I grew up with herding dogs, and I miss having a dog. All of you that have dogs that are "attached to you at the hip" are so, so lucky.

It will be an M.Ed. The program is designed for people wanting to work in student services at universities; directors for admissions, housing, conduct officers... those sorts of things. I've been working in a admissions office for the past 8 years. I like it and it is a career path I want to stay on so this is the next logical step. Congratulations on being accepted into graduate school!! Three to five years seems like a long time keep at it because working in student services at a university is awesome. I have worked in two areas in 32 years, and I love having a small part in young people achieving their dreams.

After growing up an only child, it doesn't bother me to eat or travel alone.
"I don't usually go fancy when I'm alone but decided to splurge."--I have learned that life is uncertain, and nothing is guaranteed. So definitely enjoy the present, within reason.

I posted 10 times and then went beyond that. In the process, my status changed--so thank you for the challenge.

English and American literature is sold in most book stores, even in the store in my tiny town you will find books in English. And there's a large section in the library, too. I think the fascination with the English language is partly because such a large number of Norwegians emigrated to the US. There are more Americans of Norwegian descent than there's Norwegians! So everyone has relatives there. I'm one of them I'm finding this thread fascinating! I'm one too. Three grandparents came from Norway, and my American grandmother's parents came from Sweden. I miss the beautiful "melody" of Norwegian because the people who spoke it are mostly gone now.

I'm thinking if doing the under neath layer dark purple. I've hit a point where I'm "life's too short for boring hair" lol I say "go for it!!" My last stylist wanted to try out a red product that was painted on, and I let her do it to my hair. It looked great. I was right--I knew the female employees won't say anything about it, and the students would love it and tell me so.

A couple were major donors to the university where I work, and their urns are encased in the wall, with a glass front, of a conference room. I always refer to that conference room as "The Urn Room."

Growing up in a musical family, I love so many types of music--oom-pah (waltzes and polkas), rock (old, heavy, alternative), traditional country, new country, country rock, and classical--that I would hate to choose. If forced to choose, it would be rock.

Let's not forget these painful toys...Klick Klacks I attended a rural elementary school, and Klackers were outlawed after someone took out a bus window with theirs.

I am late to the party but here is my hubby from a couple of weeks ago. He had just gotten home from India a few hours earlier. He was trying to stay awake, and the puppies (6 months and 10 weeks) were SO glad to see him!
