Your positive attitude thru all of this has been amazing. I'm sure it must be weird knowing it will always be there, but what a relief to know that it can always be there and not affect really affect you.
I might have a crush on your Dr too 😉. You really got a good one!

I borrowed my best friends tea length, off the rack wedding dress when I eloped. I had it cleaned and sent it back to her.

Happy Birthday boys!
They are cuties for sure.
Lol, now you know how the phrase eating us out of house and home came about. There was a family that lived on our street when I was little that had 11 boys! Many of them were Irish twins and none were more than 18 months apart. I remember my mom talking about what their grocery shopping must have looked like.

I'm so glad to hear you are finding your days to be a bit easier. Hard decisions we have to make for loved ones can really tear at your heart. I hope that knowing your Queen is being taken care of will remind you to also pay attention to your own care.
The peas excel at looking after each other and never fail to find the words of support when someone in the pod needs it!
Wishing you joyful visits with Queen.

My mom's last siblings passed away, so my little sister and I brought her out to Seattle for her service. Saturday morning, while waiting to meet up with my cousins, we took mom for a walk. She is a tiny little thing, 4'9" & 90 lbs, but very spritely and totally with it.
We saw a Trader Joes, and mom wanted to go in. My sister was holding her arm as she stepped up on the curb, and then she let go of her. What we didn't see was the was a raised edge where the curb met the sidewalk. Mom stumbled on that and landed face first on the sidewalk. She has a little cut on her eyebrow that quickly turned into a HUGE goose egg. With the cut being on her eyebrow it was bleeding profusely. The security guards rushed over and offered to call an ambulance at which point my mother yelled at them. Lol. One of them went into TJ and the manager came out with a first aid kit. We got her cleaned up and TJ manager called an Uber for us to go to the emergency room. By the that time the mother's petite Danish nose looked like a Roman gladiators nose. 😁
Everything checked out fine after xrays and a CTscan, and we were on our way.
She never even shed a tear. She is such a trooper.
When she woke up yesterday, the goose egg was gone and she has a glorious shiner! It's in the shape of a diamond, not unlike Harley Quinn. Thankfully she doesn't hurt, because we can't stop giggling.
Update: She didn't want us to tell our dad about the fall, because she thought it would be all cleared up by the time she went home today. Yeah, right. In the meantime we had already told him, and of course it wasn't all healed up today. The colour has gotten crazier with each passing day, and this morning she was sporting a green and purple diamond shape on her eye, along with a black smudge under the other eye and a thick black line with a thick purple line above it across her nose. When my sister got her back home tonight, my dad was acting like we hadn't told him about it. Of course he was acting very concerned, and asking her what happened. My mother told him that my sister pushed her down while I sat back and laughed. LOL! 😂 I do love that crazy mom of mine.

Damn, there are going to be a lot of deaths from this one. Reading reports of a lot of apartment buildings collapsing and a lot of Syrian refugees being affected.

I saw my cousin today who has spent her entire career working on FAS. She is the person that developed the list of various markers identifying FAS, as well as helped set up the programs that your son is in. I told her about the your son and how is improving. She was thrilled to hear that you sought out the help he needs, and asked me to let you know that setbacks are expected, that the staff is well trained in these setbacks, and that thru the setbacks they can really hone in on an individuals unique issues and help them cope long term.

One of the first meals we have while in England is fish and chips with mushy peas. When we were there in November, the place we went to served the worst mushy peas ever! No joke, paste would have tasted better. As we looked around, we noticed that no one ate their mushy peas. The fish and chips were outstanding though!

We typically watch a show every couple of days, but Dh and I plowed thru Wednesday in 3 days! I'll never admit to how many times I went back and watched the dance scene. 😆 KikiPea, darling earrings and perfect for Mardi Gras!

snoopy , you need to start naming these guys, so that I will stop. 😈 Charles the bear and Lawrence the bunny are fabulous. I love that they are posable. It’s so much easier to let you name them! I just can't help myself. 😁 I was the kid that used to imagine what animal houses looked like in terms of decor. Think acorn cups sitting on a squirrel 's dining room table kind of thing. Which lead to me naming animals I regularly saw on our property.

Way back 40 years ago in the Army, I was friends with a guy from Punxsutawney. He was so over the whole groundhog thing. 😁
I always figured it was a way for Punxsutawney to stay relevant.
