My hygienist left the practice and did not take another position during covid. I had definitely been staying at that practice for her, and it took me a while being shuffled around to find another hygienist who we like. I would have changed practices if it didn't work out that way. I get my teeth cleaned every 3 months, so a good, fast hygienist is important to me!

The kids love to snack at Disney, too - the carts are everywhere and are tempting! (Not to me, of course...I'm only talking about the kids. Ignore my Snacking Around Disney list...)
I would mostly make sure you have a way to get DS more money if it becomes an issue. When DD went with her band, one of the kids in her group didn't bring enough spending money, and he didn't have a debit card, reloadable card, or emergency card that his parents could use to get him money. His mom ended up getting me the money via Venmo or something, and I got him cash (and if I hadn't been there, we could have made it work through DD's account and an ATM).

My last set featured a 14" box spring a a mattress that tall or taller. I went out the first night and bought a step stool. I really loved the taller bed and miss it now that I'm in a more normal sized set.

IMO, Etsy or Canva are her friends at this point. I didn't order through the school's vendor because the number of people we would be allowed to have per kid had not been announced yet when the orders had to be placed. In the end, I made graduation announcements and shared them via Facebook and text that were way cuter than what the school provided. There were matching party supplies, too.
My ex always felt like his child support should cover his share of everything. There was never a point when child support covered 50% of her expenses and it isn't even close with her in college. I never bad mouthed him, but the kids know - I don't think she bothers to tell him about her performances any more. Over the past 2 weeks, she had a voice recital, a play, multiple ensemble performances, and received a big award, and he didn't set foot on campus (10 minutes from his house). That is all his loss.

I read about just throwing them in the bottom, and after the release got stuck a couple of times in a row, I’ve tried throwing them in. We have a machine that pre-dates pods, so there is no specific instruction manual. There isn’t a difference in how clean the dishes appear. Maybe the utensil holder would be better so that they don’t get so wet.

There are a number of options near me around $250K. In general, you are looking at 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1500 square feet, built around 1999.

Google Kentucky Derby outfits for men. I'm pretty sure this is exactly what he needs. Does he know if this is the dress every year or just this year? If it is every year, there are probably pictures on social media posts from last year. Also, there are always going to be the people who really lean into the theme and others who want to blend in, so he can take it to the extreme (wild patterns or full seersucker suit) or he can keep it simple (a pastel jacket, light or bright shirt, fun tie).

Now they use bioidentical hormones, not synthetic like hormone replacement therapy was. I'm 45 and 2 years ago I wasn't peri menopause but I'm taking a saliva test this month to test for that and other things. I have hormonal migraines, I have tried some things to help my levels and has helped but am plateauing. We're talking about bioidentical hormones eventually. I've looked into them and am very willing to take them when needed. Yes she mentioned the bioidentical hormones, specifically a pellet. Biote is the site she told me to read. She also mentioned a topical or patch. I can’t remember if the are bioidentical or synthetic. I think I could handle the cream as it would be a small step. I’m pretty sure a patch or worse the inserted pellet would make me crazy just thinking that I can’t undo them or dealing with the patch stuck on me somewhere. The happy, magical pellets. They give me energy, make me less irritable, regulate temperature, and the sex drive is great. I don't need estrogen, so I can't comment on what that pellet would do. When it starts wearing off, I can tell. I think the price is reasonable at $325ish every 15-17 weeks. I started taking them at maybe 46, and my pellet appointments are my favorite.

My daughter laughs everytime I say, "No post on Sundays!" She swears it is just a Harry Potter thing, but around here, the only Sunday delivery is Amazon packages, and those almost always come a day early on Saturday.

Wegovy is the weight loss version, and it usually a little higher dose than Ozempic. I take Ozempic for diabetes, and its a game changer, but it was a tough first few months. My insurance only covers Ozempic with a pre-authorization. They don't cover Wegovy at all, and its pricy.

I did a PhotoTile wall from Snapfish a few months ago after trying out all the major competitors for the look, price, etc. It turned out nice, and they shopped quickly. My only complaint is that the 12x12 was a little too heavy for the hanging mechanism, but I just added a couple of removable picture strips from Dollar Tree.

My dad is having a different kind of radiation than I hear described from other people - his took place in a surgical suite. Afterward though, he was freezing, so having a nice thick blanket waiting would have been nice. He's also been getting really cold randomly throughout all of this.

I got married in November, so I have had the chance to see the current trends. The young brides have no clue that older generations were told to send the invitations four weeks or six weeks ahead of time. I would have worried that if I sent them months in advance, my guests would have not had them top of mind when the wedding actually rolled around. I also didn’t want to send my older guests to a website to RSVP. We just put our cell phone numbers and asked our guests to text or call either of us. Almost everyone replied this way, which was a nice surprise.
Frankly, my observations as an older bride, but one who is completely comfortable with technology, was that my percentages of return were still higher when I used the simplest of message to communicate. I think that when you combine the lack of a universal RSVP mentality with a lack of technology adoption, you really decrease your RSVP rate.

Watching for kangaroos is definitely something I have never had to do! They sound like the deer around here at certain times of year - you have to watch for a little family lurking on the side of the road because they may decide to cross at any moment. We have the spiders though. I am careful to shake my shoes if they are left sitting out. We have the snakes, too, though most (but not all) aren't venomous. I check low hanging trees for them. We also have alligators, and I try to make lots of noise while kayaking to let them know where I am and to stay away. If you go to one of the big college football games around here, you'll probably either get dressed up or carry a cowbell (or someone in your party will). Tailgating is as much a part of college football as the game itself. Unlike most places in the US, if you want your tea unsweet, you must specify. Sweet is the default, and its WAY too sweet for me. On the flip side, most places have both ready, and its the good kind of tea. If you are from the bottom 10 miles of the state, you always have to specify when you tell someone where you are from. "I'm from the Mississippi Gulf Coast." You aren't just from Mississippi. KiwiJo, Mississippi sometimes gets messed up on US maps. We were hit by hurricane Katrina and it was reported on The Weather Channel that it hit the "land mass" between New Orleans and Mobile.

This is totally not what you asked, but my favorite souvenir from Paris was a set of placemats. I moved last week, and I tossed (or donated) every set of placemats I owned except those! They weren't from anywhere special - just a shop I wandered into while walking around. I would definitely keep your eyes open for something that just calls to you.

I think this is a "know your audience" thing, but I do think this generation puts blankets down a lot for play time/tummy time and to take pictures on. I went to a baby show this weekend and the mom opened 3 hand made quilts. She seemed appreciative and I'm sure they will get used. She also seemed to like a very soft, thinner blanket that will be good for on-the-go in our climate.
If my DD ever has kids, she would be all about a crocheted blankets - she asked for one just this week when I asked her if she needs anything while she recuperates from wisdom teeth surgery over Spring Break. She is in luck because while I was moving last week, I found one I saved from her great grandmother and had tucked away for her.

I have two. I bought one for myself the Thanksgiving before Covid, and I carried it 2 full years then off-and-on since then. It is a pretty brown one with blue specks in it. DH bought me a bright pink one for my birthday this year. They both are well-made and durable. I hate a terribly heavy purse, and I haven't had a problem with these.
This may be a plus or a minus depending on personality type - people notice them and comment, way more than they do with my normal choice (Coach). You'd think it would be just women, but some men do, too.

Get the car seat and stroller and then be the one who steps up to babysit, buys the annual membership to the children's museum and zoo - and then take the grandkids every chance you get, etc. TIME is what is most important.

I'm traveling for work and pleasure later this week. At my destination airport the only way I can get a rental from a well-known national brand is to book for Wednesday - Saturday; I need it for Wednesday - Sunday. I'm thinking about renting it for Wednesday - Saturday and then telling them I can't return the car yet (extending the rental). Is this a bad idea? I mean, I have the car right? But I don't want to end up in a situation where I end up with an arrest warrant or get blacklisted. So you are basically saying, "I have the car, screw you people who made reservations for Sunday." Am I interpreting that right? Dawn The car rental company should have a business model that takes some fluctuation in availability into account - not booking 100%, moving cars between locations, discounting rates for people returning cars from different locations on that date, etc. They have to deal with lots of reasons for fluctuation - plans changing, cars needing deep cleaning or repair, flight delays, etc.

It looks like Boar's Head is averaging $13.99/pound and the store brand is averaging $12.99/pound. If my memory is average, that is up $2-3/pound from a year ago. There are outliers though - like the store brand cajun roast beef that I like is normally $5.99/pp with a sale right now for $4.99/pp and salami, for whatever insane reason, being $16.99/pp. My very favorite childhood mystery meat, Olive Loaf, is coming in at a consistent $8.49/pp.

I recommended an IUD for my own DD when she was just a little older than your DD (she was terrified of going to the doctor by herself, but it was during Covid and she was 18). She was not even dating males at the time (though now she has had a boyfriend for 2 years, so it did turn out to ease my mind for birth control in the long run as well). There is a non-hormone version if that is a concern. I wouldn't have thought about it, but my doctor had mentioned that he recommended IUDs for his own daughters at college age because its just one less thing to worry about, and it stops or lessens the effects of periods in many women.

I'm not surprised. That water is gross though. I've seen the holding tank on a backstage tour. It has to be drained periodically to get all the junk people throw in it out, and you always see people sticking their hands in it.

Hum...if the price was really great and I loved everything else about the house, I would plan to put in a really great bathtub after buying, but if it was apples-to-apples with another house and that was the difference, I'm going with the house with the great tub that I don't have to remodel. Ultimately, it is a necessary luxury for me.

That is an expensive lesson to learn! It’s an old scam that makes its rounds in new ways. The first time I saw it, scammers had “accidentally” sent a check to someone that was too large and asked them to wire back the extra. By the time the check bounced, it was too late.

No - you can only see people that are in the same circle as you. For instance, I have a circle with my DD, and she has another with her dad and stepmom, and another with all of her friends. I only see DD.

The cheapest option when this happened with my DD was to buy a new phone, move the current number to the new phone, and put a new number on the old phone. I kept paying for the old phone. It was cheaper than cancelling the contract on the old phone, but I was closer to the end than you are. You'd have to do the math on 2 years!
Also, you might be able to switch numbers around on more than one phone if someone else doesn't mind waiting longer for their upgrade.
