I use it on our bamboo floors. Love it, but ihave to go to a flooring store to buy it. I wish it were more widely available.

I think the Cinnabon scene is Saul in the witness protection program after Breaking Bad ends - didn't he disappear and assume a new identity? - I think that's it. In the last episode of BB, Saul mentions the best he might be able to do is work at Cinnabon. Ha ha ha! I missed that too. Awesome!

Watching the second episode right now. What is the deal with the space blanket? I must have missed something.

How do you baste a quilt using the spray? Can you reposition your fabric? When I baste I usually tape my backing to the floor, then center the center of my batting over that, smooth it from the centre out (usually involves me crawling over it somewhat), then center the center of my quilt top over that and repeat, pinning from the center out. I can't picture how to do it with the spray to get rid of the wrinkles?

I don't compete, nor do I have any interest in competing. My goal is to become a more efficient swimmer which will help me save my energy for the bike and the run during a triathlon (which I don't compete at, either - I am just there to complete those!) I do love that swimming can be a lifelong sport. There is a woman in the pool with us every morning, not part of the masters club but on her own - she just turned 88 and she is really inspirational.
My area has had a different masters team for a long time that practiced at night and the time just never worked for me with all the kids' activities. I'm lucky that the morning group formed, but we only have about six swimmers who come out consistently. I hope the club has staying power and is around for many years to come!

Ha! I will verrrrrrrrry occasionally try to squeeze a workout in at lunch, but the majority of the time I don't do it specifically because of the time it takes to get presentable again. Not sure that I have any words of wisdom for you other than to say if you expect it to be a regular thing, I would probably buy duplicates of everything and just keep it in your gym bag. I have forgotten things before and it's stressful. I once swam on my lunch hour and then got out of the pool to find I had forgotten my hairbrush! Eeek!

Kind of a S/O from the running thread that got me thinking. Does anyone swim with a masters program?
After swimming on my own for about 5 years, my local YMCA brought in a masters program this past fall. I joined thinking maybe I'd go once a week or so to pick up some pointers from the coach but I have surprised myself with my consistency. We train 3x/week for 90 minutes per session, and I have been at every single practice that I haven't been out of town for. There are two programs through our Y, a morning and evening program. I do mornings which is Tues and Thurs at 5:30 a.m. and Sunday at 7:15 a.m. The great thing about it is that I have absolutely nowhere else to be at that hour, so I usually have no problem making it. The bad thing about it is that by about 11 a.m. some days, I am ready for a nap! I need to work on getting to bed earlier.
Just curious about other masters programs, how often they meet, what your typical workout would look like, etc.?

I got into triathlons a few years ago from a pure running base. When I am in season, I aim to swim, bike and run 3x/week each. Some of those are two-a-day workouts and some are bricks (following a bike session up immediately with a run). Since it's winter I have been slacking on the bike; right now I'm only fitting in 1 spin/week on average. I do swim 3x/week and run 3-4x/week. Typically I run once or twice 5-6 miles, once 1.5 miles (warm up for my bike) and then one long run which this weekend was 8 miles - trying to work back up to 10 as my standard long run.

I felt the same way about Lindsay Teague Morano. I followed her as a scrapbooker and then she got in on the oil craze. She posted about it quite a bit on her blog for a while and it sounded like she was making money hand over fist, like almost $25,000/month by the end of her first year. I stopped reading or maybe she stopped writing, I don't recall. This thread made me think of her and I looked her up on Facebook. She was at the Superbowl in some pretty sweet seats. I am guessing she is still financially successful. I was disappointed when she got out of the scrappy stuff and her online persona became all about the oils, but it's her decision to make.

I had a doula with both deliveries. Loved her! My hospital did not offer epidurals with #1, and she gave me the confidence I needed to make it through. By #2 my hospital did offer epidurals, but my first experience was so positive that I wanted to repeat it and opted out. My doula also took photos that I treasure. (I did pitch some of the more flagrant crotch shots!) I think she was about $250-300 and that was 8 & 10 years ago.

I think tension is something you have to fiddle with to get it exact. Does it by chance mean to drop your feed dogs, as you would for darning?

I made two bite brownies and piped icing 'laces' on them so they look like footballs.
We're having meatballs, veggies and dip and chips and salsa for dinner.
Couldn't care less about the game!

Just wondering. Here is my January. Feel free to share your first month if you made it this far.
I won't share anymore months until the end if I'm just chatting in a thread by myself. I must say, having done this already last year, this year has been 100 times easier. I don't see me quitting and losing motivation like I did in 2014. Even if you are talking to yourself, I'd still love to see it! I have about ten clips from Jan (not doing a second a day, longer clips/fewer of them) and have thought about starting to edit. But I want the music I pick to fit too, and wonder if editing will be easier when I have all the video. At least with a second a day, you know your video will e 365 seconds long! Right now I have edited my video snippets down to less than ten seconds each and strung them together. I will probably save the rest of the editing for year end.

We simply adored Costa Rica last year, but there is not a lot to see and do in San Jose itself, and to get to either the coast or the Central Valley, you are looking at a 3 hour drive. Not sure about the Liberia situation though. I would love to see Panama one day!

Sometimes I just don't want the whole world to know what I'm thinking. "OH, you're planning a vacation there?" "OH, that's the theme for your kid's next birthday party?" "OH, you're doing a staircase gallery wall?" Sometimes I just want to do stuff without it being a topic of conversation. Especially if I haven't costed out the trip or the project or whatever, and it may never wind up happening.

We flew with them from Detroit to Orlando last summer with no issue. We weighed our bags and were under the limit, but we did have to shuffle things around to make it work. We also were very careful about making sure our carry on bags were within the posted size limits, but most other people on the plane had larger carry ons and it didn't look like they were being charged for them.

Thanks for sharing! I never heard the term "Straya" before today, but I did recognize the Wiggles, Angus Young and Midnight Oil. Straya is like Murica or Oirish. The term is used to denote extreme nationalism and patriotism. I feel like my head must be in the sand, I've never heard of any of these! Loved the video though, thanks for sharing.

I think it will be Zeke. I don't think they would hit us out of left field, in the very last episode, with anyone but Zeke.

Another plot point that I wish they would bring back... when Edith and Rosamund were discussing the arrangement to hide her pregnancy and give up her child, Edith said something like, you would never understand how I feel because you've never had a child... and there was some indication in the way that Rosamund behaved or something she said to indicate that there was more to her than we knew. I keep waiting for that to come back up. I keep wondering if we'll find out that Edith is really Rosamund's illegitimate child or something like that, which would help to explain why she's a bit of a black sheep in her family.

We don't make a huge deal of it but we do follow the traditional gift list. Not sure it was such a good idea to get into that. This year is "Animals" (used to be ivory but has since been expanded). I think if I brought home another pet, DH would kill me. Still, this is likely going to be an easy year. The year we did tin was pretty hard...

Thanks for the recap about Thomas - I caught the syringe part but wasn't sure specifically what he was trying to treat. I get it now!
I also thought I missed something that changed Mary's mind about Tony. When she was talking to Granny about him, I thought it was pretty certain that they would wind up together.
To be honest, I've only half-watched the last few episodes while I've been doing other things. The first episode or two of the season were quite engaging but I feel like the last couple have been less so.

A group of us are looking to chip in on a 40th birthday gift for a friend - budget is probably in the $100-$150 range. We are old high school friends, only in contact a few times a year now. She has a huge, fabulous, beautifully decorated home. I am not close enough to her in day to day life to know if she has any particular wants or needs right now. I would guess not. Any suggestions to help us out? I am trying to remember what some of the hot holiday gifts were, but am drawing a blank!
