What embellishment do you have too much of? Consistent with my style & preferences, I use/purchase few embellishments. Yet, as a theme-challenged scrapper, I still have too many themed embellishments.

... Love the alphabets but I wish they weren't "puffy". I don't know why I don't like "puffies". ... I can't get past my childhood experiences with puffy stickers. Whenever I see them I remember my sticker book pages lined with nothing but soft foam shapes left stuck to the page after the top layer with the image broke off and was lost forever. So I have yet to buy any puffy stickers for scrapbooking. ... No worries; everyone has different preferences. What type(s) of alpha stickers do you like (e.g. flat, foam, chipboard)?

... Amber Autumn - I need that mushroom paper and the deer paper. The overall collection, not so much, but that paper is fantastic. (I just saw someone criticize the deer paper- how dare you criticize my precious deer. All things are better with a deer on it. Put a deer on it!.) ...

Perhaps you're referring to Fancy Pants - Unique ( Cards & Tags Ephemera), one of the four collections in the first release for Fancy Pants Designs (spring 2023) under its new ownership. I think it may have been an Echo Park collection but interesting it is used here too. It appears in 2018 then-DT member Jana Eubanks titled an EP blog post " Happy Girls are the Prettiest!" but the featured collection, EP Imagine That - Girl, doesn't appear to actually include that phrase on its ephemera, sticker sheet, etc.

Well- I might need ALL the alpha stickers. Aren't they pretty? And lots of e's and 2's! ... And love the alphas... ... Luna Puffy Alphabet Stickers: Oh, I am definitely going to need these ... and I know 3 or 4 of these are going to end up in my collection. ... I am excited to see all of the "2"s- somebody is actually thinking. Good punctuation, too. And I love all of the little hearts ... I really like the alphas ... ... those puffy alpha stickers though? If I were rich, I would have the whole collection The Luna Puffy Alphas seem to be a hit!

I don't remember what scrapbook collection it was but it had something like "happy girls are the prettiest" and it reminded me of the "keep sweet" FLDS. Perhaps you're referring to Fancy Pants - Unique ( Cards & Tags Ephemera), one of the four collections in the first release for Fancy Pants Designs (spring 2023) under its new ownership.

... I don't understand how you would scrapbook with Everly, those aren't patterned papers those are cut aparts... Perhaps the hope was to create a versatile collection that appeals to/works for crafters of all sizes (12x12, 6x8, pocket pages, TN, art/junk journals, etc.)?

Well, there's no sign of the word "rad", so that's a plus! Ha! There is one. It is really tiny and on the battery on the sticker sheet, I think, but it is there. Only one "rad" is progress! It's on a battery with a blue background in the Teen Vibe - Carson: Ephemera Words pack (see upper left corner of second image).

3) Lawn Fawn (dies). I emailed them with a question and they went into great detail with their reply which I thought was nice. Thanks for sharing an example of excellent customer service; it seems rare nowadays.

Like Chinagirl828, I've often complained the industry appears to have an unwritten rule that travel collections must focus on mode of transportation &/or camping (accented with florals, of course). As always, I wish for versatile, non-themed, white-based, clean, & modern collections in neutral color palettes to which other colors, distressing, etc. can be added to document anything/everything, including travel to major cities, museums/monuments tours, attending pro/college sporting events as a spectator, etc. I also want to see more Chicago and Philadelphia stuff ... See Reminisce - Chicago

... Hard to pick a 3rd because my other favorite companies are gone. ... It's sad to think about the number of brands that existed during the heyday & have since closed, exited the industry, or gotten swept under the American Crafts umbrella (never to be distinguishable again).

... Some of their lines are gorgeous and some are pretty horrible- I either love a line or hate it. ... It does seem like collections from brands with a signature vintage aesthetic, such as G45, Prima, etc., are more polarizing.

I have to say, I had high hopes when I saw the name of the collection was "Merry and BRIGHT". So you can imagine my disappointment when I saw that it was actually Merry and DRAB.

I like the security of having sketches, which I've collected in MS Word documents from numerous sources, more than actually using them.

I am always tempted by their solids and patterns paper pads because they look less busy, but the $18 price tag because I can't buy it by the sheet always hangs me up. ... I detest paper pads with gummy binding & am also disappointed when papers are not offered by-the-sheet!

- IMHO the best advice for frugality is knowing your papercrafting style/preferences/inventory & purchasing supplies accordingly!
- I place an order only once or twice per year using points/sale/free shipping.
- I never purchase entire collections but pick & choose the specific papers, embellishments, or tools that I'll actually use.
- Since I prefer flat pages (which also maximizes space in an album), I also add hidden scrap cardstock to manually diecut letters/shapes, photos, thin stickers, etc. for stability &/or dimension.
- I stopped buying Thickers years ago due to a lack of stickiness, an inadequate amount of my frequently-used vowels & consonants, not always labeled as acid-free/lignin-free/archival, & price per pack (especially considering the above). Instead, I use stamps &/or dies in basic/usable fonts which can be cut using any paper (& layered for dimension).
- Similarly, I also use tools (e.g. stamps/dies/punches) to create versatile embellishments (e.g. labels, tags)
- My devoted craft room furniture & storage containers are not papercrafting-specific & can be repurposed elsewhere in our home when no longer needed for craft storage.

About 12 years ago, I had only a Quickutz Squeeze tool, two alpha die sets, & a handful of versatile 2x2 shape dies that I used on occasion. The Big Kick, which I purchased on deep-discount at a big box store, could accommodate larger, nesting, border, etc. dies. My manual die collection has expanded by leaps & bounds, & I use it constantly!

Consistent with my style, I use/buy few embellishments - often making my own with stamps/punches/dies on hand - so have relatively few to organize. I do not separate embellishments by theme, color, or collection; rather, I primarily organize supplies by type & secondarily by manufacturer. Embellishments are housed in clear vanity organizers (i.e. ephemera, punched-out chipboard pieces), fridge bins (e.g. enamel dots), magazine-style paper holders (e.g. sticker sheets), etc. Color coding makes it easy to find all supplies (paper, embellishments, tools) in my inventory for each frequently-used manufacturer. HTH & you find an organizational system that works for you.

I'm neither a theme nor collection scrapper & do not sort paper by theme, collection, or color. Rather, I primarily organize supplies by type & secondarily by manufacturer. Paper is stored vertically in magazine-style paper holders/pouches. Color coding makes it easy to find all supplies in my inventory for each frequently-used manufacturer. HTH & you find an organizational system that works for you.

Photo to photo: It doesn't matter if the colors match. Given the example in the OP, I would use the two photos with different blues together if they were necessary to tell the desired story, then incorporate both shades (&/or a grey that coordinates with both of them) into the color palette. Paper to photo (& paper to paper): Colors don't have to match exactly but must coordinate. I especially like brands that include coordinating cardstock with its collections. ETA: ... The hardest thing for me is when I am forced to have 2 non-related 1 page layouts coming together, and trying my best to use papers that are somehow similar or cohesive on both pages. ... I'm the opposite. I purposely want two unrelated 1-page layouts to NOT be cohesive/similar as a signal to readers that its not a double-page layout but two different stories.
