We were out to impress each other at our 10-year reunion. By the 20th, we had all experienced loss – death of loved ones, divorce, job disappointment - so we were kind to each other. The overall theme then was “Life is good.” We continue to be kind to each other at each reunion. A beloved classmate had been deathly sick with cancer, but in December before our 40th reunion, he started a new treatment, and he responded well. He was able to be at the reunion. The emcee acknowledged him at the banquet, and he received a standing ovation; he had to wipe away tears. A secondary theme at this 40th reunion was that four people were burying relatives or dispersing their ashes when they were “back home.”

589--we were supposed to have over 600, but some didn't fulfill all requirements.

My daughters kitties are indoor cats. But she they do love to go outside in their “to go boxes” (carriers). She keeps their carriers by the patio door and when they want to go outside they get in their carrier. She puts them facing out so they can look at the yard. When they are ready to come inside they turn around in their carrier and face the house. Smart kitties!!

Gen Jones for me too, mid '64. For a long time we were lumped with the baby boomers, which I was never comfortable with. Me too, along with President Obama. I experienced so many things differently from the early Baby Boomers.

Wow, lots of longevity here. I’ve worked at my current job in the same position for 21 years. Today is my last day, for I am retiring. I’ve been a professional librarian since 1981. Congratulations!! Best wishes for your future adventures!!

I live in Minot, and I like the diversity brought by Minot State University students and people affiliated with Minot Air Force Base. We have many chain restaurants. But you will want to enjoy unique, local ones. Downtown, we have High Third and the Prairie Sky bakery and Starving Rooster. For bed and breakfasts, I would love to stay at Dakota Rose, a Victorian house. I have attended tea parties there. Personally, I love visiting the Scandinavian Park with its Stave Church.

Growing up, my parents subscribed to the daily newspaper of the large city near us and the weekly newspaper from a small town in the other direction. Since the local one switched from delivery people to using the USPS and eliminating the Sunday edition, I switched to digital only on that one. I still subscribe to the weekly. Often now, the weekly does better reporting than the daily.

It comes with Tad, Dash, Pinch, Smidgeon, and Drop! ![](//storage2.proboards.com/5645536/images/TKS2q_7siLiFtq0xPQvx.jpg) I want those JUST for the cute words ![:D](//storage2.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) I knew there was NO WAY I'd pay for shipping, but I was curious to check what it would be. Well, they don't even ship to the U.S.! of a big deal. I have this set, since I cook for two. I'm American, and I bought mine in a local cooking store.

My friends entire armpit area swelled and her arm was red & hot to the touch. This was me too. That vax was the toughest on my body so far. Edited to add ... I think its much better than actually getting shingles though! My experience and thoughts exactly.

"Smothered Steak" Onion slices on the bottom of a crockpot, then steak, then a can of cream of mushroom soup. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.

didn't bark *quite* so much There are Shelties that don't bark quite so much??? Shelties bark because they watchdogs and herders. Boots, a Shelti-mix, was my soulmate dog, a gentleman and very intelligent. He and Laddie, who came after Boots, would bark if necessary. They were both intelligent and high engery.

Get yourself and other living creatures to safety as first priority.
Growing up, my father was terrified that a prairie fire would come rolling in from CRP fields and I would be home alone. He stressed to me that I should get in a vehicle and drive to safety. (He knew I, like his mother, would try to get the dog with me; he stressed I was the important person) Others would come to fight the fire.
In 2011, I lived in a town that knew it would be flooded within two days. It turned out to be less than 48 hours. Everyone, even those not flooded will never be the same, but we all learned material items are not as important as living things.

I learn new things all of the time here. There are great product recommendations too. Most people are kind, and the really rally when someone is in trouble or has a loss. This!! Perfectly said.

Yes. I have been very anxious. I think a lot of us who spent our formative years in the Cold War have been set off by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Definitely. I grew up close to a USAF radar quadrant. I went to school with children of USAF airmen.
