I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my aunt to ALS a couple of years ago. She was in her early 50's. I wish there would be a cure or effective treatments for this awful disease. My condolences to you and your family.

I would love to get the CM trimmer that everybody is raving about but I don't know a CM consultant. Would someone give me the name of one in Canada? Thanks.

Grammadee, what other card kits do you subscribe to? I'm getting a bit tired of SSS card kits and was thinking about subscribing to another card kit.
A lot of good feedback for SSS customer service and hopefully they take your suggestions to heart.

I like it but not enough. I have postage like dies already. The stamp set is nice but I don't "love" it since I have other stamp sets with houses too. I'm still on the fence whether to get it.

I hate posts that try to guilt you in " sharing" or "repost" something.

I'm a registered nurse but on maternity leave. I am on a few nursing forums and FB groups, COVID-19 is REAL. The personal stories that I've read are heart-wrenching and a lot of healthcare workers will have PTSD when this is over. My heart breaks because so many of them are working long hours and with very limited PPE. Some of them have moved out of their homes so they don't risk infecting their young children or vulnerable family members. The sacrifices that these people make makes me extremely upset when false propaganda that COVID-19 isn't that bad and just hyped out by the media. It is more devastating when it comes from other healthcare professionals who should know better. I don't care what your politics are, there are people dying out there from the coronavirus and families grieving. Don't add to their pain.

Hugs. I'm so sorry for all your losses. Your sister may be overwhelmed right now and just doesn't know what to do. She is also in the grieving process. Losing a loved one is hard in "normal" times but with everything with the pandemic...it is extremely hard especially making funeral plans. Many families do what is "needed" and have memorial services at a later time. I am devastated by the huge losses of lives in our nursing homes to COVID-19 in Canada. We need to do better for our older loved ones.

Yes, it seems new blending tools are the "in" thing now for every company to come up with their own version of it.

I saw one of Jennifer McGuire's new video and she introduce Altenew's new cutting mat. I thought to myself "how many mats do we need?" I got the Tim Holtz media mat, and for reason, I thought I needed the Waffle Flower watercolor mat. Then I heard about the mat/magnets system used for stencils. Now, there is a smaller size Waffle Flower watercolor mat. There are also new dye ink pads from Inkon3 and from Concord and 9th. Do you find that a lot of companies are coming up with very similar tools? Waffle Flower have nesting dies similar to Hero Arts, SSS,Spellbinders etc.

My MIL passed away at the beginning of November 2019, and we spent this morning which was "Family Day" in Alberta, Canada, cleaning out her closets and donating her clothes and shoes to Goodwill. There were ALOT of stuff that it made me think about my clothes, shoes, and especially my crafting supplies. I need to go through them and get rid of supplies that I haven't used in at least a year. I need so need to declutter. Also to stop watching Jennifer McGuire videos too.

I find it weird that she is living with her abuser's best friend too. Not a lot of information, and it is disturbing that the abuse have gone on for years and no one believing her.

It is great that your book club worked out so well and you made some good friends. You have inspired me to look at possibly joining a book club near me. Thanks for the inspiration!

Got my December kit today. Also received email from SSS today too, saying that I should receive the kit any day now.
I don't know if you still want to borrow the gnome die, Grammadee. Let me know and I will be happy to send it to you.
Still wary about buying stuff from though.

Just read comments from the Chelsea person on Becky's Instagram...way to tell it to Becky on how most of the people feel about how she is "cultivating" her business. But obviously, Becky is totally ignoring the advice.

Sorry, Grammadee, I was hoping to get my kit in time to lend you the gnome die. I will check my PayPal account to see if there was a refund. They never replied so I don't know if it is still being shipped or was refunded.

Personally, I like to stamp out my sentiment as I make the cards. I can see how it is easier or faster to have pre-stamped ones. I never really figure out which sentiment I want to use until I am finish with making the card. Also there some sentiments that I use often while others rarely use.

I think Jennifer McGuire could also be talking about printed sentiment strips that Simon Says Stamp sells now. I think you get sheets of them and then you can cut them out with a trimmer or use a banner/sentiment die to cut them out. You can also use foiling with them since they are laser printed.

I noticed a youtuber who gives the same spiel about "subscribe to my channel and get notifications" at the beginning of every one of her videos and I find it annoying.

I am so upset with SSS because my December 2019 card kit has not arrived. They are now sending out the Jan 2020 kit. I emailed them 3 times with a "copy" of the paid PayPal invoice for the kit and left 3 messages on the customer service line in the past month. No replies to any of my emails or voice messages. I refuse to buy anything else from them unless this get resolved. I know other people received their Dec 2019 kit late or a different one but I have received nothing or heard from them. Now, someone on a FB stamping group is raving about their great customer service so is it just me or something?

My dad had a double bypass surgery when he was 48 years old (heart disease runs in his family). He recovered from it pretty well though he did get a bit depressed dealing with the pain a couple of days after the surgery. Overall, he is doing well and is now in his late 60s.
Sending you positive thoughts and wishes for a quick recovery.
