I don't usually add meat to mine, but I will add a shit ton of fresh spinach to the sauce during the last 10 minutes of cooking. I like to add mushrooms, too, but I'm the only one in the family that will eat them.
I get my ricotta from the deli counter at our local fruit market and I buy the mozzarella there, too. I have them slice the mozzarella thin and just lay those slices in between the layers of sauce and noodles. I like it much better than the shredded because it gives a more even distribution of cheese. Also, fresh grated parm/regianno is a must - don't use the pre-grated crap in a can.

Ouch. I've never had to dispute anything, but we also don't have a cc linked to the xbox. They have to buy an xbox giftcard and add money to their accounts that way. Same with itunes. That's what we do, too. I don't use my credit card on Xbox or Itunes, and most Amazon purchases are with a gift card, too.

Raw pizza/bread dough (still do - every time I make a loaf of bread or homemade pizza crust I have to taste a pinch).
DH's mom made (and still makes) sandwiches with cold, ground up hot dogs with relish and mayo - yuck!

If you live near one of the passport agency offices, not just a post office, you could just go there and do it in one day. My sister booked a trip to Mexico not realizing she needed a passport. She went to the San Francisco office and got hers (not a renewal) the same day. They did have to stand in line, then pick it up later in the day. But it was worth it because their flight was the next morning! You can no longer just go into the passport office to get a renewal. From the website of the Passport Agency where she lives: If you are traveling internationally in less than 2 weeks or need to obtain a foreign visa within 4 weeks, you are eligible to schedule an appointment at this passport agency with proof of international travel.
smartypants71 - If you want to wait until 2 weeks before, you could do it in person. I'd rather not wait and would use one of the local expeditors to rush it through. ETA: I just checked the State Dept. Passport website as I am in the process of renewing my passport. Here are the current processing times they are giving:
Routine: 4-6 Weeks Expedited: 3 Weeks Expedited at Agency: 8 Days (based on need, restrictions (above) apply)
If you choose to go this route (going to the agency), you still have to pay the expedited fee.

I would expedite. I just sent mine and DH's in last Monday, expedited service because we are going on a trip over Valentine's weekend, and I didn't want to risk it. We received both passports back on Saturday. Expedited is very quick, but I wouldn't want to risk not getting it back in time.

Here it seems that it is all about football. DS suffered a concussion in May and doctors kept asking him if it was from football - it wasn't even football season here (he fell down our stairs). Then he got another one in September (this time from football) and is still recovering. But, he did something stupid a couple of weeks ago (sledding) and his symptoms worsened for a few days. So, yes, I agree with you - the focus shouldn't be only on the most popular sport for it, but rather they should reiterate that any repeated jarring motion can cause it.

I'm in. I try to do it each year and have added several recipes to the rotation. Does it have to be a main dish, or can it be a new side or dessert?

Just playing devil's advocate here. When my brother passed, I told a few of my friends and they spread the word. I didn't put it on Facebook for a day or two. Sometimes word spreads to acquaintances, people who you know but aren't close enough to telephone each other, especially in the first few days of grieving.

Here's our recent strep throat story.
My youngest DS (7th grade) stayed home from school one day because he had a sore throat and a headache. By mid-afternoon, he was fine. The next morning, same symptoms but I told him he was going to school and I would pick him up when the doctor's office opened to get him in. Older DS (8th grade) heard that and said he had a sore throat and headache, wanted me to take him in, too. So, off we go to Dr. While there, older DS confesses that he feels fine but wanted to skip his Spanish test. Both rapid strep tests come back negative, but they call the next day (or the day after, can't remember) and say that older DS (the one who was faking it) has strep!

I have had one for years and I haven't noticed any increase in spam.
I didn't like the idea of using it with my main checking account so I opened up a separate checking account that I only keep a few hundred dollars in and the only thing I use that account for is the Target debit card. I was concerned about thieves getting into my main checking account (and this was before the Target hack).

I would just say "All I have budgeted for brother's gift is $X." and let sister take it from there. She will either say "Great. I'll put in the rest" or she will say "Ok. We will think of something else."

Are there any types of cookies that don't freeze well? I want to get a jump on my Christmas baking and don't know if there are any types that I should hold off on making. I'm thinking of making some thumbprint or caramel-ish cookies.
Thanks.

I bought mine. I have most of them addressed and have mailed out the international ones. I am hoping to get the rest of them in the mail next week. I haven't sent out Christmas cards to our family/friends in a few years. This year, DH said "So, you're sending them to over 100 random strangers, but not our family?" so I have an additional 52 cards to send out.

I was torn between the S6 and the S6 Edge. The guy at Sprint told me that all of the good phone cases covered up the edge, so it wasn't worth the extra money to me to buy one. I don't know anything about the LG, but I really like my S6.

A few years ago I went to lunch with my son. There was an older man there who came up to our table and started talking with us. He gave my son a $2 bill and gave him a second one to give to his older brother (he asked me first for permission). After he left, the waitress came back to our table and said that he had several hundred of the bills and would give them to well behaved kids to make them smile. He had been doing it at that restaurant for years. My kids still have their $2 bills from that man.
