Sorry, not really... but, he is an A$$!!
My situation is very different from yours but my mantra through my divorce and beyond when it comes to X is "not my story to tell"... Sadly! LOL

So we have this table. It's an old dining table. It has been in a partially demo'd house that we were trying to flip. That turned out to be WAY too much for us and we basically quit, so it's just been sitting there, but I digress... I am trying to decide if it'd be worth it to "refinish" it to use in my new She-shed as my craft table/desk or just give it up and keep looking for something else. I think it might have a Formica top, but I'm not positive. WHAT do I need to do if I decide to refinish it? HELP!? I am a thrifty crafty person but this one is a bit above my head. Any products that y'all like or hate? Paint brands or types that I need to get? Attachments:

I'm so sorry. It's so hard to lose a parent. Just do what he needs/wants and make some memories while you still can. Hugs!!

I voted outside because that's what I'd LOVE to have!! LOL We have a special needs son and when we got our last fridge, he was still pretty young and I didn't want the hassle of teaching(and nagging!) him to leave it alone. LOL He is older now so I'd probably go with a "fancier" fridge next time.

I hate having to do it too. I shop for those things at Target. The few cents difference in price is worth it to me not to have to deal with the inconvenience from WM.

I have no idea how it's gonna work. I pay for the 4 profiles so that my DD who was away at school could use it. She has her own apartment and job now so I'll just let her know she will have to pay for it herself if she wants it. If she does, I might just add her to mine and let her pay the $8 instead of the whole amount for a sub of her own. I dunno.
DD who still lives at home signed in last night and it made me confirm so we'll see.

I didn't even know there was one coming. I'll probably watch it. I did watch the show back in the day when the kids were younger. I'm glad that some of them are free of it, too bad others haven't followed.

I love telling people about the coincidences in my & SO's lives.
Both of our parent's names were Debbie & Jerry. And now our Moms are best friends & do everything together. LOL His Birthday is the same day as my oldest DS, AND his (only) DD has that Birthday as well. His DDs name is the same as my oldest DDs name. First & middle, they are spelled differently though.
This one is more of a kismet sort of thing... I had all intentions to move to the St. Louis area. I tried for months to find a job, housing, etc. and things just wouldn't come together. I finally decided in late July that I would just stay in this area for one more school year, so I got the kids registered for school and decided to take a break from the search. That was late July, I met my SO in August. I tell him all the time that he's the reason things didn't work out for me to move. LOL We've been together almost 8 years now.

I got an email about it too. I don't think we really use it enough to pay the $22.99 = $7.99 for the additional. I started using Netflix back in the 90s when DVDs came in the mail & have been a loyal customer ever since. There are so many other options out there now that I don't think we'll miss it.

Cubicle. Half "walls" & L-shaped desk. There are two of us in the room but it's also the lobby/entryway so it's not all that private. I'd love to have my own office because I hate listening to some of the music that my one co-worker chooses. She has an office but if she gets there first she thinks that entitles her to be the music picker for the day. Plus, I hate the interruptions everytime someone comes in, our receptionist is the other one in the same area but people don't realize she is the receptionist so if they come to my counter, I have to help them.

I live in Iowa. A few years ago the then Governor (Brandstadt) signed a bill(or maybe it was a law) that stated schools could not begin before September 1 because it hurts the state's tourism industry, most noticeably the State Fair. There was a waiver system in place for permission to begin before then and all but 2 school districts took advantage of the waiver so that they could govern the beginning of the school year. The powers that be changed it a bit to make the date August 23 as a compromise and so they wouldn't have to deal with the waivers.
I don't really care one way or another when school starts as it relates to vacations or trips because to be honest, we don't take many long trips we take long weekends occasionally throughout the year or do it when they are out of school.
I do fall into the small group that hates that the "summer" is 3 months long. It was a hardship when my kids were younger and I had to pay crazy amounts of daycare but especially hard on my special needs kids. Both of my boys thrive on schedule and consistency. We have to deal with behaviors for several weeks before they settle in and get used to not being in school. There is no "care" available for my 17 y/o son with Down syndrome. I can't leave him home alone, and there are NO programs or facilities that will take kids over 12/13 and the adult day programs won't take him until he is 18. So, I am stuck again paying a crazy amount for his care for 3 full months that I can't afford. We have a state disability respite waiver but they only pay for hours that I am NOT working. He is too old for "childcare" assistance.

We have what's called "Open Enrollment". We can submit a request for the kids to go to a school outside of the district that we are zoned for. When we moved to a different school district I had to do this for our youngest so that she could stay in the same school that she’d always attended. During covid there was a new Superintendent though and she turned our district into her political stepping stone, and we yanked our DD out to get her out of the toxic environment. She was also a Junior when she started the new school (all of my kids & she had gone to the original school all their lives). It was the best thing we could have done for her. She is very social and it took her a bit to find her niche there but she has thrived. I wish we’d done it sooner.

Currently, I have just been buying and "saving" things for when my she-shed is complete. We are VERY close (I should be able to move in next weekend) so I'll have a BUNCH of boxes to open... I'll let you know my answer to this in a couple of weeks... LOL

Yes. What really bugs me is at Costco you can't bag anything while you are scanning at least at the grocery stores you can simultaneously put your first item in your bag down without triggering customer service help. At Costco they don't have any sort of override. You have to just put everything on the bagging area without bagging. It then takes forever to put everything back in your cart one by one. Since you have to go through two receipt checks I don't understand. They have someone count your items before you leave the self checkout area and then you get checked again when you're leaving the store. I was coming to say exactly this!! I hate that! I want to scan and bag or box things as I go and it won't let me.

oh i LOVE her green dress, it is so beautiful with her hair and complexion! Thank you!! It is really unique. Up close there is a lot of Royal Blue, so we got his tie that color, and I did accents in the flowers that color. This will be her only prom so we sort of did a little more than we normally have for the kids Junior prom. She is graduating early though and won't be allowed to go to her Senior Prom.

I got some of the graduation line from Scrapbook Generation because DD is graduating early (in Jan) so I got the stuff that doesn't have a year on it, figured I'll get the dated stuff once it comes out. I also got a few sketches, and the FreeKit and some enamel dots (I think?). I won a door prize on the SG FB crop so it might be here with that package, due to arrive today! Even with all of the crazy of the crop and some HUGE pre-order arrivals, they are super fast at shipping stuff out!!

Hmmm... after reading this thread it might be time to crochet again for a bit. I can't papercraft right now because things are a mess in my area(waiting for my she-shed to be finished) but I can stitch while I'm watching tv in the evenings... hehe

When I got on the LuLu's site, it says 2 Small in stock. I got all the way to the last "Purchase now" without it saying it was out of stock or delayed delivery.
Good luck!!

I still have PTSD from the whole ordeal. Same!! My DD brought them home from a sleepover. It took us forever to realize that's what the problem was. It was horrendous trying to get rid of those little suckers!! As for hotels... I do check the beds, and use the extra lock when I'm in the room. Generally, when I'm planning a trip(as opposed to just stopping somewhere random), I look at reviews to see what others have had issues with. I always check the area to be sure it's well-lit and never park in the back corner of the parking lot. LOL
