I watched a Dr talk about the hand made masks. His wife was making them out of Hepa-filter vacuum bags. He said they were as close as you can get to the N95s if you're making your own. So I'm thinking if you're making cloth masks, you can cut up hepa-filter bags into squares and use instead of coffee filters for extra protection.

Peasapie - Do you both work? Are you both at home now because of C-19? The way I taught my dh to cook is to ask him for help in the kitchen. Can you do me a favor? I need the taco meat browned while I make the rice. Then tell him how to do it and back away. If you get in the habit of including him in the food prep, he'll get used to it. In fact, that's how I taught my kids too! If he won't cook AT ALL EVER, you have to look at the other things he does and decide if you can live with it. My dh cleans the house, cuts the grass and washes the cars every weekend. I've never cut the grass, never washed my car and have never vacuumed my downstairs living room (I do vacuum upstairs) and everyone in my house including my girls (Starting at about 2nd grade) have always done their own laundry. Dh doesn't shop for groceries very often or plan meals EVER but everything else he does makes my life easier so I'm happy. I've taken one evening class per semester since 2012 so I'm gone 2 nights a week and I told him in the beginning if he wants to eat on those nights he has to cook. And he does! It is very nice to come home those two nights a week to food.

Done and I have no idea what dental flippers are Big fake teeth! Some of those little girls are losing their front teeth and the flippers are like a retainer that slips over their own little teeth.

I didn't read through the responses, but I think she'll be eligible for PUA? Not sure how much she makes as a house cleaner, but it possibly be close to what she makes now.
My husband cleans our house, he's still getting all the perks he did before!

Santa Cruz County - CA - Our public health dept just activated a shelter-in-place order for non-essential people. Schools were already closed, but now all non-essential businesses, are being ordered closed. Everyone who is in a non-essential business should stay home until April 7th. There is a list of essentials - medical, food stores and farming, pharmacy, laundry, and some more but if you're not in one of those businesses, you're sol. I'm so worried for the population who live paycheck-to-paycheck.

I just got back from vacation last Thursday. Plane. Hotels. Rental car, shuttle bus, concert in huge indoor arena, trolly, multiple tour busses, bars, restaurants. If I had known when I left what I know now, I'd have cancelled. But we had a great time and at least New Orleans isn't seething with the virus - but I'm sure all the germs from Mardi Gras were still there even though we got there after it was over.
But as far as your trip Edie3, I know Walmart and Kmart allow you to sleep in their parking lots if you need to. You can nap there safely in case of fatigue.

In 2012, I took my first semester-length metalsmithing class at our local community college. I've taken one class per semester since then. I can now set stones, cast metal, do enamelling, and soldering silver, brass or copper. I can solder gold but it's too expensive for me to play with! I use semi precious stones like turquoise and carnelian, etc and sea glass. I might be able to post a pic.... Ok, I tried to post a pic but it didn't work. I think this might take you to my facebook album. www.facebook.com/kristi.aitken.5/media_set?set=a.941868635845224&type=3If that doesn't work, I'm @love.Mom.Designs on Instagram. Beautiful work! Do you sell your pieces? Oh, thank you for looking! I do sell in about 4 craft shows per year. I do well at the Aloha / Polynesian festivals. A lot of my newer jewelry had a tropical focus. I have a few things on Etsy but the photos are horrible and don't do the work justice. I need to take pics of my newer work, it's quality is quite a bit better also! My etsy is www.etsy.com/shop/LoveMomJewelry?ref=condensed_trust_header_title_sold

I've never traveled abroad, but right now I have a trip scheduled to New Orleans that I wish I had bought insurance for. I came down with shingles 3 weeks ago and if I had insurance, I would have postponed it. So now, I'll be on vacation with shingles on my face and eye. lovely.

What's your personality? I'm a total introvert and would flourish on that farm and would kill for a studio. But if you're a socially centered person, maybe a more in-town place would make you happy. Also, walking to the train would be a huge bonus. Myself - I'd take the farm in a second and never come out of that studio.

I also think those of us that are always there, always doing the job, and keeping our heads down, get looked over. A little praise and a little noticing is worth a lot, isn't it? This is so true. I've been at my job for almost 30 years and have to constantly toot my own horn. grrr!

OH I haven't!!! I remember we watched another British show, in a quaint seaside village, with a blond female police officer, but I can't remember the name. It's good though. I'll check Shetland too!
