It gets easier. Mine are 26 and 24 now and the 24 yo is home again while attending a local school. We love having her home, but I dread the day she moves out again. It's gut wrenching.

I was up until 2:00 am last night submitting an application that required 6 particular pictures. I literally had 10,000 photos to skim through before I found the ones I needed. Then I still had to edit them. Technically, I didn't wait until the last minute, I still had til midnight tonight. But I don't like to wait until the very last minute or as I have learned over and over again, that's when my computer or internet will crash.

A little history: I am insane crazy for vintage and thought I'd open an etsy shop to pay for my addiction. So within a year of that bright idea, I was swimming in all things vintage cute and pretty much just a hoarder. My dh threatened divorce, and I purged - big time purged. Sold at an antique faire (Niles Canyon for Bay Area Peas - it's killer) and now I avoid estate sales.
BUT!!!! I did stop at Goodwill last week and bought 4 bins of jewelry-making supplies and 2 bags of mixed jewelry. The best part was 3 long strands of Tasco Sterling beads!!! HUGE find for me, probably worth a few hundred dollars. Other stuff included 30-40 strands of gemstone beads and one whole bin of sterling silver findings.
I replaced my paper crafting hobby with jewelry making about 7 years ago so all this stuff was a gold mine to me.

Even though I don't check in very often anymore, It's still comforting to come back and see my people! 2Ps was such a big part of my life when my kids were young. Seriously, I think my girls were in 3rd and 5th grade when I joined and now they're 25 and 27!
What year did 2ps start up?

I feel like the delivery drivers probably don't make more when the store charges a delivery charge. I feel like they get paid as a driver regardless of whether it's free delivery or not. I dispatch a truck as part of my job (I sell shipping containers.) and my driver doesn't get tipped very often but he's always stoked when he does. We deliver to a lot of ag people so he gets flats of strawberries/blackberries or mushrooms frequently. Then we're all happy!

Hi! We have a large population in my town from Croatia. Adriatic Travel - www.adriatictours.com/ - is a local company here, owned by a Croatian family that is usually very happy to advise people about Croatia, even if they aren't booking through them. Jelka (pronounced Yelka) is the owner. Her son Ivo and my daughter Torrey went to school together. She will remember me - Kristi - Torrey's mom. Tell her Hi if you talk to her! Also - good to see you! I haven't been here in a few years, it's nice to see familiar names!

We cancelled our cable TV and have been doing fine with Netflix, Amazon Prime, our rabbit-ears (CBS/Survivor - check) and an occasional Redbox until now.
Is there anywhere to watch the Walking Dead if you're not paying for a TV Service?
I just don't know if I'll be able to NOT watch it....... I have to see what happened!!!
I don't need any re-caps or spoilers, I need to watch it myself!
thanks in advance for anything you can give me!
ps - Hi everyone, I've been absent for a while!

I'm so sorry. I know the feeling.
I was burglarized right before Christmas last year and they actually took a box of antique Christmas ornaments, most family heirlooms. The gifts that were taken were easily replaced, but I'm still mad about my ornament collection!!!

Walk of Shame! so so funny! we belly-laugh every time, also on the juvenile-teen-boy type funny - Neighbors. Our 60+ year old friends enjoy both with us. And I agree with someone above - Pitch Perfect is a good funny movie.
On the romantic-comedy - Love Actually and 50 First Dates are always good.

Good camping food. for tacos or chicken salad sandwiches.
In everyday cooking, no. It always smells tinney to me. But for camping - yes.

I cashed in my return ticket while on a vacation to Kauai and stayed 3 years.
Actually, getting there was pretty impulsive too - I went on the trip by myself after my friend cancelled at the last minute. Everyone expected me to cancel too but noooo.

I have a tiny heart that used to be on my hip bone. now it is on a big slab of tummy and doesn't look like it did when I got it 1978, when I was 22. My word of advise to those who are considering a tattoo - don't get one on an area that will stretch with age. They don't wear well.

I think whatever they want is the right thing to do.
For my family, some ashes are buried, some are stored at the graveyard. (Is that called inurned?)
For me - I want my ashes buried (I've designated the place in a National Forest) and a tree planted on top of me.
My dh wants to be scattered at sea. I'll do it, because that's what he wants, but I don't really like the "scattering" part.

My dd's hard drive failed again. She's an art student with papers due this week so we have to act fast. She will run a couple big programs but no gaming or anything else massive.
I found a dell @ staples for $550.00 that has: touch-screen, windows 8.1, Intel i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 1 TB hard drive
Does that sound like a good deal or should I keep looking? Anyone know of any screaming deals out there today?
I am so uneducated in this!

My dh had a persistant, dry cough that was a side-effect of his blood pressure medication. Did you start any new meds recently?
