Ahhhnt--this Boston gal is Ahhhhntie Di to many! I know people think it is stuffy- but it is what we grew up with so it is what we know. I cannot imagine being called Ant....it just does not flow out of my mouth!

For the past several years my handmade cards were sent to Operation Write Home so I had a stamp for OWH for the back of my cards. I never even thought to sign the back of the cards- but now I realize I need to order a stamp for myself! Great reminder- and I will get myself an early birthday gift! If anyone has a great site to order a custom made by stamp- please share! I mailed out my 3rd batch of cards today and need to finish making about 12 more- then all of the list will be completed- and I blocked off some time this weekend! I have a hard time with mass production of the same design. I need to change it up so it has taken me longer to finish all the cards- but you all will have them before Christmas. I am having a great time with this- both creating and receiving- and I love opening my mailbox to see wonderful handwriting, decorated envelopes and fabulous cards! I am getting great ideas for next years cards from designs on the cards- both handmade and store bought-they are all inspiring!

Hi, Kohinoor is also a good brand- I have seen them at Joann and Michaels- there are sets of 12 or 24- so not overwhelming # of colors. I have derwent and prismacolor pencils as well- and I think Kohinoor is great for a beginner-- they are pretty creamy and go on nicely and I think they are less expensive than prismacolor.

I sent my international cards last weekend and I am still working on making my cards! I hope to have most of them in the mail Monday morning- we will see how many more I can create today. I have my address labels printed- but need one more sheet- my printer jammed- and I have my stamps purchased so I am prepared! It has been so fun to see the cards coming in and the variety- and where they are from- loving all of them! Thanks everyone- and thanks to Angie for making this happen!

Your husband looks so full of pride for your son-- how about something like-- Full of Pride, Bursting with Pride, Expanding with pride. Head and Shoulders above the rest, the old Romper Room song-- Bend and Stretch- Reach for the Sky, Stand on Tippy Toes (leave out the bend- lol!) Fabulous picture- captured a great moment!

Drop box is a great way to get pictures. I would complete the album and give it to her afterwards- I think some people will not complete them- even with a tape runner and mats. I gave my niece an album with finished pages of the engagement, etc and give her more pages as I complete them...dress shopping, cake tasting, etc. She loves getting them along the way.

I am going to a retreat next weekend too- where are you going? I will be in Rhode Island. 100 pages- very ambitious but I bet if you prep well- you can do it! Can you do a page in 10-15 minutes? I chat way too much to get much done-- but I am hoping to make some cards for our Christmas card exchange here! I have ideas -- just need to set them in motion! Have a wonderful time!

I hate when I feel smug about it- but yup- love when karma takes a big bite. I was in traffic recently and a young gal was cutting in and out of cars, narrowly missing several. I was actually joyful about 2 miles down the road when I saw the police pull her over! Glad you are smiling and on the good side of it!

I have not added to any of my collections in a while but all are vintage: thimbles- mostly sterling silver, beaded purses, postcards (love Ellen Clapsaddle) and egg cups. I also have a growing collection of orphaned socks and a few dust bunnies!

I love this show-- one of the very few things I record because I do not want to miss it! Every actor is perfect! Sue Sue McGrue--- one of my favorites too! I started off not loving Axl but he grew on me! And Brick is a fantastic character!

I understand the concerns.... and agree about moderation. But a cardiologist disagreed with me- I thought since I drink skim milk, rarely have red meat...an occasional hot dog or some bacon would be ok..... he said no- it was not a good trade off! bah humbug! Moderation!

My sister and I used to make costumes for her 4 daughters.....lots of work and not cheap- but every one of them were amazing! We did a purple zip up suit and a hood/headpiece with ears- added a hangtag- Princess Beanie Baby! Cruella,a wizard, Pocahontis...why didn't anyone want to be a ghost? ? A dress from the thrift store and we transformed one of the girls into Rose from Titanic, another zip up outfit and hood- altered the ears- Blue from Blues Clues- and my BIL was Steve- with a rugby shirt and slicked hair- what a fun dad he is! We had some great memories- and the kids loved it!
