Pasta with olive oil, garlic, spinach, and cherry tomatoes. Top with toasted pine nuts and parm and red pepper flakes. You could add fresh mozzarella or Italian sausage to make it more hearty.

My (now adult) kids’ 4th grade teacher was arrested for murdering her boyfriend. She allegedly poisoned him over time with antifreeze.
It’s been at least 10 years since I’ve seen her, but she was a lovely and wonderful teacher. So awful.

Money laundering doubtful; he doesn’t have money to launder. More likely buying it up (with money raised for his upcoming political campaign) to make it look like they are a hot commodity and encourage a purchasing frenzy. Not for laundering his own money. For hiding illegal cash infusions from foreign entities or even right-wing American billionaires. Apparently the transactions are very hard to trace. That's what I figured when he announced it.

Wax amaryllis: I plant them in my garden when spring comes. I’ve wondered about these, how do you grow these? They’ve confused me 😀 I’ve forced a lot in water or planted in a vase. As for the original question, I’ve given a lot of soup and marinade packets. You just leave it out and let it grow. It requires nothing. They’ve been soaked in water before covered in wax, so they don’t need any water or dirt. Sometimes they can be planted outdoors after they’ve bloomed, but sometimes the basal plate has been cut off (depends on how it was prepared) and you won’t be able to regrow it. I’ve given them to people who do not have green thumbs and tell them to toss it when it’s done blooming.

Consumables! Trust me, no one in their 70s wants more “stuff.” Food, wine/booze, fresh flowers, gift cards, things like that. How about a waxed amaryllis bulb. You don't have to water it or anything. When it's done blooming, you toss it out. I've given them in the past and they've been well received. My mom just bought those for her friends group. I had no idea what it was or what it was for. But now I know, and yes, that would be a good gift. As long as they know what to do with it, because I would have had no idea otherwise. I've probably given 6-8 of these to people, and they've always bloomed so nicely. Keep an eye out at Trader Joe's, because I found them there last year really cheap (under $10.)

I put it in containers. We don’t eat much cereal and it was going stale faster in the box.
When DD was little, I did the fake cheerios in the real cheerios box switcharoo. She took one bite and refused to eat anymore because they were yucky.

This isn’t confusing math, it’s a poorly worded question. When you ask a math question, it’s important that the people answering it can understand what you’re asking. I managed a team writing science assessment, and that sort of ambiguous question would have never flown.

The combination of the medical breakthroughs of vaccines and antibiotics, that occurred around the same time, led to American lifespans increasing by 20!!! years, from about 60 to about 80.

We recently watched it and thought it was great. Such great stories, and I really loved the ensemble work of the cast. The first six episodes are the first half of the season, and the February restart will be the second half of the season. Did you know it is loosely based on a series of investigative articles by the Anchorage Daily News about how violence and sexual assault against Indigenous women was not being investigated?

That was going to be my question too. Does Scientology allow people to seek cancer treatment? They did say this was a very sudden diagnosis, so either she ignored the signs or didn't seek treatment until it was too late. I seem to recall that when Kelly Preston died of cancer (also far too young) that it seemed as though she didn't seek treatment fast enough The whole thing is very sad, and very shocking. I'm sorry for her family and her children. And so close to christmas. She didn't necessarily ignore signs or not seek treatment. I just lost a friend who had chronic pancreatitis, and when he went to the hospital for a flare up they diagnosed him with pancreatic cancer. He died three weeks later. It was very sad and unexpected. I'd hate to think people were blaming him. He'd had plenty of workups and tests over the years and didn't ignore his condition. Sometimes it's just a fast growing cancer. I really enjoyed the characters she played over the years, she was a very talented and funny actor.

Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack always were great for my mom (size 12) and my sister (10.5 Narrow). I tend to buy a bunch of pairs from zappos and send back whatever doesn't fit.

I'm fully vaccinated, and was very cautious at the beginning. As cases have lowered around here, I am more moderately cautious. DH and I were both sick with covid for the first time about a month ago, and we both had symptoms for about 3 weeks. No idea where I caught it -- I gave it to DH. I work at home, and really hadn't been out and about much around other people in the 3-5 days prior to getting sick. I had such a miserable cough that just wouldn't go away - I'm pretty sure if I'd caught it pre-vaccine I would have ended up very very sick.

I am curious about how heavy these get when filled up. Thoughts? I have a wrecked back and neck froom a car accident 33 years ago. If I try hard, I can usually carry 2 regular reusable bags on my "good side" if needed. Also, can they be swung over a shoulder? I'm short, so I find that some bags drag on the ground if I carry them at my side. So then I have to bend my arm to keep them from dragging which can be tiring. I have to walk up 2 flights of stair to get from our parking garage to my condo. Thanks for any input you can offer! I love these bags! You can fill them as much as you want. I usually carry them over my shoulder, the straps are fairly long.

I'd email them with the information, and if I didn't hear back within 48 hours, I'd set up my pretty new tree.
The exception to calling is Amazon, I always call them because it's easier and they've always been able help me better that way. Pretty much any other place gets an email or chat online.

We’ve had them a few times in our neighborhood and it was fun. We’re a group who are all friendly. It was nice catching up and sharing food together.

ABC News just said it MIGHT have been a person who lived in the house. Maybe the missing roommate? The police say they do not believe the 6th person was involved and that person was not home that night. Just saw a clip from a police news release.

I keep a box of gifts in the hall coat closet. Just for when I need something quick... going to a party or for a hostess gift or birthday dinner. I used a beautiful crystal Christmas tree ornament last week when we were invited to my cousin's house for a post-Thanksgiving party. I don't do scented candles at all, but I like to keep pretty candle holders in my box. I also keep some baby gifts in there -- my kids are the age where their friends are starting to have babies.
It's easier for me to pick up things I like when I see them, than to go searching at the store when I need them.

My dad always carried one -- he was an engineer and was always tinkering with something. We did a lot of camping, so my sisters and I all had them. I don't carry one anymore, but I do keep one handy at home.
My son has several. He camped with the boy scouts and was always whittling away on something.
I don't think my daughter has one - she never expressed any interest in camping.

I cook it the following way and I have never had one person who hasn't said it was the best salmon they ever had. Also, everyone was a little disgusted when I told them what I was doing, but it is easy and amazing. I marinate the salmon in equal parts pure maple syrup and soy sauce for 30mns (no more!) and cook at 425 for about 15mns or flaky. Let stand 5 mns and it is just simply amazing. It doesn't add too much sugar and it gives it such a fabulous taste that I now need to make this for my dinner tonight. I made this tonight and it was so delicious! Served with roasted sweet potato chunks and asparagus. Thanks! This one is going in the rotation.

I like the cartoon ones from my childhood -- Rudolph, Frosty, Charlie Brown, The Grinch.
We just watched Spirited with Ryan Reynolds and Will Farrell. It was really really good. I love a good musical with lots of dancing.

I have a wooden tray on the coffee table that holds the TV and fireplace remotes, some coasters, and a couple little puzzles. Since the kids moved out, they never get lost.
Our late dog chewed up at least three of them, and my son used to hide it in the closet when he was a toddler - he liked the little red light.
