I got both kits this time as a subscriber so reduced rates and shipping was free. I like that you can cancel anytime. I like that there are classes which means I will use it. I like that there are add ons and I really like Amy’s aesthetic so I know that I will like this a lot. I’m quitting spellbinders and really trying to reduce other stuff coming in. I tend to buy stuff if there is inspiration I love so this is up my alley. I have to admit, I really really like both kits and this is what I was planning to do. However, to me, there is not clear information as to when credit cards will be charged for the July kit. Is it April 30th or May 31st? If I order the June kit today the last day of the month subsequent to my initial payment would be April 30th, right? Knowing what I know about TSM, I feel like there is a catch I'm missing.

The website is up. The prices are steep. It's $114.95 (1 time purchase)/$99.95 (subscription) for the deluxe kit and $69.95 (1 time purchase)/$59.95 (subscription) for the standard kit PLUS shipping. The subscription part is weird. You can cancel any time after the first payment. There is info here on the timing of the first 3 kits: thestampmarket.com/pages/the-cutest-card-kit-ever-subscriptions

MDscrapaholic I’m so pissed off for you about spellbinders crappy customer service. It’s not something I would do under normal circumstances but at this point I’d probably order another betterpress from amazon and return the broken one.

I used to work in national parks. basically most americans think parks are amusement parks.. more like disney than a protected site. it is sad what goes on. Well most Americans think Mount Rushmore is a national treasure instead of the ultimate graffiti of carving the faces of 4 white men into the side of a mountain on stolen Indian land. 🤷🏼♀️

How do you think she achieved the metallic look on the background? Do you think this is stamped in versamark and brushed with perfect pearls on black cardstock? All the cards I've seen have the same metallic-y background and it's just amazing. I just can't pinpoint the actual technique used. To me doesn't look metallic. It just looks like a medium gray stamped with a background stamp in black than the edges blended to get a spotlight in the middle. Hopefully someone took this class and can tell us about it. OMG! I'm looking at it in reverse! It was stamped with black ink! And that probably is a light grey cardstock! Here is another card I found. I swear I see metallic silver in this one too. So weird! http://instagram.com/p/C5yz_xVJOuE

I go - period full stop - you can make 100000 excuses on why you don't need to and people will say say it's fine. And it's fine - really if that's what you're looking for it's fine. I cared - that's not what people want to hear. I CARED who showed up. If that matters to you - do it - if doesn't don't - but don't ever ask why they think I don't care. It's never about who died- it's about who's living and whether you care to tell them I'm sorry for your loss - it's just that simple And I'll add - 2peas is notorious - in my mind for saying it doesn't matter - so - if you're looking for support look no furhter You sure get angry when others won’t be guilted into something. You can tell someone sorry for their loss with a handwritten card or by sending flowers. You are way too high maintenance.

pinklady , I didn't attend ,but did a little digging around. If you look it #heroartstampalong you can see different variations of the background www.instagram.com/explore/tags/heroartsstampalong/The card you like is made with this stamp. Probably stamped in black on a gray cs.https://heroarts.com/collections/cling-stamps/products/cg927-acanthus-bold-prints How do you think she achieved the metallic look on the background? I saw cards from Kristina Werners class on Instagram. If anyone took that class and can tell me how she created the amazing black/grey background, I would be so appreciative. I also saw a post from Jennifer McGuire that she was not able to attend to teach. How'd that go over? http://instagram.com/p/C5uVS2ALUl7

I just looked thru all my nesting die sets. Back in the day, Spellbinders had sturdy wide width basic shape dies. But now, all the companies have very thin, very bendable basic shape nesting dies. I have sets from AliExpress, Honey Bee, Hero Arts, Scrapbook.com, The Greetery and Waffle Flower. They are all exactly the same.
The only sets that are sturdier and thicker are ones with fancy edges. I just don’t think you will find that for plain shape dies these days.

Ladies...I have zero frickin' will power...I signed up. What in the world was I thinking.....this is the weekend before Crop & Create Delivered. I'm not warm and fuzzy about my decision but FOMO just got really the best of me. I'm so weak for pretty sparkly craft things.

I'm undecided. I like what I see ,but for some reason I feel like I will be disappointed with the value. I think her earlier statement about smaller event vs big ones its stuck on my mind and that's the only thing holding me back. This is exactly where I am too. Ugh, I wish she'd give details like Pink Fresh of what is in the kit.

I might not be able to find a lot of items that are 100% made in the USA, but I can certainly buy from businesses that sell those items in the USA that employ American workers.
I live within my means. If I can't afford something, I go without. Or I'll save until I can afford it. Do people not do that anymore? I'm not supporting Temu, Aliexpress to save a couple of bucks and have it now instead of waiting.
? ? ?
I don't follow your logic. So it's somehow better to pay more as long as the extra is going to an American? You do realize they'll be buying identical China-made goods from the exact same suppliers you could purchase from yourself. One could argue there's a benefit for more efficient logistics via bulk purchase and shipping over single-consumer packages, but that wouldn't account for the inevitable deadstock and liquidation since stores have to buy what they expect they can sell, with no guarantees of actual purchases.
You are talking to a cult member, don't waste your breath.

YES! I had to take a music class in college as part of my general ed courses. I lived at home at the time and I impressed my dad with how good I got by the end of the semester. Looking back, that must have been torture for my parents!

oh my God thank you. I just bought a new Mac laptop and I really didn’t want to have to pay per year. Full disclosure. Yes my Word, Excel and Powerpoint work perfectly but when I use it I do get a banner message that says something to the effect of this version is no longer supported. If that bothered me, I'd have to buy to the "new" version which appears to be 3 years old already and pay the $149. It does not bother me that it's outdated but I wanted to make sure you know that before you buy it. At some point you will get the same message.

It does take a little practice too. I had better luck with brushes vs sponge daubers. I never had good luck with blending using the Tim Holtz in blending tools with the foam applicators. I always had marks. Using blending brushes CHANGED MY WORLD!

Correct me if I’m wrong. Not to be a nay sayer, however, aren’t we supposed to be focussing on buying made in America products rather than send our money overseas? I understand that both US and China have policies on purchasing back and forth. Except I’m really hearing a lot of buy “made in the USA”! Personally, I have difficulties with companies that steal/copy creative rights. I don't now that this is wrong or right. For me personally, I work hard for my money and I want it to go as far as possible. If buying "made in America" was reasonably priced, I would. But I refused to get screwed over.

I've never experienced something like this. My legit fraud charges have always been reversed.
If it happened last fall and not again since AND the credit card company researched it and they found it not to be fraud, I'm guessing there is more to the story than you've posted.

I bought a pair of sandals from Temu for $5. I have to say they were better than I was expecting but they probably won't last long. I buy craft stuff all the time from AliExpress. I've never had an issue with my credit card being compromised at either place.
Go for it.

If you know this person is chronically early and you didn't tell her NOT to be early because your kid has a lesson, then that's a YOU problem. In general, I wouldn't mind if someone was 10-15 minutes early. Anything earlier than that, they'd be sitting in my living room waiting or sitting on the toilet (closed lid ) chatting while I finish up getting ready.

I’m another one who has all the mats. I had been using sticky mats to hold my cardstock while ink blending but pulled out my Altenew low tack mat last week. I LOVE IT! Definitely get one.
I also work on a glass mat. I started out with the Tim Holtz glass mat which is mostly black but changed last year to a white glass mat. I am so happy I changed. It makes crafting for me so much easier. I love being able to tap off my blending brushes on the glass and seeing the color. I feel like it brightens up everything I do.

If you are into layering stamp sets or ink blending and like the light, medium & dark shades of a color I'd recommend Pink Fresh Studio or Altenew. I have their ink cubes and love their color families.
If you are mainly into stand alone colors & stamping, I'd recommend Gina K or Concord & 9th. I have the Gina K full size ink pads and love them. I have the Concord & 9th ink cubes and a couple full size pads too. Concord & 9th are foam pads but I really like the way they stamp. While neither of these companies have a true light/medium/dark color family, they do have colors that work together.
