I haven’t seen anyone post this, so I’m going to get it started. I’d also love to hear any stories… special ornaments, things you changed up, etc! I’m not finished yet but could use some inspiration from you guys! So, here’s a couple “almost done” trees as my contribution. 😂 The first is in my mud room. I’ve never done a tree in here before, but it’s the main entrance for our family, so why not? I’m still on the hunt for a basket to put the tree in, and then this one is done.   The next one is in our basement family room. This is the tree we open presents around. It’s new (I really wanted a white tree but ended up with a flocked one.) I had no idea what I wanted to do here because we’ve had the pink tree for the past few years, but I had some nutcracker ornaments I really liked. I pulled some ribbon out of my craft stash so it’s a bit chaotic but I like how it turned out! Waiting on a tree topper which should be here next week, and I have to figure out a tree skirt.   Super cute!!!!! |

In these times of "cancel culture", why is it that politicians can say the most hideous things and suffer no consequences, when 'normal' people lose their jobs (rightfully so) after racist rants go viral? Case in point: this dipshit Lauren Boebert. (Sorry if this has already been posted.) This is what she said: "Actually I have an Ilhan story for you. So...." [Redneck in crowd: "Oh man, let's hear it."] "The other night on the house floor was not my first Jihad Squad moment..... I was getting into an elevator with one of my staffers..... Nephew's wife brings raw vegetable pre meal snacking tray--a huge one--every Thanksgiving. Problem is that she arrives when we sit down to eat. IMO, if that is your contribution, arrive early or bring over the day before, but not at a time when it won't be eaten. She lives close enough to do so. We have a fam member who always brings appetizers…that have to be baked…. Yep. She brings them unbaked and needs the oven. On thanksgiving… |

So, what do people think that Biden is doing that is causing high prices? Because from what I have heard from people who do apparently know about the issue, it is a GLOBAL MARKET issue, not just the US. And that there isn't much Biden or any other world leader can do to make the gas companies reduce costs. This is what I keep reminding people. Gas and oil raise their prices so they can keep their shareholders happy. Same with insurance and pharmaceutical companies. |

You still have not answered the questions, why is it important to visit the border? And if the policies are encouraging people to come, why is that bad? And you keep ignoring the facts about the Afghanistan withdrawal. Like the fact that the former president negotiated a deal and the Biden administration was stuck with a deadline. I have a pink tree that has all flamingo ornaments on it in my dining room. DS1’s is teal, DS2’s is blue, and DS3’s is white. I’m looking for a new pink one, but a very specific shade (like a rose gold or dusty pink) for my family room. I love the sound of ALL of these! I absolutely must find a teal tree, it will go with the colour scheme I want to establish in my house. In answer to the poll question, mine is a boring green. leannec I really love the sound of your white tree with white, blue and silver decorations. ETA: Ha, you can see mine in my avatar pic! We saw a teal tree this year at the store chain called At Home. It was gorgeous!! |

I’ve already decorated 3 huge ones for other clients, a 20’ one (a very floral artistic red, silver and gold one) and two 9’ ones.
Another in the pipeline this week—she saw a peek of one I did for a big mansion tour next week and just ordered hers because of the color palette I used!
We decided to go kinda fun and funky with our own here at home. So flamingos it is!

I just put an offer on a condo. I liked it. Well it’s got 90% of what I wanted. I don’t think in this market I’ll get %100 of what I want. It’s in a good town. Long story short my landlord is going to sell my unit come spring. If I don’t want to buy it ( and I’m pretty sure I don’t, I don’t think it’s worth what a similar unit just sold for, besides I’ve lived here I know all the things wrong with it. Lots of expensive things are wrong with it. Beggining with the heat! ) I’m going to have to move with 90 days notice from him. ( which sounds stressful to me ) If I find a place then it’s ‘my’ 90 days notice which I wouldn’t give until I have a place at least semi nailed down. ( which seems less stressful to me ) So after having that conversation with my landlord last week ( when the heat broke ( again! ) I decided to step up from stalking things on Realtor . Com and maybe driving by, which I’ve done for about 18 months now, to going to open houses. Last Sunday I went to an open house. It wasn’t for me. But found this one in the process. So from Thursday to yesterday I prequalified for a mortgage saw the property and made an offer. Feels like a whirlwind. Realtor must think I’m nuts. I mean he had no idea how long I’ve been cyber stalking real estate that I’m comfortable ( ish - I’m comfortable-ish )seemingly going from zero to offer in one week & 3 showings. So, I don’t know if I’m more ‘scared’ they’ll accept my offer or that they won’t accept it. I’ve never bought anything alone! I haven’t bought anything in 21 years. I’ve seen so many people ‘fail’ buying too much at high a price & loosing it. I’ve seen housing prices plummet. We had the last 18 months of WTF that we never seen before. I’m terrified I’ll make a mistake. I’m freaked out about change. I hate packing. I hate moving. My head is spinning. Oye PS I did NOT over extend myself. Apparently what I feel comfortable ish spending is about half what the mortgage guy thinks I can spend. From where I’m standing the mortgage guy is on something, something strong, because there is simply no way I could afford that. If I could I’d have kept my old house. But that monthly payment was way above my head, or at least it was IMO. So I have no idea why this guy thinks I could afford even more. Where would the money come from? Change us always scary and exciting! Harness it to being an exciting adventure recreating a free, new awesome space for yourself! |

If the verdict would have been the same if Kyle Rittenhouse had been a Black teenager then I would agree justice has been served. However, I highly, highly doubt that would have been the case. That absolutely should not matter. This isn’t about race. It’s about self defense. It 100% has everything to do with equality of Justice. |
