Freeatlast, seeing your goal 1200 cards to donate to various charities inspires me to want to make more cards to donate than 200. I'm going to change my resolution to 400. Thanks for the inspiration!

I had right shoulder surgery for stabilization because of several subluxations/dislocations in the past couple of years. The last dislocation was less than 24 hours after my c-section. My mother is helping with taking care of the baby. I am 3 weeks post op but for the past 3 days, it seems the pain is increasing. I wonder if I am just trying to do "more" than I should. My surgeon told me I didn't have to wear the sling 2 weeks post op.
Have anyone had shoulder surgery and are willing to share their experiences with me? Is this pain normal?

My Scrappy resolutions are (1)to make total of 200 Christmas cards to given to and distribute among Caring Hearts Drive, Canadian soldiers, and for a charity that gives cards to sick kids in hospitals across Canada. (2) make cards for the 2 Peas card exchange...loved all the cards I got this year. (3)to send out birthday cards to my parents, father-in-law, and my immediate family. Also to make interactive cards for my young nephews and nieces. I bought so many interactive dies from Lawn Fawn and have not made one yet. (4)to send holiday cards to family and friends.
Hopefully in make all the cards, I start to make a huge dent in my craft supplies.

I would like to work at a major craft company like Simon Says Stamp. Ideal job would be assembling the SSS monthly kits together and getting one for free as an employee. Plus the employee discount would help my craft shopping habit. It would be part-time and no customer service.

Sorry Grammadee, I still haven't received my kit. I emailed them but have not heard from them. Will call them on Monday. So disappointed with SSS.

When I first started cardmaking I used really simple supplies like stickers, diecuts, and pattern paper. As I started to get more into my cardmaking hobby, I started to add so much tools/supplies; stamps, dies, Copics, lots of inks pads, watercoloring markers/pencils, gelatos, and alcohol inks. I realized recently that I was spending more time buying cardmaking supplies and watching videos on cardmaking then actually using the supplies and making cards. Recently with this year's Christmas cards, I wanted to make "simple" and "easy" cards so I went back to stickers, diecuts, and pattern paper. I really enjoyed do this. I plan to make more cards like this.
My question is has your cardmaking and/or scrapbooking style changed through the years?

Just realized from another thread that Ink to Paper was Papertrey. Totally forgot their name change. Are there new owners?

Can't you use any notebooks for all the things she mentioned? ( the "magic" is how it is being used) Basically, documenting how wonderful and insightful you are can be done with any notebook.
Not the best selling point for buying her notebooks.

Versafine black is my favorite black ink. I love how crisp and clear it is. I use either Gina K amalgam black, SSS intense black or MFT hybrid ink for copic coloring. I do love the Ranger dye inks too...very good coverage for solid stamps but I think they don't come in that many colors. I have Altenew mini-cubes and also a lot of the SSS full size ink pads. I find the Altenew and the SSS inks need time to "smooth out".
I think for a period of time, I was collecting ink pads instead of actually using them.

I love Tonic speciality cardstock too. I also use Michael's 110lb paper for card bases. I like SSS and Gina K heavyweight cardstock for card bases. I use 65lbs cardstock for matte layers.

Grammadee, I am suppose to get the kit too. If I get it, I would be happy to send you my gnome die to use. I am in Calgary, Alberta, so even with regular mail you will get it in a couple days. I was planning to use the kit next year since my right arm is in a sling (just had shoulder stabilization a week ago). I'm part of the birthday club so I have your address. Let me know if you want me to send it to you. I will check our mailbox in a couple of hours to see if the kit has arrived yet.

I am disgusted by Nikki Haley and her ass-kissing Trump remarks. She stated that President has always been truthful in all her interactions and was wonderful to work for. His lies are just "slip ups" that public officials sometimes accidentally make so we should just ignore them. Urrgh.

I think it is best if you can get a referral to see a reproductive endocrinologist before taking any supplements. I have gone to 3 rounds of IVF and have suffered from depression. My RE had a bunch of bloodwork for me to have done and other medical tests to try to figure out the cause of my infertility. Also I stayed on Zoloft medication because it was the "safest" antidepressant to be on for pregnancy. I also had progesterone shots too. I have a beautiful 2 month old baby girl. It was a long and challenging journey. Please seek medical advice before you start taking supplements especially if you are trying to get/stay pregnant. Also remember how important your mental health is to the process. I wish you all the best. Please feel to PM if there are any questions about my IVF treatments that could help you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your friends may not like him or think that you should be in a relationship with him, but some may understand that you are suffering a loss and be there for you. Have you reached out to anybody? Please please take care of yourself. Suicide is an extremely painful way to lose a loved one.

amayalylac, I am sorry for all the abuse you and your loved ones have gone through at the hands of individuals in the Mormon church. My ex husband was sexually abused as a kid and the scars he carries to this day are horrific (physical and psychological). I hate when abuse are "excused" because the perpetrators are powerful people and instead, the victims are blamed. I understand how you feel about the Mormon religion because I feel that about the Catholic church and how so many priests "got away" (not punished) with sexually abusing young children with the help of the Catholic church.
