I'm torn on how to proceed. I've been counting WW points plus for a couple weeks now and I don't know that I'm feeling the love for it as I have in the past.
I'm considering tracking calories in My Fitness pal instead .
What do you prefer and why?

Wow, lowering carbs seems to be key with exercise. I'm curious about the vegetarian mention too.

For the first time in my life my bloodwork has a flag and it's for borderline high triglyceride levels. Mine were 158. Because this was detected in a life insurance physical I haven't spoke with a doctor.
Does anyone have any experience with lowering them and tips for me? I know next to nothing about it.
A google tells me to lose weight (losing 5 to 10% of your body weight can lower levels) and get more exercise. I know I could stand to lose about 25 lbs. Which plan to do counting WW points plus. I'm hoping to get real people experience and input here.
Anyone have a story to share?

I'd like it to wear well under makeup and not be greasy or leave a white cast. It seems I can never find one I'm truly happy with so I go without spf on my face. Tsk tsk, I know. ☺

I had some walleye I vacuum packed last July when my brother caught it in my freezer. Wow, huge freezer or small boat?!? LOL We had Pioneer Woman's patty melts and fries. Amazing, but very unhealthy.

I am going to be covering a board meeting and city council meeting for our local newspaper. I'm able to record the meetings and am looking for suggestions and input on digital voice recording apps, sound quality, necessity of a microphone (and I'm seeing there are digital microphone apps and external plug in ones) how these affect battery life, etc. Anyway, color me overwhelmed by the topic and I can't afford for any technological troubles the night of.
Does anyone have any information to help me out?
Thank you!

Honestly, I think some people like to put their Atheism out there as much as Christians. And her living in the Bible Belt, as do I, what is thrown in your face if you don't believe in G*d, can be ugly. If I know my sil like I think I do, this was directed at someone in particular and it makes me sad all around... that she was hurt and this could hurt back.

Christine58, your reply is why I brought this here... to more eloquently put my thoughts in order as to why the article bugged me.

Haha, Thursday...I should have waited a few more hours to post this. In my 14 years on 2ps I've never ventured into partaking in controversial threads. I am definitely more the what's-for-dinner kinda girl so please be kind. ? You just squeaked it in there tonight!! I predict a 10 pager fo sho!! You controversial refupea, you! If you know you're a good parent, just ignore the article... I'm sorry your SIL hurt your feelings. Thank you. I will push this toward the just ignore file. And I really don't want a 10 pager. I think I would be mortified! Ha!

I don't know your SIL so I can't really comment on her intent - perhaps she is trying to be inflammatory, perhaps she feels the need to "prove" that her godlessness is ok. But overall I don't see anything really wrong with the article. Things like : is pretty much what I think. Meg, maybe that's it. In general she likes it known she is better than everyone so perhaps in my mind I'm automatically going to make the leap to 'oh, ah, yes, sil, but of course you're better at this too'.
I agree with this part to an extent...and I am a Catholic. I believe in God but my morality came from being taught by my parents this exact statement~~That how you treat others matters. Are some non-believers good people--absolutely. Are some believers bad people...absolutely.
I think there are good parts of this article and there's other parts that I think are hogwash. Just because someone believes in God does not make them a good person or a good parent.
I think that's what bothered me the most, good and bad people/parents are everywhere, no matter what you believe. I thought more of her than to look past, or at least not address, the obviousness of that.
And it is true, I thought about how she must feel seeing God messages that are seemingly more common. She does live in the Bible belt for that matter.
And thank you also for the reminder that it is Facebook after all. Snort.

Are Doing A Better Job with a link to this article jezebel.com/godless-parents-are-doing-a-better-job-1682844001?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=pulsenewsWe aren't close with dh's sister or her family, but i feel blech since she put this out there. I pretty much knew how they felt, and really never cared one way or the other. But this article just seems so hurtful and judgmental, no matter what you believe in. I believe most of us are doing the best we can as parents and this article, well, it just stirs the pot unnecessarily. Or am I missing something? Is this a great article and I'm not being fair judging her back for her posting it. Sorry, I'm rambling, this just really struck a nerve... and I'm far from uber religious. ?

I asked for and received the Joy of Cooking several years ago at Christmas. I was hoping it would become a beloved 'go to' favorite... Alas, it hasn't and I barely use it. Not sure if it's because of the all b&w format or the layout or what but I never reach for it.
Any suggestions for me to replace it?
Thank you!

I saw a clip on the news with his step father yelling to burn something... so much on the news I wasn't paying that much attention to it. It sure was different than that televised plea for no more violence and demeaning the memory of his son... It isn't the white cop doing that - he's doing it, and the mom and their friends. Michael Brown's stepfather is the one yelling to burn things down in the OP's video. Michael Brown's father was the one that asked for no more violence sometime last week. Two different people.

I knew you guys would know! I judged them to be up to no good. The lady behind them asked if there was a party but i couldn't hear the quick reply. One woman in the group had a lovely house arrest anklet on.

Is there something not on the up-and-up about an odd looking duo purchasing two carts full of Sprite in plastic bottles? We kept seeing today throughout the grocery store and happened to checkout alongside them. The cashiers were looking at them very suspiciously and tight lipped.
