They love him more than I could ever imagine. Now his mother, I will never be skinny enough, respectful enough, or have a high enough degree to please her (I have a masters). Doesn't matter that she loves her daughter's dh that is a complete loser. Oh, well. At least my family loves dh!

The place we stay in Yosemite every summer just got internet a couple years ago and it is only accessible in one room of the hotel. I check my email maybe once a day when we are there, usually just a quick check to make sure there isn't anything I have to deal with them I'm good.

We borrowed some money to buy the property next door from dh's parents 5 years ago. Verbally a year or so later they forgave 1/2 (gave dh's sister that amount of money) of it and then two years ago verbally forgave the rest (after giving that much to his sister again). They are currently in fine health, but in their mid-70's and I am 99% sure that we are the only ones that have a legal document for the loaning of money. My guess is with his sister they just wired her the funds. I could see that sister later on coming back after they die and saying that we should get that much less than them because of the document - even though they were already given that amount plus a bunch more without expectation of re-payment.
Side note - we could write them a check for the amount today no problem, but it seems like his dad wants to keep things "fair" even though dh makes a lot more than my sil. And like I said they are constantly bailing them out with funds that will never be repaid, so we don't feel bad about it. And inlaws don't "need" the money.
So what do we need to get to show prof of payment/forgiveness of the loan?

Nope - Are they hard, or chewy? candy corn = hard and without any real flavor. Yuck if they are hard! Fresh ones are more chewy than hard.
