Hmmm... after reading this thread it might be time to crochet again for a bit. I can't papercraft right now because things are a mess in my area(waiting for my she-shed to be finished) but I can stitch while I'm watching tv in the evenings... hehe

When I got on the LuLu's site, it says 2 Small in stock. I got all the way to the last "Purchase now" without it saying it was out of stock or delayed delivery.
Good luck!!

I still have PTSD from the whole ordeal. Same!! My DD brought them home from a sleepover. It took us forever to realize that's what the problem was. It was horrendous trying to get rid of those little suckers!! As for hotels... I do check the beds, and use the extra lock when I'm in the room. Generally, when I'm planning a trip(as opposed to just stopping somewhere random), I look at reviews to see what others have had issues with. I always check the area to be sure it's well-lit and never park in the back corner of the parking lot. LOL

There is a local restaurant here (Iowa) that charges for everything you get on a baked potato. The price on the menu is for just a plain baked potato. They charge for the butter, sour cream, cheese and whatever else is 75 cents per item, and if you ask for your salad dressing on the side it was like 50 cents more. I haven't been there in a while so not sure how much things cost now, but when you're not really expecting it it is a bit of a shock.

I have to call the office today and see what the next step is in the process since my Pharmacy said that it's an "exclusion" so PA probably won't even get it approved through insurance. I'm willing to be the poster child for "please approve this because it will help more people if you do" by appealing to my insurance co if they will just listen. They will approve WLS but won't approve something that will keep me from having the surgery (which would be a revision in my case. I'm above the BMI requirement, I have high blood pressure and have been morbidly obese (I HATE that term!) most of my life. Why wouldn't they want to prevent my needing other meds or procedures that would cost them even more money if they'd just approve this one!? <--- rhetorical question, I know they don't even care. I hate calling on a Monday morning for this but I NEED to get the ball rolling!!

My ex-DH was a fire fighter/emt. a few years ago our Cheif passed away. I'd never been to a funeral like that before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I think, besides the formality of it, the uniforms, standing "guard" at the head and foot of the casket, the bagpipes, the cadence of the pallbearers and FF parade after the casket, the part that touched me was the "final call" and the bell ringing. If you've never seen/heard it, you can google "final bell for Fire Fighter" and see/hear it. It's so solemn and touching.

So I work in a very large cemetery. It is beautiful here, and we have hills and flat areas on our roads. I am going to map out a couple of routes that are 1/2 mile from the office and give this a go!! I can either walk during lunch, after work, or maybe even come early and walk before work sometimes. I NEED to move, this might just be the shove I need! LOL

The fact that he made a tweet about it instead of contacting the airline directly to complain - he's looking for attention. That's the way to "handle" things nowadays. Embarrass the company so they have to respond in public and everyone has to know about it/talk about it. We don't know the flight attendant's side of the story. Makes me wonder if he is calling this out publicly because he is a privileged sports figure? When my kids/grandkids made a mess in public they helped me clean it up. No questions asked. Both of these!! If he was so concerned about his poor poor pregnant wife having to clean up a little mess (ok, a sort of big mess) WTH was she traveling ALONE with a 5 & 2-year-old?? They should have hired someone to travel with her, being so pregnant and all! Yes, sarcasm... I really think he made such a big deal because he thinks he is "someone" and his children's messes should certainly be someone else's responsiblity, I mean, that's what they are paid for, right? Yes, more sarcasm... The amount of entitledness (is that even a word?) that some people think they deserve is really out of hand these days... The kid is 2, give them a snack, no matter who provided it, SHE was the mom, SHE had the last word on whether the kids ate it, expect to clean up the mess, or keep it contained at least. How exactly did they "make" her clean it up? Bring a vacuum and not let anyone off the plane till she got it done? Force her to the floor and hold her down until every last bit was picked up? Not likely...

I think one of the parts of the whole story that most don't even pay attention to is that this kid RANG THE DOORBELL. Ok, I get it, a stranger ringing the doorbell at 10 pm is a littl unnerving, but like someone else said, don't answer. If you're scared to answer or fear for your safety, call 911. In NO scenario is shooting first ok. I mean, if the person is ringing the doorbell, they are not "trying to break in". If you answer the door, and the person tries to push through, ok, shoot them because THEN they are trying to get in and cause harm. But to just open the door and see a black kid standing there and shoot him before you or he even says a word?? Nope.

I think our phones are relatively "new". I'm horrible about keeping up with that sort of stuff. I have the Samsung 21+ 5g, and so does my mom, and my two DDs have the iphone 13(I think?). We are all on the same plan but I really only keep up with mine and Moms since the girls pay for their own (they just pay me every month before it's due lol). I do wish I had a better camera. Mine was supposedly "better" than the last one but I don't really think it is. I've been drooling over the Pixel one but likely won't ever get one. :: ::

I use multiple mats, although I sometimes put multiple colors on the same mat and just make sure I set up the cut correctly for it. This is what I do too. I tend to move layers around so I can put several colors on one mat. You have to unload/reload between each one but that's ok.

The only thing I can think of that would cause a safety issue is if the phone lines are connected. That is exactly my thought. Also, most security (cameras, alarms, etc) is through the internet. I think I would be understanding and supportive of the decision to close the school in those cases. Let's face it, the world is a MUCH different place than it was when "we" were younger (teaching or students) and the internet is a way bigger part of it.

I lost a little respect for Kamala recently, just a personal opinion, not something that might keep me from voting for her if she is the one. I would LOVE to see Pete give it another go. I don't know if the country is ready for an openly gay President though, unfortunately. Just judging, by the way, people are toward the LBGTQ+ community at the moment. I don't know enough about Newsom to have an opinion on him.
I too will vote for whoever is on the ticket with a D after their name.

They have some really nice board books for Toddlers that have textures, colors, etc. If you are looking for something "older" my kids all( I have boys & girls) loved the Junie B Jones books, and the Chronicles of Narnia.

I don't think ANY type of "prank" or "joke" that involves humiliating, embarrassing, hurting or making people look stupid is funny. I can't stand to watch "Impractical Jokers". I hate that sort of "humor".

I'm ashamed I let my ex off the hook for falsifying my signature on a £25,000 loan for his business which he subsequently defaulted- and is now a charge (lien) against my home. He has inherited money since then and could have paid that and another £7,000 charge off for unpaid business rent but chose not to. That’s just who he is. I was told he could have been imprisoned and I just couldn’t do it. Years later watching his even worse behaviour I would probably have done him a favour to stop him in his tracks 13 years ago! This was me as well. Thankfully, he did take responsibility for it in the divorce, I don't know if he is or has ever paid it off though. He still lives in the marital home, and is about to default on it. My name is on the deed but not the mortgage so I'm not sure how that's going to play out. Good job @rickmer!! You rock!!

My Dad is so very happy. He has been a St. Louis Cardinals fan all his life. I loved watching Waino sing the national anthem. He did a better job than so many professionals. This was the highlight of my afternoon!!! It was a really good game! Congrats to the Blue Jays fans for the win yesterday... but GO CARDINALS!!!

From Jackson, MS or Mobile, AL to Northwest-Illinois. I usually stopped in St. Louis on the way up and drove home straight through. I had a friend to visit there so we'd get together for supper or breakfast the next morning before I hit the road for the last bit of the trip. Sometimes I'd wait and leave later in the day and do the stop on the way home too. LOL
